Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2494: Chapter 2494: An Ending Without Even Bones Remaining

She wanted to go back to the Wild Berry Forest, but after walking for so long without finding it, she realized that she must have taken the wrong path.

Fear gripped his heart, and for a moment, he didn’t know what to do. He stumbled around the mountain for quite a while but couldn’t find the way down.

Already afraid from walking alone on the mountain, when she heard a strange sound, she couldn’t help but start crying.

Once she started crying, she couldn’t stop. She collapsed on the ground and cried.

She didn’t understand why her mother left her alone on the mountain. Why didn’t she take her back with her? Was it just to have her pick some wild berries for her brother?

”Lost?”

The Old Patriarch furrowed his brow, and the already wrinkled skin furrowed even deeper.

”Why did you come to the mountain?”

A child—did her family fail to teach her well or what? So daring to come to the mountain, even though he instructed the villagers every year to watch over their children and not let them go to the mountain.

Because there are wild beasts on the mountain, and if encountered, it would be a fate of being reduced to bones.

”I... I... I followed my mom here, but she left first, asking me to pick wild berries and return... but I don’t know the way, so... I’m lost.”

Daya did not intend to cover for her mother at all, she directly said it out.

In her heart, how can such a cold-hearted mother be her real mother? This wasn’t the first time. It was the same before. She worked tirelessly at home, eating worse than dogs.

If it weren’t for her father and grandparents helping her with work and saving some food for her, she doubted she would have starved long ago.

”My wild berries, the wild berries are gone, lost... lost, sob sob.”

Saying this, she started crying sadly again, knowing if her mother found out she’d lost the wild berries along with the bamboo basket, she’d surely be beaten to death.

”Grandpa Chief, my mom will beat me to death. She will definitely beat me.”

”She dares!”

The Old Patriarch was genuinely angry, his face visibly turning from red to green.

Driven by anger, he truly hadn’t expected that Big Sister was such a scoundrel, leaving a child on the mountain, and sending her to pick wild berries.

A grown-up—a person not capable of fetching what they want to eat themselves?

She even made plans involving a child, without thinking if the child might not know the way or might not be able to descend from the mountain. Or what if she encounters wild beasts on the mountain?

This truly is a beast!

”Daya, be good, follow Grandpa Chief back, I want to see what exactly your mother intends to do!”

”Dad, aren’t we going to see Prince An Yang?” The Clan Leader’s son asked upon hearing his words.

”Of course, we have to go.”

The Clan Leader said furiously.

He had to go meet An Jiuyue, those two well-behaved children absolutely cannot be given to that vicious woman, otherwise, who knows how they might be raised!

”Daya, follow Grandpa Chief; in a bit, Grandpa Chief will personally take you home.” He took Daya’s hand and led her along.

”Oh, oh.”

The little girl responded softly, still sobbing intermittently, yet to calm down.

To be able to descend the mountain was truly wonderful. She had thought earlier she might be eaten by the mountain’s wild beasts; she didn’t know what kind of animal made the sound she heard, but it was very terrifying.
