Divine Emperor of Heavenly Destiny

By Cheng Yunsu’s side...

Not only were Marquis Longyin and his men present, but thousands from Dragon Flame Academy had also arrived. When Cheng Yunsu opened her eyes and stood up, Sun Shijin, Fan Jinhua, and the others quickly approached.

Yu Xiaoping asked nervously, ”Sister Yunsu, why don’t we just charge into Saint Su City?”

Luo Wendeng, Wu Caicai, Yu Xiaoping, and the others all gathered around. They were well aware of just how dangerous the city was.

After all, Chang Yuan and his family were in their ranks, a clear reminder of Red Sword City’s terror. With only a quarter of an hour left, it was impossible for Lu Chao to return in time, yet Cheng Yunsu was determined to enter Saint Su City.

It was far, far too dangerous.

Gently shaking her head, Cheng Yunsu spoke softly, ”No. My father is still in their hands. We can’t just charge in. I must go in alone first to ensure he isn’t tortured.”

Yu Xiaoping listened, her heart filled with worry. She was about to say something...

But Cheng Yunsu cut her off. ”Besides, we’ve learned a lot these past two days. The forces in Saint Su City are controlled by Shen Ji and his men, and they have people from Red Sword City with them. If we’re suppressed by their Destiny Bones, we will all die.”

At Cheng Yunsu’s words, everyone trembled. Sun Shijin gritted his teeth, his face a mask of bitter unwillingness.

’Destiny Bone suppression again,’ he thought. ’It’s completely unfair!’

Just then, Chang Yuan stepped forward. ”Young Madam Lu, I’ll go into Saint Su City with you. They want me as well.”

According to the proclamations from Shen Ji and the others, Chang Yuan was also permitted to enter Saint Su City.

Shen Ji hated Chang Yuan and his family to the bone. Conversely, Chang Yuan wished for nothing more than to kill Shen Ji himself.

They had engaged in a fight to the death before the Azure Flame Sect’s Forbidden Land.

However, Cheng Yunsu refused Chang Yuan’s offer. While Chang Yuan was now considered an expert in the Azure Flame Domain, he was still no match for the forces of Red Sword City and Shen Ji.

Marquis Longyin stepped forward and asked, ”Young Madam Lu, have you had your breakthrough?”

He vividly remembered the terrifying power that had erupted from Cheng Yunsu two days prior—it felt as though it could shatter his own Heavenly Destiny Bone.

She nodded, then shook her head.

Cheng Yunsu replied softly, ”Almost. I should be able to finish once I’m inside Saint Su City. As long as I have my breakthrough, we won’t have to fear being suppressed by Red Sword City’s Destiny Bones. When that happens, be ready for my signal.”

”It’s almost time. I have to go.”

With that, Cheng Yunsu leaped onto a Flying Bird Mount and flew toward Saint Su City.

Marquis Longyin and the crowd from Dragon Flame Academy watched her go, their fists clenched. Tan An suddenly asked, ”What did Young Madam Lu mean? That once she breaks through, she won’t fear suppression by a Destiny Bone?”

Fan Jinhua answered in a hoarse voice, ”Once she breaks through, Cheng Yunsu’s Heavenly Destiny Bone will advance to the Moon Level. If she leads our forces then, we won’t have to fear suppression.”

At Fan Jinhua’s explanation, everyone’s pupils constricted in shock.

After their encounter with Mo Jing, they had some understanding of Moon-level Bones. The idea that Cheng Yunsu could advance her Heavenly Destiny Bone to the Moon Level was astounding.

This was naturally shocking to everyone, but Chang Yuan and his family recalled how Cheng Yunsu’s bracelet had accepted her as its master...

”Lu Chao and his wife are truly incredible,” said Le Chun, Chang Yuan’s wife, her voice filled with sincerity.

「Slowly...」

They watched from a distance as Cheng Yunsu and her Flying Bird Mount crossed the city walls of Saint Su City. Immediately, another mount shot into the air to meet her and guide her down into the city.

Marquis Longyin said grimly, ”Those are people from the Saint Bone Zheng Family. It looks like Zheng Zhuhe.”

Beside him, Wu Caicai suddenly stepped forward, a cold glint in her eyes. ”It’s Zheng Zhuhe and Wu Yiyi.”

Even though she couldn’t see them clearly, Wu Caicai was certain she couldn’t mistake Wu Yiyi’s figure and aura.

...

Inside Saint Su City, Cheng Yunsu was escorted to the ground.

And just as Wu Caicai had seen, the ones who escorted her down were none other than Zheng Zhuhe and Wu Yiyi.

The moment they landed, Wu Yiyi ordered, ”Men! Tie this little bitch up!”

Wu Yiyi’s handmaidens immediately rushed out and bound Cheng Yunsu.

Cheng Yunsu did not resist.

Once she was secured, Wu Yiyi let out a sinister, cackling laugh. ”Cheng Yunsu, oh, Cheng Yunsu. Did you ever imagine this day would come? And where has Lu Chao run off to? Why didn’t he come to Saint Su City to die with you?”

Her voice was laced with hatred and gloating satisfaction.

Ever since she met Cheng Yunsu at Beast Flame Academy, Wu Yiyi’s life had been turned upside down.

Starting that night, her luck had taken a nosedive, and it had been one disaster after another.

In the end, her father had died in the temporary town set up for the Three-Academy Tournament, and she had been forced to flee with Zheng Zhuhe.

They had fled all the way from the Yanwu Battlefield of the tournament back to the Dragon Flame Kingdom. Zheng Liling had sent word that the Saint Bone Zheng Family had already secured the patronage of Lord Cyan Sword Mo Jing.

But then Lu Chao had to go and kill that son of a bitch Zheng Liling.

Fortunately, three days ago, Shen Ji had appeared with Vice Commander Liu from Red Sword City, and their luck had turned around once more.

Zheng Liling might be dead, but now they had secured the patronage of Red Sword City.

’The Young City Lord of Red Sword was at the Azure Flame Sect’s Forbidden Land. I, Wu Yiyi, *must* become his favored concubine!’ While Wu Yiyi was cursing Cheng Yunsu aloud, her mind was racing with these ambitious thoughts.

She dreamed of throwing herself into the arms of the Young City Lord of Red Sword...

Cheng Yunsu, of course, had no idea what Wu Yiyi was thinking. She spoke coolly, ”You are not qualified to question me.”

Her voice was ice-cold.

This sent Wu Yiyi into a towering rage. She lunged forward to slap Cheng Yunsu, but was stopped by Zheng Zhuhe at her side.

He said softly, ”Yiyi, don’t be rash. Taking her to Vice Commander Liu is what’s important.”

Vice Commander Liu and Shen Ji placed great importance on this couple. It would be trouble if anything happened to her.

The Saint Bone Zheng Family was finished now.

Three days ago, when Shen Ji and Vice Commander Liu brought them Zheng Liling’s corpse, they had nearly collapsed. The Saint Bone Zheng Family could only cling to Shen Ji now, begging him for the slightest bit of favor.

And so, Wu Yiyi suppressed her urge to beat Cheng Yunsu and led her through the gates of the Su Mansion, the residence of the Saint Bone Su Family.

Cheng Yunsu’s heart tightened. The Fire Sparrow Bone Meridian within her began to circulate rapidly. As she was led into the Su Mansion, her pupils contracted, and a low cry escaped her lips. ”Father...”

She saw her father, Cheng Chuming, at first glance.

In the front courtyard of the Su Mansion, Cheng Chuming was tied to a pillar. His body was covered in whip marks, and he was in a wretched state.

The scene reminded Cheng Yunsu of the past—of the time in the Cheng Mansion in Yangzhou City. Her so-called grandfather, Cheng Weishan, had also tied her father to a post, using him as bait to force her and Lu Chao to reveal themselves.

The only difference was that this time, Lu Chao was not by her side.

Around her father, his supporters—Su Juediao, Su Jueyan, Su Shangmo, and others—lay scattered on the ground. They had all been beaten to a pulp and were barely breathing.
