Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 325: Chapter 325: Stirred Up?

She felt Pete was right! The problem that had been bothering her for days was explained clearly in just a few words by Pete!

The reason she couldn’t argue with Uncle properly was because they cared about completely different points!

She cared about Uncle’s past with Ruan Zhitong, while Uncle cared about her lack of trust and suspicion towards him!

So, every time she argued with Uncle, they never reached a conclusion!

Ye Anxin hesitated for quite a while before speaking again with difficulty, ”I just want an answer, is it really that hard?”

Pete retorted, ”The President wants an answer too, doesn’t he? Why don’t you trust him? Have you given him that answer?”

”...?” Ye Anxin was rendered speechless, only quietly looking at Pete and reflecting!

Pete continued, ”Madam, you haven’t known the President for long, so I understand you don’t know him well. However, I can confidently tell you that the President is someone who absolutely won’t lie! Since he said ’Tongxin Building’ was not built for Ruan Zhitong, then it wasn’t! Since he said he never deeply loved Ruan Zhitong, then he didn’t! In fact, the answers Madam seeks have already been given by the President, it’s just that Madam is not satisfied! Madam wants the President to explain everything clearly, but the President doesn’t even consider it worth discussing!”

”But... but... but...!” Ye Anxin still wanted to ask about watching the sunset and ’Tongxin Building’! However, after what Pete said, she felt she couldn’t even bring herself to ask!

With Pete’s explanations, it seemed as if the whole matter was her fault, as if she was being unreasonable!

In fact, Uncle was innocent from start to finish!

”Madam, you must remember, the President has such a vast and broad private enterprise, not everything has to go through him! Otherwise, what would those employees be for? Take the Mu Group for example! The Mu Group has a headquarters and subsidiary companies, and under the subsidiary companies, there are further subsidiary companies, and within those companies, there are various departments! Departments have department heads, subsidiary companies have subsidiary company presidents! And the President is just the headquarters president, overseeing the entire Mu Group! The requirements and tasks of each subsidiary, and the things they operate, are completely different! If every matter of each subsidiary had to be reported in detail to the President to handle, then what would those subsidiary companies be needed for? The President doesn’t pay them such high wages just to sit around looking pretty! He pays them to handle the subsidiary’s affairs! Many matters in the subsidiaries are within the absolute discretion of the subsidiary presidents, they don’t have to be reported to the President waiting for his conclusion! If everything had to be reviewed by the President, he would be working around the clock until he dropped dead! The President’s aim is to hire competent people to manage the company!” After saying that, fearing Ye Anxin didn’t understand, he didn’t forget to ask a final question, ”Understand?”

Ye Anxin nodded, half-understanding, ”I understand! You mean, when I asked Uncle if ’Tongxin Building’ was part of his assets, and he said yes, it’s because it really is part of his assets! But when I asked if he built it for Ruan Zhitong, he said he didn’t know, because he really didn’t know! Because the construction of ’Tongxin Building’ he truly had no idea about! It was all handled by subsidiary companies, and these matters didn’t need to be personally approved or acknowledged by him?”

Hearing this, Pete almost jumped for joy, ”You finally understand! Thank heavens, my breath wasn’t wasted!”

Watching his exaggerated reaction, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but twitch the corner of her mouth.

Ye Anxin asked again, ”So, I was deceived? Ruan Zhitong deliberately tried to drive a wedge between me and Uncle? Actually, ’Tongxin Building’ has nothing to do with her, it just happens to sound similar to her name?”

Pete continued to explain: ”And as for the sunset watching you mentioned! Let me tell you like this! When the President wanted to take you on a honeymoon, he specifically sent people to scout! The place where you watched the sunset was found by people sent by the President! For safety, the President even investigated every route, every tree’s location! That’s why the President was so familiar carrying you down the mountain! The President likes to understand the situation first in everything he does, to prevent unexpected situations! Knowing one’s own limits and the enemy’s is always the President’s principle for dealing with matters!”

Ye Anxin was shocked, her eyes widening in disbelief, ”The place we watched the sunset, was found by Uncle’s people?”

Pete nodded, affirming, ”Yes! If the President already knew that place beforehand, why would he bother to send someone to scout! If Madam doesn’t believe, I can get the scouting materials for you to see!”

Ye Anxin quickly waved her hand, ”No, no! I believe, I absolutely believe!”

Pete raised an eyebrow and asked, ”Now Madam believes in the President?”

”I believe, I believe! It’s my fault, I’m stupid, I believed Ruan Zhitong’s words, I misunderstood Uncle! It’s all my fault!” Ye Anxin lowered her head in regret, thinking about everything she’d done to Uncle these days, she felt extremely sorrowful!

After Pete’s words, it was already clear that Uncle was telling the truth! Uncle never watched the sunset with Ruan Zhitong, let alone built ’Tongxin Building’ for her! It was all Ruan Zhitong’s scheme!

Since the first two matters were traps she fell into, then the scene she saw that night of Uncle hugging Ruan Zhitong was definitely also a misunderstanding!

Reality was not as she had seen!

Since Uncle didn’t like Ruan Zhitong, he would definitely not let her touch him!

She was really out of her mind not believing Uncle and sulking over baseless charges! Thinking about it, she felt deeply guilty!

Pete hurriedly comforted, ”Alright, Madam, you don’t have to feel guilty! The President won’t blame you! Madam being innocent and prone to other people’s manipulation is very normal! Besides, the President’s character can indeed easily cause misunderstandings! Wouldn’t it be better if he clearly explained things! But he just doesn’t like to explain or talk! In a marriage, you should be mutually tolerant and understanding! Now that the misunderstanding is solved, just live well with the President! Don’t be tricked by malicious people again! Otherwise, wouldn’t it make your loved ones hurt and your enemies happy!”

Ye Anxin bit her lip tightly, not speaking! After a while, she raised her head, ”Brother Pete, then... can I ask you one more thing?”

Pete asked puzzled, ”What is it?”

Ye Anxin bit her lip, as if making a huge decision, slowly asked, ”Six years ago, did Uncle really have a relationship with Ruan Zhitong?”
