High Martial Arts: Grinding for the Supreme Talent

Chapter 111: Chapter 111: Extraordinary Strength and Speed

A data chart appeared in Lin Qi’s mind.

It was based on the fist power and speed for each realm, compiled by Blue Star’s major organizations using big data on Martial Artists.

The minimum Fist Power for a Martial Artist in the Second Realm was 1,000 kg, with a speed of 18 m/s.

The minimum for the Third Realm was 2,500 kg of Fist Power and a speed of 36 m/s.

However, by cultivating the Vajra Tiger Evolution Technique, one could possess 3,000 kg of Fist Power upon breaking through to the Third Realm—a full 500 kg more than an Ordinary Martial Artist.

Their speed would also be five meters per second faster.

This was a huge gap. In battle, a hundred kilograms of force could decide life and death.

Being just one meter per second faster could mean victory.

Of course, with better physical Talent, the increase in Fist Power and speed would be even greater.

Lin Qi clenched his fists. The Vajra Tiger Evolution Technique was already powerful enough, and that was before adding his own physical Talents: Dragon Energy and Tiger Fierceness, and Steel Bones and Iron Flesh.

’When I reach the Third Realm, my Fist Power and speed will be even more terrifying.’

At this thought, he strode over to the Punch Force Tester.

He hadn’t tested his Fist Power since breaking through to the Second Realm. He knew he was strong, but he didn’t know just *how* strong.

BEEP!

He flicked the switch, and the Punch Force Tester’s electronic screen instantly lit up.

Lin Qi took a deep breath, assessing his body’s condition.

’My Spirit is full, and I’m brimming with energy. My condition is perfect. I can unleash one hundred percent of my power.’

He exhaled slowly.

In a flash, Lin Qi’s gaze sharpened, and his body exploded with power.

His muscles activated in an instant, terrifying force erupting like a volcano.

He channeled power from his spine, which felt like a great coiling dragon. The two Great Tendons along his back lifted and pulled taut, and the fascia throughout his body bulged against his skin.

Lin Qi clenched his fist, gathering power as the Great Tendons in his body coiled like springs.

The next instant, the power burst forth. The stored energy surged through his Great Tendons, his Qi and Blood roiled, and all the force converged into his arm.

His fist shot out like a missile, tearing through the air with a piercing whistle. It whipped up a gale before slamming heavily into the Punching Target.

BAM!!

BOOM!!

The heavy blow sent the Punching Target shaking violently, unable to stop from the force of the impact.

BEEP!

A string of numbers appeared on the electronic screen: ”1,703.4 kg!”

A smile crept onto Lin Qi’s face.

’No need for the next two punches. My control over my power is already precise enough. One punch is all it takes.’

’Fist Power: 1,703.4 kilograms!’

This was his current Fist Power. Right after breaking through to the Second Realm, he had 1,500 kg of Fist Power, a tremendous amount of force.

Now, after cultivating the Vajra Tiger Evolution Technique for just a few days, his Fist Power had increased by nearly 200 kg.

While his own Talent played a part, the Evolution Technique deserved most of the credit.

”At this rate, when I break through to the Third Realm, my Fist Power will definitely be over 3,000 kilograms!”

”I’ll have Fist Power and speed that far surpass others of the same tier.”

Lin Qi then moved on to test his speed.

A moment later.

WHOOSH!!

He shot forward like a cheetah, a whirlwind of motion as he crossed the finish line, braking to a hard stop just before the wall.

BEEP BEEP!!

A series of numbers flashed on the tester: ”23.5 m/s”.

Lin Qi picked up a sports drink, took a sip, and smiled.

Fist Power: 1,703 kg!

Speed: 23.5 m/s.

These stats already far surpassed the Fist Power and speed of other Martial Artists in his realm. And that was without even factoring in his Spear Technique, which was far beyond that of an ordinary person.

In the future, he would have the ability to fight across realms—a Second Realm Martial Artist taking on someone from the Third Realm. It was no longer just a fantasy.

While he wasn’t a monster who had Awakened a Special Ability, his strength was still shocking enough.

Lin Qi let out a breath.

Lin Qi picked up his Long Spear and began to train. This improvement filled him with motivation.

His future was full of possibilities. The gap between his strength and that of an Ordinary Martial Artist would only continue to widen.

...

「A few days later」

Red Dome Martial Arts Dojo, within the Red Realm.

In a spacious arena, two figures were locked in a fierce battle, their weapons clashing and sending sparks flying.

CLANG! CLANG!!

One figure, clad in a black Combat Suit and wearing a mask that hid his expression, wielded a Black Great Spear.

He swung the Black Great Spear with fierce, domineering power. His Techniques were grand and sweeping, each strike carrying immense force.

It was like a collapsing mountain crashing down.

BANG!

His opponent, a man wielding a Battle Saber, raised his weapon to block the downward strike. He was sent flying back dozens of steps, his arms numb. ’What’s with this guy?’ he thought in disbelief.

’I’m ranked 158th on the Red List, and he’s only 105th! How can the gap between us be this huge?!’

In the instant of his Divine Split, Lin Qi seized the opportunity and lunged forward like a cheetah.

He raised the Black Great Spear high, his entire body tensed like a fully drawn bow, and then smashed it down with the force of a collapsing mountain.

Rock Gun Skill’s third Killing Technique—Overlord’s Tripod Lifting!

His opponent’s eyes widened. Feeling the immense power crashing down, he instinctively raised his saber to block.

BAM!!

The weapons collided. The immense force crashed down, and his opponent’s legs buckled under the pressure, his knees slamming into the ground.

CRACK!

His kneecaps shattered instantly. Lin Qi’s arm shot out, thrusting the Long Spear through his opponent’s throat.

SQUELCH~

Amidst the spray of blood, the opponent died, turning to Void and dissipating into the air.

[Yang Jian, congratulations on your victory!]

[Points +3]

[Total Points: 1,083]

[Ranking: 105 → 104]

...

Back in his personal Space, Lin Qi looked at the Long Spear in his hand and shook his head.

’My mastery of the Rock Gun Skill is still lacking. Especially the third Killing Technique. I’m not Proficient enough. I was 0.1 seconds too slow.’

’Otherwise, my opponent wouldn’t have even had the chance to raise his saber and block. I need to keep practicing this Spear Technique.’

After this brief self-assessment, Lin Qi looked at his status panel.

His rank had risen by one, putting him at 104th.

Lin Qi had been logging into the Red Realm to find matches frequently during this period.

However, the quality of his opponents was no longer as high as it had been when he was grinding his way to the Bright Moon Rank.

Those professional Martial Artists had left, since there was no longer any money to be made.

The people who remained had to constantly find matches and grind out more wins if they wanted to keep climbing the ranks.

Lin Qi shook his head. The quality of his opponents was too low, and his progress with his Spear Technique had slowed as a result.

After some brief consideration, he chose to log off.

...

BEEP!

In the virtual lobby, Lin Qi stepped out of his Virtual Cabin and walked toward the lounge area, where he saw Jiangtao, Guo Heng, Lv Xiang, and the others.

”Brother Qi!!” Lv Xiang, Wu Feng, and Qiu Siying greeted Lin Qi enthusiastically when they saw him.

Sports drinks and fruit were already laid out for him.

”What are you all talking about?” Lin Qi asked, taking a sip of his drink.

Jiangtao shook his head with a wry smile. ”Brother Qi, I just got matched against Cold Mountain from North River Province, ranked 9th on the Red List.”

”That guy is too strong. We’re both at the Bright Moon Rank. I’m ranked 158th, so you’d think our strength would be comparable.”

”You know I specialize in defense, but I couldn’t even block three of his attacks before he killed me!”

”That Cold Mountain’s Spear Technique has definitely surpassed the Tier Two Initial Stage,” Jiangtao said with conviction.

”Tier Two Initial Stage!” Lv Xiang and the other two exclaimed in shock.

Lin Qi frowned as well. Second Rank Early Stage... converted to panel data, that meant a mastery of over 30% into Tier Two.

’I’ve only just broken past 20% into Tier Two myself. That means the expert named Cold Mountain is at least 10% ahead of me.’

’The gap is even bigger than I thought.’

’If the 9th-ranked fighter is this strong... then how terrifying are the top five, or even the top three?’

The top three ranks had remained unchanged for a long time; their strength could only be imagined as even more terrifying.

Everyone knew that the top three and the top ten were in completely different leagues.

He was ranked 104th; there was still a huge gap between him and the Top Level experts. At this thought, Lin Qi realized he still had to work harder.

Whether in terms of his Qi and Blood Value or his Martial Arts, he still had a long way to go.

”Oh, right! The Red Realm is hosting a tournament!”

Guo Heng, who had been scrolling on his phone, suddenly announced.

Lin Qi snapped out of his thoughts, his eyes lighting up. ’A tournament? Does that mean there will be rewards?’
