Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 789: Chapter 832: What Do Women Like?

Mu Beiting didn’t lift his head and said, ”Come in!”

The office door was gently pushed open from the outside! Pete, holding a folder, walked in front of Mu Beiting from outside and then handed the folder to Mu Beiting, saying, ”President, this is the information you requested. I’ve already organized it for you. Please take a look!”

”Just leave it there.” Mu Beiting still didn’t lift his head, his eyes fixed on the computer screen, while his hand slowly moved the mouse.

Pete was about to place the folder on Mu Beiting’s desk, but when he saw the mountain of folders already there, he paused slightly.

These were the folders he brought in for Mu Beiting to sign in the morning! He remembered placing them right there when he brought them in, and now they were still in the same place, seemingly untouched.

As Pete thought about this, he picked up a folder and casually flipped through it! Indeed, the documents hadn’t been annotated, and Mu Beiting hadn’t signed them either!

”President, why... why haven’t you dealt with these files yet?” Normally, the president could get through these files in just two hours, but it’s been four hours today, and they haven’t been touched!

Mu Beiting seemed oblivious, as if he hadn’t heard, continuing to browse the webpages on his computer!

”President, among these files, the ones in the red folder are urgent—they’re needed today, and you...!” Seeing that Mu Beiting was ignoring him, Pete couldn’t help but speak again.

To indicate the urgency, he always marked the folders, a long-standing understanding between him and the BOSS!

The president would always prioritize those with prominent markings! But what’s wrong with the president today? The whole morning? Such important files, and they haven’t even been flipped through?

Mu Beiting absent-mindedly said, ”I know, you can go out now!”

”President...!” Pete spoke again, wanting to say something, but was abruptly interrupted by Mu Beiting’s impatient voice, ”Didn’t you hear what I said? Get out!”

”...!” Seeing his boss angry, Pete opened his mouth, wanting to say something but ultimately said nothing, turning to leave.

After Pete left, Mu Beiting froze the webpage at a spot, resting his chin on one hand, staring intently at something on the computer and seemingly deep in thought while staring at it.

Eventually, Mu Beiting, just like Yan Qinghan, began idly playing with a pen on the desk while still focusing on the computer screen, deep in contemplation.

After a long time, Mu Beiting seemed to suddenly make a decision, shutting the laptop forcefully, then taking out the red files from the stack on the desk and working seriously on them.

By the time he finished, it was almost five in the afternoon! Mu Beiting first made an internal call, asking Pete to come over and take the annotated files out.

When Pete, holding the processed files, was about to leave, he was suddenly called back by Mu Beiting.

Pete stopped and respectfully asked, ”President, is there anything else you need?”

Mu Beiting hesitated for a moment before awkwardly asking, ”Do you know what women like?”

Upon hearing this, Pete was slightly stunned, then teasingly said, ”Is the president planning to give a gift to the lady boss?”

If it were before, he certainly wouldn’t dare joke with his BOSS like this!

However, these days, his BOSS has changed a lot, becoming much more amiable. Occasionally making a little joke, the BOSS wouldn’t get angry!

Taken aback by Pete’s tease, a hint of unusual redness appeared on Mu Beiting’s handsome face, for the first time showing a shy, embarrassed look in front of Pete.

Seeing Mu Beiting’s expression, Pete couldn’t help but find it amusing and said, ”Well, women generally like things like flowers, jewelry, clothes, and bags! However, I think, as long as it’s from you, the lady boss will definitely love it!”

Mu Beiting’s face darkened, unhappily replying, ”Nonsense, can you give a suggestion with actual meaning?”

Scolded by Mu Beiting, Pete awkwardly scratched his head, ”President, you know that like you, I’ve always been a workaholic, never putting in much thought into winning over women. So, I might actually know less about women than you do! So... so...!”

The more he spoke, the more embarrassed Pete became!

Thinking back, over the years, his mind was entirely on work! Many things never crossed his mind! Even his wife was chosen by his mother, and as he didn’t find her disagreeable, he got married!

After marriage, their relationship wasn’t particularly passionate, unlike the president and the lady boss, who lived a life full of deep affection, with fervor! They’ve just been living quietly!

He never thought about how to please his wife. His wife was also sensible, never asking for anything, simply a perfect wife and mother!

”Alright, I get it, you can go now!” Hearing Pete say this, Mu Beiting didn’t blame him!

He also knew that after many incidents, Pete was even busier than him! So, there was simply no time to worry about family!

Pete stood still, tentatively asking, ”President, should I inquire about it for you?”

”No need!” Saying this, Mu Beiting waved his hand to let him leave.

”Then I’ll head down now!” Pete nodded and left, holding a large stack of folders in his arms.

Just as he was about to touch the door handle, Mu Beiting called out to him again.

Pete turned back, puzzled, and looked at Mu Beiting.

Mu Beiting was silent for a while, then slowly said, ”Once things settle down, I’ll give you a week’s vacation. Spend it well with your family!”

”Vacation...!” Pete looked at Mu Beiting in disbelief, blinked, and for a moment, he thought he had misheard.

Since starting work at the Mu Group, although nominally from 9 to 5 with weekends and holidays off, he was constantly working, even if not at the company, then certainly at home.

Especially when the boss just took over the company, they only had three to four hours of rest per day, the rest of the time was spent working tirelessly for the company.

Now, although there was no crisis, the company was growing faster and bigger! Even during the New Year, he was always working, ready at any time, and truly never had a day off!

This time, the president suddenly said he would give him a vacation, for a week no less!

Why did it feel like dreaming?

Mu Beiting nodded, earnestly saying, ”Yes! A week off. Sometimes women need companionship, and relationships need to be nurtured!”
