Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 321: Chapter 321: The Child Has Returned!

Ye Anxin took a sharp breath, closed her eyes, and inhaled deeply. After slowly easing the heartache, she calmly said, ”I’m not being unreasonable! I want a divorce! I’m not making a fuss, I’m serious! I am an individual, your wife, not your slave. You have no right to put me under house arrest or restrict my freedom!”

Mu Beiting domineeringly replied, ”I said, even if it means dying, you can never think of leaving my side in this lifetime!”

Ye Anxin retorted unhurriedly, ”Even if I die, I won’t stay by your side!”

Pete, who had been listening in from beside them, could no longer hold back and interjected, ”Ma’am, you’re carrying the president’s child in your womb right now. If you get divorced, what will happen to the child?”

He knew well that if they continued like this, the situation would surely turn worse and become uncontrollable!

He really didn’t want to suffer any more! Over the past few days, he had endured enough and was truly frightened!

However, it puzzled him! How did the two of them, who were on a good honeymoon, come to the brink of divorce?

What exactly made the Madam so resolute about her stance?

Just as expected, after hearing Pete’s words, Ye Anxin froze slightly, and her hands instinctively touched her still-flat belly, ”What? I’m pregnant?”

Pete nodded repeatedly and hurriedly said, ”Yes! That’s what the doctor said, truly and without a doubt, it’s been over a month! So, even if not for yourself, for the sake of the child in your womb, you should drink the tonic the butler brought immediately! This is what the doctor advised, and the butler personally instructed someone to stew it for you! The doctor said that if your body wasn’t in good condition, with the way you’re starving, the child would have been gone already!”

”A child, I have a child in my belly?” Ye Anxin seemed not to have comprehended the situation yet! Her hands touched her abdomen, her eyes looking at the ceiling, gaze unfocused, thoughts drifting far away.

She was pregnant again? Her child had returned?

More than a month already?

During this time, because of the things with Ruan Zhitong, she had a constant headache and all her attention was on Ruan Zhitong, even forgetting that her period was late!

Thankfully, it was discovered early, and the child was safe!

If the child had been lost because of her, she would never forgive herself in this lifetime!

The child, her child!

Thinking of this, Ye Anxin’s eye corners unknowingly grew wet!

After half a year, her child returned to her womb again! This was her child!

Seeing her expression, Pete eagerly continued, ”Ma’am, your body is very weak right now, you should have heard what the doctor said earlier, you must supplement nutrition immediately, otherwise, you won’t be able to keep the child! Don’t think about anything else, have something to eat first!”

”Alright, I’ll eat, I’ll eat! For the child, I want to eat something!” Ye Anxin sniffled, swallowed, and was about to prop herself up with her hands to sit up!

However, after fasting for days, her body was too weak to muster any strength, and just after raising herself a bit, she immediately fell back down!

Mu Beiting reached out to support her just as she fell onto the sickbed!

Instinctively, Ye Anxin wanted to shake off his hand! But then she thought of her current situation and drew back her hand, allowing Mu Beiting to help her sit up, leaning against the headboard!

Now, her body was too weak, getting up on her own was a bit difficult! She could only let someone help her up!

And with only Pete and Mu Beiting in the room, if she didn’t let Beiting help, surely she wouldn’t let Pete, right?

So, when Mu Beiting helped her up and fed her the soup, she didn’t resist, and obediently opened her mouth to drink the soup he fed!

Perhaps due to being too hungry for too long, just after the soup entered her stomach, Ye Anxin felt a wave of nausea, wanting to throw up but unable to!

Despite feeling uncomfortable, for the sake of the child in her womb, Ye Anxin endured and drank all the soup!

After finishing a bowl of soup, which soothed her empty stomach, the nausea improved greatly, and her growling stomach was no longer as hungry!

When the soup was gone, as Mu Beiting placed the thermal lunch box on the bedside table, Pete asked with concern, ”Ma’am, how do you feel now? The doctor said you need plenty of rest, do you want to lie down and rest for a while?”

Ye Anxin looked at Pete, her mouth opening several times yet she said nothing!

After drinking the soup, with a little strength regained, Ye Anxin lay down on the bed and closed her eyes to rest!

Regardless of whether she could sleep, resting like this was still beneficial to her body because the child in her womb needed to grow!

Pete stood by the bed, glancing at Mu Beiting who only stared silently at Ye Anxin, and suddenly felt the atmosphere grow awkward!

They were a couple, what was he doing standing here? Like a third wheel!

Yet he dared not leave!

What if the Madam and the BOSS started arguing again? At the very least, he could say something!

With the BOSS’s personality, he would only make things worse!

But staying here felt strange!

Pete thought carefully, hesitated for a while, and eventually left, waiting outside the door! If things went awry in the room, he could come in and resolve it promptly!

Thus, Mu Beiting stayed by the bedside, Pete stood outside the ward door, keeping watch for the whole night!

Ye Anxin, perhaps too exhausted, fell asleep the moment she lay down and closed her eyes!

Not until the next day, when sunlight streamed through the window, did Ye Anxin slowly open her eyes!

For some reason, the moment she opened her eyes, Ye Anxin looked at the bedside, where Mu Beiting sat last night!

As she turned her head, her clear eyes inadvertently met Mu Beiting’s deep, tired gaze!

Due to staying up the whole night, stubble grew on Mu Beiting’s chin, yet his eyes were still vibrant, showing no sign of an all-nighter!

”You’re awake?” Seeing Ye Anxin open her eyes, Mu Beiting stood up and poured her a cup of hot water.

Ye Anxin, struggling to sit up from the bed, glanced at the hot water Mu Beiting handed over, hesitated for a moment, but still accepted it and slowly drank it down!

Mu Beiting fixed his gaze on Ye Anxin, softly saying, ”Are you hungry? The butler will bring breakfast over soon! If you can’t wait, I’ll have Pete go buy some!”

Ye Anxin shook her head and, for the first time in days, spoke in a gentle tone, ”No need! I’ll wait for the butler to bring breakfast!”

Perceiving the change in Ye Anxin’s attitude, Mu Beiting asked again, ”Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere? Should we call the doctor?”

”No need, I feel fine, nothing is uncomfortable with my body,” Ye Anxin looked at Mu Beiting’s earnest and handsome face, and for the first time in days, she truly faced him directly!
