Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 753: Chapter 796: Happiness

After breakfast, Ye Anxin wiped her mouth with a napkin and looked at Mu Beiting, asking, ”Uncle, did the doctor come for rounds this morning?”

Xiao Bai answered ahead, ”Yes! The doctor came for rounds just after we arrived!”

Ye Anxin quickly asked, ”So what did the doctor say? Shouldn’t I be able to be discharged now? I’ve been in the hospital for three days! Normally, women who have a natural delivery only need to stay one day, at most two days before being discharged!”

Xiao Bai nodded and quickly said, ”Yes! The doctor said mom can be discharged, but dad wasn’t assured, wanting to observe two more days in the hospital!”

Ye Anxin shook her head resolutely, ”No need, I know my own body! Let’s get discharged! There are so many inconvenient things in the hospital, especially for Xiao Bai, who has to run between the hospital and home every day, going to bed past midnight! That’s bad for his health! Besides, there are many rooms at home; the nanny can have her own room, which is much better than cramming several people in one hospital room!”

Mu Beiting still wasn’t quite assured, ”But your health...!”

Ye Anxin patted her chest confidently, ”I’m perfectly healthy! Look, I don’t even need IV drips anymore! People who have C-sections only need to stay seven days! I’ve already been here for three! And every time someone visits, the hospital room gets crowded and the air doesn’t circulate! Home is better; even though I can’t go out, at least I can walk around the floor a bit!”

”This...!” Despite Ye Anxin’s words, Mu Beiting still felt a bit hesitant!

Seeing Mu Beiting still indecisive, Ye Anxin simply didn’t say anything more to him and pressed the red emergency button by her bed!

Not long after, the doctor came!

Once the doctor arrived, Ye Anxin got straight to the point, ”Doctor, discharge me! I want to be discharged today!”

At that, the doctor glanced at Mu Beiting, ”But Mr. Mu said he wants to observe for two more days!”

Ye Anxin responded, ”Forget about Mr. Mu, based on your own doctor’s standard, can I be discharged?”

The doctor glanced secretly at Mu Beiting again, not daring to speak.

Knowing the doctor’s fear of Mu Beiting’s ’authority,’ Ye Anxin quickly reassured him, ”It’s okay, just say it, I’ll take care of it, he won’t do anything to you!”

After hearing Ye Anxin, the doctor finally spoke softly, ”Based on madam’s current recovery, there is absolutely no problem with being discharged! However, it’s crucial to rest properly at home for the next month!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin smiled immediately, ”Uncle, did you hear that? The doctor said I’m fine to be discharged! You shouldn’t doubt the doctor’s skills! Besides, which hospital doesn’t want patients to stay a few more days to make more money! Since the doctor said so, I’m definitely 100% good to be discharged!”

Seeing Ye Anxin and the doctor acting in sync, Mu Beiting’s face darkened. After a long pause, he nodded silently!

”Doctor, please hurry and handle my discharge formalities! Let the butler accompany you!” As she said this, she winked at the butler!

She knew that if she left it to Uncle to handle her discharge, he definitely wouldn’t go! So, she had to let the butler go! Anyway, she really couldn’t stay in this hospital any longer! It’s too small, not convenient to move! A few visitors come, and it gets too cramped! More importantly, having Xiao Bai run between both places every day, she felt sorry for her son, not wanting him to be so tired!

The discharge procedures were handled quickly, with the butler and the nanny packing all of Ye Anxin and little Chu Yi’s belongings, and wrapping Ye Anxin up tightly before they all departed for home.

Once home, Ye Anxin immediately felt comfortable, even the air seemed much fresher to breathe!

Upon reaching the villa, Mu Beiting led Ye Anxin to the room to rest while the butler took the nanny to familiarize her with the nursery!

Because during the month when Ye Anxin was sitting the month, little Chu Yi would be staying with and cared for by the nanny, Ye Anxin had directly let the butler set up a bed in the nursery for the nanny’s convenience in taking care of her!

And over this month, Ye Anxin didn’t have to worry about anything; besides missing little Chu Yi and holding her, she only had to relax and rest well!

After a month of rest, Ye Anxin felt that her body had almost fully recovered!

On the day little Chu Yi turned a month old, Mu Beiting and Ye Anxin organized a simple full-month banquet for her!

Not many guests were invited to the full-month banquet, only Yan Qinghan’s family of three, Xiang Qingshi’s family of three, Huo Junmo’s family of four, as well as Ye’s mother and Mu Huajian from the Mu Family!

Initially, Mu Beiting didn’t plan to have a full-month banquet! Because no full-month or one-year-old banquet was held for Xiao Bai!

But he couldn’t resist Ye Anxin’s wish; Mu Beiting eventually compromised and agreed to hold a simple full-month banquet for little Chu Yi! Because the number of invitees wasn’t large, there was just one banquet table set!

Noticing that among the Jin City Five Young Masters, Gu Xingchen was conspicuously missing, Ling Yueyue couldn’t help but ask Huo Junmo beside her, ”Hey, what’s up lately? Why haven’t I seen Mu Beiting and Gu Xingchen together for a while? Are they having some disagreement? Every time you guys have a brother’s gathering, it’s either without Mu Beiting or without Gu Xingchen!”

Huo Junmo whispered, ”If it doesn’t concern you, don’t overthink! There are lots of things that even we don’t know about!”

”Oh! I was just curious!” Seeing that Huo Junmo didn’t want to answer, Ling Yueyue gave a sheepish grin and said no more, focusing on eating!

Halfway through the banquet, Ye Anxin held her child and, tugging Mu Beiting along, toasted everyone!

After finishing the toasts, she sat down and started eating heartily!

And Mu Huajian, who was sitting with Xiao Bai, had his eyes fixed on little Chu Yi the whole time! Seeing his eager look, Ye Anxin felt a pang of sympathy, and she smiled, saying, ”Old Master, you haven’t held little Chu Yi since she was born, would you like to hold her?”

As soon as she finished speaking, Mu Beiting’s expression changed while Mu Huajian looked expectant, ”May I?”

”Of course, you’re Chu Yi’s grandfather, how can you not hold her!” she said, getting up, walking over to Mu Huajian, and handing little Chu Yi to him, disregarding Mu Beiting’s grim face.

Mu Huajian, with trembling hands, held little Chu Yi tightly in his arms, lowering his head, unwaveringly gazing at the little one, his eyes filled with undisguised love and satisfaction!

Seeing Mu Huajian’s face filled with satisfaction, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but smile!

She knew the old man was really changing bit by bit! People typically want their families to be full of children and grandchildren, wishing for their children to be around them as they get older!
