Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 331: Chapter 331: Cherish It Well

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin blushed with embarrassment and smiled awkwardly, ”Hehe, Professor Su, please don’t make fun of me!”

Su Yichen said warmly, ”I’m not making fun of you! I’m just very happy to see you opening up! The Ye Anxin I know has always been cheerful and carefree! I hope you’ll stay happy and carefree in the future too!”

Ye Anxin nodded, promising earnestly, ”I will! I still need to thank you for last time! When I was in my most painful and helpless state, I was lucky to have you to talk to!”

”No need to thank me! I didn’t really help much!” Su Yichen paused for a moment, then continued, ”I heard you went to school today?”

Ye Anxin nodded and responded truthfully, ”Yes! Today was a required course, and I didn’t want to miss it, so I went!”

Su Yichen said with a hint of sadness, ”Hmm! I’ve officially resigned! My flight is tomorrow!”

”Oh, so soon!” Ye Anxin was taken aback, clearly not expecting it!

”It’s not that soon!” Su Yichen gave a bitter smile and continued, ”I’m leaving Jin City tomorrow! Are you available tomorrow? I hope you can come see me off! This might be our last chance to meet, and there might be no opportunities in the future!”

Ye Anxin readily nodded in agreement, ”Sure! I’ll bring my classmates along! I’m sure they’d all want to give you a final send-off!”

Hearing this, Su Yichen immediately said, ”No! Too many people would make it seem sad! I only told you, so it’s enough if you come alone tomorrow!”

”Alright then...!” Ye Anxin tilted her head and thought carefully, then nodded in agreement, ”Okay! Professor Su, what time is your flight tomorrow? I’ll come see you off!”

”Two-thirty in the afternoon, at the VIP gate!” Su Yichen immediately reported his flight details, and didn’t forget to add, ”I’ll be waiting for you!”

Ye Anxin solemnly nodded, ”Yes! I’ll definitely be there tomorrow!”

”Good!” Su Yichen nodded, exchanged a few words with Ye Anxin, and then hung up the phone!

Ye Anxin put her phone back in her pants pocket, hugged her books, and left the school, heading to the business car parked across the street!

Back at the villa, Mu Beiting hadn’t returned yet! Ye Anxin went upstairs, changed into loungewear, and took her books to the garden to review her lessons!

The next day, Ye Anxin left home early, and after getting off the business car, she went to a boutique near the school to pick out a gift for Su Yichen!

Although she and Su Yichen have always been just in a simple student-teacher relationship, Su Yichen has always been very kind to her!

Especially last time, when she had a conflict with her uncle, Su Yichen’s words were very insightful!

She knows that Su Yichen is a good friend worth making! With a good friend leaving, she’s naturally prepared to give him a parting gift!

After school in the afternoon, Ye Anxin had a simple lunch in the school cafeteria, and then, with the gift in hand, the driver took her straight to the airport!

Entering the airport, she went straight to the VIP gate!

As soon as she got there, she saw Su Yichen standing at the VIP gate, craning his neck to look outside. When he saw Ye Anxin, the tense lines of his face finally relaxed!

Ye Anxin quickly ran over with a smile, ”Professor Su, what are you doing standing here?”

Su Yichen smiled, half-joking, half-serious, ”I was looking out for you! My boarding time is coming up, and I was worried you wouldn’t come!”

Ye Anxin squinted her eyes and smiled warmly, ”Why wouldn’t I? I promised I’d come, and I always keep my promises! Besides, we’re now friends, and when a friend is leaving, I have to come for the farewell!”

Hearing Ye Anxin say that she considered him a friend, a child-like innocent smile immediately appeared on Su Yichen’s face!

Ye Anxin glanced inside the VIP gate and asked with concern, ”How long until boarding?”

”Soon, just over half an hour left! Come, sit with me inside!” Saying this, Su Yichen stepped aside to make way for Ye Anxin.

”Okay!” Ye Anxin nodded and entered the VIP gate with Su Yichen.

Su Yichen led Ye Anxin to a relatively quiet place to sit down.

Ye Anxin took out the gift she had long prepared and handed it to Su Yichen, ”Professor Su, this is the gift I bought for you, wishing you a safe journey! Though it’s not expensive, it’s a gesture of my heart, and I hope you’ll accept it!”

Su Yichen stared blankly at the beautifully wrapped gift box Ye Anxin handed over, unable to react for a while!

Seeing Su Yichen not reaching out to take it, Ye Anxin asked with slight disappointment, ”What? Don’t you like it? Although it’s inexpensive, it’s still a gesture of my heart! If you don’t like it, then forget it!” She said, starting to take the gift back!

Seeing her trying to take back the gift, Su Yichen hurriedly reached out and grabbed it, his hands trembling, and said with barely suppressed excitement, ”Thank you, I like it a lot! No matter what it is, if it’s from you, I will like it!”

Seeing Su Yichen accept the gift, Ye Anxin smiled contentedly, ”As long as you like it! We’ll be friends from now on! Even if we’re not in the same city, we can still keep in touch by phone!”

Su Yichen held the gift Ye Anxin gave him tightly in his arms, his eyes slightly red as he exclaimed, ”Do you know? Until now, this is the first gift I’ve received! And today is my birthday! It’s also a farewell gift, and it counts as a birthday gift!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin quickly apologized with sincere regret, ”Oh, today’s Professor Su’s birthday! I’m sorry, so sorry! I should have bought a more expensive gift! I really didn’t know today was your birthday!”

Su Yichen quietly looked at Ye Anxin and said with deep meaning, ”It’s okay, really, it’s okay! Your presence alone makes me very happy! This gift is already an extra surprise! I’ll definitely cherish it well!”

Ye Anxin said with a smile, ”Next year, next year on Professor Su’s birthday, I’ll make sure to prepare an elaborate gift for you! But, when you get to your new place, you must call me and give me your address! That way, I can send my gift to you!”

”Yes! Once I get settled, I’ll definitely call you!” At this point, Su Yichen paused and then continued, ”Anxin, promise me, live well with Mu Beiting! In our lifetime, not all the feelings we invest in will be reciprocated! Finding someone you love and who loves you is really not easy! If you find them, you must cherish them! Falling in love is easy, staying together is hard! Please don’t listen to others and do something you’ll regret for life! Mu Beiting might not be a kind-hearted good man! But, judging by how much he cares for you, he’s definitely someone who loves you!”
