Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 320: Chapter 320: How Long Are You Going to Keep This Up?

Mu Beiting threw the cigarette in his hand to the ground and strode over to check on Ye Anxin’s condition!

Pete was in charge of asking, ”Doctor, what’s wrong with our madam? How is she doing now?”

The doctor took off his mask and patiently explained, ”The madam fainted due to malnutrition! We’re giving her an IV drip to supplement energy and nutrition, but this is not a long-term solution. The most important thing is dietary therapy, to get nutrition from food! Moreover, ****** is pregnant now! If she continues to starve, she won’t be able to keep the child!”

Upon hearing this, both Mu Beiting and Pete were stunned!

Pete was the first to react, widening his eyes in disbelief, ”Pregnant? Our madam is pregnant?”

The doctor nodded and asked in surprise, ”Yes! It’s been more than a month! Didn’t you know?”

Pete said nothing, casting a probing glance at Mu Beiting!

Mu Beiting’s eyes darkened, and his thin lips pressed into a tight line!

The doctor sighed inwardly and said warmly, ”Let’s take the madam to the ward first! She hasn’t eaten for days and probably hasn’t slept much either! Fortunately, she’s in decent health; otherwise, she wouldn’t have lasted until today! Once she wakes up, make sure she eats more nourishing food, but it can’t be rushed. It must be gradual, little by little!”

Mu Beiting nodded but still said nothing!

The doctor signaled the medical staff to wheel Ye Anxin to the ward, with Pete and Mu Beiting following closely behind!

Once everything was settled, the doctor left! The ward was suddenly left with only Pete, Mu Beiting, and Ye Anxin!

Without even looking at Pete, Mu Beiting directly said, ”Call the housekeeper and have her prepare food for the madam!”

”I know!” Pete nodded and turned to leave the ward.

After Pete left, Mu Beiting sat down on the edge of the bed, reaching out with his rough hand to gently stroke Ye Anxin’s pale and haggard little face, a trace of inexplicable emotion flashing in his deep eyes!

In her stupor, Ye Anxin seemed to feel his touch and moved her head uneasily, her mouth opening as if to say something, but it only became a murmur!

Returning to the doorway after making the call, Pete stood there, unable to see his Boss’s expression as Mu Beiting had his back to him, but that gentle action was crystal clear to him!

It was like the Boss was caressing a very precious treasure, so gently as if it might break with just a bit of force!

The Boss truly loves the madam, and it’s a deep love!

Sigh...!

Pete sighed inwardly, sincerely hoping the Boss and madam could resolve their issues quickly and reconcile as before!

With Ye Anxin unconscious, neither Mu Beiting nor Pete left, staying in the ward to keep vigil!

As night fell, the housekeeper brought over the specially prepared meal for Ye Anxin!

After a while, seeing that Ye Anxin still hadn’t woken up, Mu Beiting told the housekeeper to leave!

The housekeeper reluctantly glanced at Ye Anxin before turning to leave!

Once again, Mu Beiting fell into apparent silence, doing nothing, saying nothing, just quietly sitting by the bed watching Ye Anxin!

Who knows how long passed when Ye Anxin’s tightly closed eyelids moved almost imperceptibly! Though faint, Mu Beiting noticed it!

Without a word, Mu Beiting pressed the blue button above the bed.

Ye Anxin’s eyelids twitched, then her eyeballs could be seen moving under them! After a while, Ye Anxin finally slowly opened her tightly shut eyes!

When Ye Anxin opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Mu Beiting’s concerned, handsome face!

”Uncle...” Ye Anxin moved her lips, her voice hoarse and filled with confusion, as if she couldn’t grasp the situation now!

”You’re awake?” Mu Beiting softly spoke up! At this time, the doctor arrived with a nurse!

Pete spoke on behalf of Mu Beiting, ”Doctor, our madam is awake!”

”I’ll give the madam a check-up!” The doctor nodded, then stood at the bedside and carefully examined Ye Anxin.

After the examination, he finally sighed with relief and smiled, ”The madam’s condition is not serious, she just needs proper rest and nutrition! Normally, someone like madam can be discharged by tomorrow! However, if you are worried, she can stay for observation for two more days!”

Without a second thought, Mu Beiting immediately said, ”Stay for two more days, until we’re sure everything is fine before discharging!”

The doctor nodded, not forgetting to remind before leaving, ”Sure! Now that the madam is awake, give her some porridge or soup to start with! Since she’s been hungry for too long, eating hard food right away could be too much for her stomach to handle, causing discomfort! Remember not to let her eat too full; start with sixty percent full, then seventy, gradually, and not too hastily!”

Mu Beiting nodded, ”Okay!”

Only then did the doctor leave with the nurse!

Throughout the whole time, Ye Anxin lay quietly on the bed, listening to the doctor and Mu Beiting talking!

When she first opened her eyes, she had no idea what was going on! However, slowly, her thoughts began returning, and she remembered what had happened earlier!

She remembered clearly that she was going to divorce her uncle! She packed her bags and returned to her parents, only to be brought back by someone sent by her uncle, and then she was confined at home!

To protest, she deliberately went on a hunger strike, hoping her uncle would let her go!

Then... she couldn’t remember anything after that! She only remembered that in her last conscious moment, she was incredibly hungry, so much so that she thought sleeping would erase the hunger, so she deliberately put herself to sleep!

After that, she really did fall asleep! When she woke up, she found herself here!

Listening to what the doctor said earlier, it seemed she had been hungry for too long, which was why she was sent to the hospital!

Could it be that she fainted from hunger?

As Ye Anxin recalled the course of events with her rolling eyes, Mu Beiting opened the thermal food box placed on the bedside table, tasted a bit of the soup inside, and found it still warm! Only then did he put the box back, reaching out to help Ye Anxin sit up!

But as soon as he touched Ye Anxin’s arm, she violently shook it off.

Mu Beiting frowned and asked in displeasure, ”What are you doing?”

Ye Anxin didn’t even look at him, coldly saying, ”Don’t touch me!”

Mu Beiting’s frown deepened, ”How long are you going to keep this up?”

Ye Anxin sneered, ”Making a scene? Haha...! After all I’ve done, and you still think I’m just making a scene?”

Mu Beiting said coldly, ”These days, no matter how unreasonable you’ve been, I’ve tolerated it! But you should know when to stop and not continuously test my patience!”
