Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2489: Chapter 2489: Never Eating Again

“The Princess of the Third Rank certainly has foresight.”

Not far behind An Que, two secret guards were perched on a large tree, watching An Que’s every move. As they saw him head towards the village entrance, one of the secret guards smirked and spoke.

“Hmm.”

The other secret guard responded lightly.

The Princess took the Chief away, and the Horse Carriage will soon reach the county. Then, the Princess can simply reveal her identity, and whatever needs doing, whoever needs to be found in the county, the Chief will have to take care of it immediately.

By the time An Que pants his way to the county, the day will have already paled.

“You follow him; I’ll stay here and watch.”

“Alright, I’m off then.”

…

Under the treehouse, An Jiuyue held a wild berry twice the size of her thumb and showed it to her three sons.

“Take a look, alright?”

With her thumbs and forefingers, she split the wild berry into two halves.

Then, the three little ones saw a large grub wriggling within the wild berry.

“Ah!”

Little Qian Yinuo was so scared that he dropped the wild berry he was holding, retreating three steps backward, almost tripping over a Stone.

“Mom, Mom, this… I’m not eating it anymore, never again. It’s too scary.”

So terrifying! How could such a nice-looking wild berry have a large grub inside?

He remembered how he kept eating while picking earlier, and had munched on quite a lot. Could it be that all the wild berries he ate had big grubs inside?

Just thinking about it made him feel disgusted, wanting to vomit!

Little An Yixing and Yi Zhou were also covered in goosebumps.

They had never realized before that these wild berries might harbor such plump grubs. Had they eaten lots of grubs before?

“Mom… we… we…”

An Yixing struggled to speak, feeling nauseated at the thought of having eaten grubs before, thinking he wouldn’t be able to eat tonight’s meal anymore.

Why do these beautiful wild berries have such large grubs inside?

“No… not eating, not eating.” An Yixing echoed.

“Mom didn’t say you can’t eat them, just that you need to wash these wild berries before eating.” An Jiuyue gently instructed them, having watched them eat unwashed wild berries earlier.

While they’re still young, it’s necessary to teach them proper habits — not putting just anything into their mouths.

“Just washing them will get rid of the large worms?” Little Qian Yinuo seemed unconvinced.

Those large grubs reside inside the wild berries; how could washing possibly cleanse them away? Surely they’re still hiding inside, right?

“Certainly not.”

An Jiuyue shook her head, then took a basin and poured some wild berries into it.

“Look, first soak the wild berries in warm boiled water, then sprinkle some salt in and let them soak for a while. Those big grubs will come out.”

She poured warm boiled water and salt into the basin, waiting for about ten minutes. When she scooped out the wild berries again, a layer of grubs was at the bottom of the water.

The sight startled the three little ones, making them involuntarily swallow hard.

It’s so terrifying, truly terrifying. These grubs made their scalps tingle and gave them goosebumps all over.
