Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 796: Chapter 839: Not a Romantic Man

Seeing Ye Anxin satisfied, Ling Yueyue called over the salesperson, ”Please, can you get this dress in this lady’s size for her to try on?”

Ye Anxin pointed at her own nose, puzzled, ”Me...? Why should I try it on?”

Ling Yueyue gave Ye Anxin a glare, ”Just try it on if I tell you to, why so much chatter!”

At this point, the salesperson had already found Ye Anxin’s size and handed the dress to her!

Ye Anxin held the dress, utterly confused, ”Yueyue, what are you up to?”

”Go try on the dress, stop being so long-winded!” Saying this, she impatiently pushed Ye Anxin towards the fitting room!

Ye Anxin glanced at the dress in her hand, then looked at Ling Yueyue, and with no other choice, took the dress into the fitting room.

Because she was holding the child, Ling Yueyue found a place to sit outside the fitting room, playing with little Chu Yi while waiting for Ye Anxin to come out after trying on the dress.

Before long, they heard the fitting room door open! Ye Anxin walked out wearing the blue floral dress!

Although Ye Anxin had given birth, not only had she not gained weight, but instead, what used to be a medium-small build had become more voluptuous! Plus, her waist had recovered well, showing no signs of previous pregnancy, so the entire dress highlighted her perfect curves.

Moreover, sky blue is originally a color that complements skin tone! Ye Anxin’s skin was fair, with a rosy tint, and her eyes were bright, making her look exceptionally youthful under the weight of this dress.

Ling Yueyue admired Ye Anxin while generously praising, ”Good, very good! Pair with some flesh-colored or black stockings and a pair of tall boots below, and it’ll be perfect!”

Ye Anxin looked at herself in the mirror, baffled, ”Yueyue, what are you up to? You’re not thinking of buying this for me, are you?”

Ling Yueyue raised her eyebrows, naturally saying, ”Of course! Otherwise why would I have you try it on?”

Ye Anxin frowned, ”Why are you giving me something for no reason? Besides, I’m handling kids now, this kind of dress isn’t convenient!”

Ling Yueyue said irritably, ”I’m in a happy mood, and I can give you something whenever I want! Besides, you’re not nursing, why can’t you wear such a dress? Although you’re now indeed a housewife, you shouldn’t really dress like one! If it were another woman married to Mu Beiting, she’d definitely make an effort to dress up to keep his heart! A woman mustn’t neglect herself after having kids, otherwise, it’ll make her husband drift further and further away!”

Being lectured like this by Ling Yueyue, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but think of the woman who was with Mu Beiting earlier!

Thinking of this, Ye Anxin felt a change of heart and said, ”You have a point! But I’ll pay for this dress myself, no need for you to buy it for me! Even though we’re close, I can’t take your things for no reason!”

Hearing this, Ling Yueyue couldn’t help but roll her eyes, ”Ye Anxin, you stubborn girl, did you really forget?”

Ye Anxin scratched her head, clueless, ”Forget what?”

Frustrated by Ye Anxin, Ling Yueyue said speechlessly, ”As the saying goes, women turn silly for three years after pregnancy, and it seems it’s not wrong! You’ve had two kids, just how silly have you become?”

Listening to her, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but twitch her mouth, ”What exactly are you trying to say?”

Ling Yueyue sighed, ”Ye Anxin, your birthday is in a few days, did you forget? This dress is considered a birthday gift from me! Come to think of it, I haven’t given you a birthday gift in years!”

Hearing this, Ye Anxin blushed with embarrassment, ”Oh! So my birthday is in a few days! I really forgot! My mom mentioned it to me a few days ago, saying she wanted to celebrate my birthday! I think I’m too old for birthdays! And you know, I’ve never liked these things, so I practically forgot about it!”

Ling Yueyue said, ”Before, it wasn’t necessary, but now it’s different! Now you have a husband and kids, and your family uncle should at least acknowledge it on your birthday!”

”Oh, you know what Uncle is like, he doesn’t have a romantic gene, and he wouldn’t even think of planning a special birthday for me! So I’ve never had that thought! But, since this dress is your birthday gift to me, I’ll accept it gladly!” Saying this, Ye Anxin smiled at the salesperson, ”Salesperson, please bill this one!”

”Sure!” The salesperson nodded and went to ring it up for Ye Anxin.

Ling Yueyue hesitated a bit, ”Anxin, I have a feeling your family uncle doesn’t even know your birthday is in a few days, how about... I discreetly remind him?”

Ye Anxin waved her hand, unconcerned, ”Oh, forget it! Even if you tell Uncle, at most he’d have dinner with me at home, maybe buy a birthday cake, and then the whole family would spend it together at home! It’s no different from usual dinners! So... it doesn’t matter... it’s just a birthday, right? So many years I’ve been spending it alone anyway!”

Ling Yueyue rolled her eyes, helplessly saying, ”You...ugh...I really don’t know what to say about you! Saying your family uncle isn’t romantic, I think it’s all because you’ve spoiled him! Romantic men are made by women! You’ve just been too indulgent and tolerant, which is why he always stays the same!”

”Not at all! Uncle has changed quite a lot! He said once he’s done being busy, he’ll take me and the kids for a trip! He suggested it himself, not me! This is enough to prove that Uncle isn’t as cold and unromantic as he seems!” At this, a sweet smile appeared on Ye Anxin’s face.

Seeing Ye Anxin with such a sweet, happy expression, Ling Yueyue said grumpily, ”Alright, alright, stop flaunting your love in front of me! I get it, your family uncle treats you well!”

Ye Anxin said smugly, ”Uncle has always treated me well!” Saying this, she didn’t forget to throw a smug glance at Ling Yueyue.

Ling Yueyue gave her a big eye-roll without hesitation, then couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to her, looking down to play with little Chu Yi in her arms!

Little Chu Yi had been playing all morning! But he was truly worn out, as when Ling Yueyue looked down, little Chu Yi had fallen asleep in her arms!

Seeing little Chu Yi sleeping soundly in her arms, Ling Yueyue couldn’t help but say, ”See, we’re so boring that little Chu Yi fell asleep from it!”
