Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2568: Chapter 2568: Eyes Filled with Despair

“Who are you trying to catch, steward? It’s the common people snatching our water.” Qing finally caught his breath and said after calming down.

He recounted the events that had just happened to the steward, starting with their large wooden barrel suddenly leaking water.

“Suddenly leaking water?”

As soon as the steward heard about this, he knew it wasn’t that simple.

Their wooden barrels wouldn’t just suddenly start leaking; someone must be sabotaging them.

“A bunch of cunning scoundrels, daring to plot against me! Someone, come!” he shouted towards the courtyard.

The next moment, many people came running towards the steward, holding knives and sticks, looking as if they were about to fight outside.

“Steward, what are your orders?”

“Grab your weapons and come with me to see who is so bold as to cause trouble on my turf!” The steward led the way, hurriedly leaving the courtyard and heading outside.

“Father, they’ve left.”

In the courtyard, Qian Jiyun landed while holding the little baby.

Though there were still guards in the courtyard, he did not let anyone detect him. His cold gaze swept over the large wooden vats in the yard, and without guessing, he knew what was inside them.

“Father, are all those filled with water?”

Qian Yinuo naturally thought of that as well. Other than water, what else could be inside those wooden vats? Were all those vats in the courtyard filled with water?

“So much water, where did they get it all from? These people’s abilities are even better than the authorities here. Father, should we take all this water away?”

He asked.

Qian Jiyun looked at those wooden vats and shook his head.

He certainly didn’t want to leave this water to those people, but he didn’t want to alert the enemy either; he needed to understand these people’s background first to know what to do next.

“Let’s go.”

Saying that, he carried the little baby and flew out of the courtyard.

On the other side, by the time the steward brought people to the well, their wooden barrel was already drained of water.

Several grain collectors looked tearfully at the common people, who turned and left after quenching their thirst without even a glance back. They truly wished they could go over and kick them.

But those common people weren’t so easily kicked, as they couldn’t even count how many of them had drunk their water.

“How could this happen?”

A few people squatted on the ground, holding their heads in their hands.

They couldn’t understand how this had happened; how could such sturdy wooden barrels suddenly break with several holes?

Even if someone deliberately smashed several holes, it wouldn’t be that easy, let alone simultaneously hitting every large wooden barrel and striking them all accurately!

Looking at the large wooden barrels that couldn’t produce a single drop of water anymore, despair filled everyone’s eyes.

Especially since they had no idea who had caused their water to disappear. If they knew, they could report it to the steward.

“Where are they, where are they? Who stole the water?”

Finally, the steward arrived with a group of henchmen.

But as soon as they reached the grain collection area, they found the surroundings quite empty; only a few people were around, and the common people were either in line or gathered in groups talking, not appearing as if they had stolen any water.

“Stone, the water? How much was taken?” he stepped forward and asked the person squatting on the ground.
