Crossover Shipgirls: Building a Dimensional Empire from Scratch

”Seventy percent of Kancolle shipgirls have completed starship transformation.”

”The Eternal Snowfall’s keel framework is complete. Bulins is currently constructing the portside weapon and power modules...”

”Next stage will require large amounts of rare metals and high-performance alloys. Requesting resource transfer from other worlds...”

Day by day, Setsuna in the capital received continuous updates from the Starbase.

Most native shipgirls had switched to advanced starship hulls, now capable of fighting alongside Azure and Arpeggio shipgirls in space.

Education for the Horse Girls was on track; everyone adored these lively, adorable girls and helped them quickly adapt to city life.

Even after an expedition to another world, only a small portion of the new starship construction was done.

Building something on par with a lunar Juggernaut-class starship was no easy feat.

Its length and width dwarfed standard starships by hundreds or thousands of times; its sheer volume was beyond imagining.

”Tch, I feel like using my time distortion skill to AFK.”

”Waiting for hull conversion is too boring.”

Leaning back in his chair, Setsuna stared at the ceiling.

He could use accelerated self-time for parties, or slow his own time to effectively AFK.

At maximum curvature control, his own two days could mean months in the outside world.

”Commander, instead of that strange idea, why not spend more time with the girls?”

Aurora’s sweet face appeared in view.

She deftly reclined his chair, pressing his head gently as she spoke.

”Many shipgirls in the port say they rarely get to see you.”

”Just kidding.”

Setsuna yawned, catching the scent of roses.

He gave Aurora’s cheek a gentle pinch.

Soft and flawless—shipgirl skin was perfection.

”Ya—”

Aurora flushed, applying a bit more pressure to his head. She pouted lightly:

”Commander, p-please don’t... Everyone’s watching...”

Nearby, Dido, Belfast, and Noshirou squinted over.

”As expected of the Commander—bold enough to openly harass a shipgirl in broad daylight.”

”...”

”You’re all just wondering why your husband isn’t harassing you instead.”

Origami calmly voiced the cruel truth.

”As if! Who’d want to be with that guy?!” Formidable crossed her arms and turned away.

”Let’s have dinner tonight. What do you want to eat?” Setsuna asked Aurora.

He liked this gentle, adorable shipgirl who chauffeured him during refits and stayed by his side.

”Eh? Me?” Aurora blinked, too surprised to answer.

”Take me too!! Commander!!!” Formidable squeezed in, with several others eager to join.

”I can give you rides and massages too! I’m a carrier—bigger than a cruiser!!!”

”If Commander doesn’t mind, I could too—my hull’s even larger... zzz...” Shinano wagged her big tail.

Seeing the Commander invite one shipgirl on a date, others crowded in to join.

”Take me too~ Commander~”

”Can I reserve tomorrow?”

”Commander, my bedroom’s just been remodeled. Want to see tonight?”

”...”

Origami and Tokisaki Kurumi watched in silence.

Sure enough, in the entire port district, there were only two kinds of shipgirls—those who liked the Commander, and those who liked him so much it was twisted.

To put it bluntly, they could also be divided into those who had slept with the Commander, and those who hadn’t but wanted to.

”Husband, why do I feel like sooner or later the Horse Girls will end up like the shipgirls under your... influence?” Kurumi pinched Setsuna’s side.

”It’s called equal-opportunity love.” Setsuna reclined in his chair, surrounded on all sides by softness.

He couldn’t even tell which shipgirl he was touching—only guessing by size.

”Oh, oh, oh, this should be Formidable...”

”This one I know—Belfast!”

”Flat? Little Javelin, don’t butt in. Go back to class, be good~”

”!!!”

Just as the shipgirls were in a noisy tangle—

Beep—

Setsuna suddenly received a comm request.

”Huh?! Chaldea?!”

”I’m not seeing things, am I?!”

Shwoop—

The holo-interface opened, revealing two familiar yet somewhat unfamiliar faces.

”Hi~ Mr. Setsuna, long time no see! How’s it going over there?”

”Yo, Ritsuka Fujimaru’s here too?!”

Da Vinci had barely waved hello before noticing Setsuna surrounded by shipgirls—and Ritsuka nearby, looking on with envy and resentment.

”?”

In Chaldea’s few contacts with Setsuna, each time the scene was more outrageous than the last.

The first time, he’d been struggling to rebuild civilization.

The second, living like an emperor served by shipgirls.

This time, it looked like he was ready to start a party.

”Everything’s fine,” Setsuna said truthfully.

”...Yeah, I can see that.” Da Vinci hesitated.

”Uh, who were you again?” Ritsuka scratched her head after such a long time without contact.

After a moment’s thought, she clapped her hands.

”Oh!”

”Doctor Roman and Da Vinci! Chaldea!!! I’m Chaldea’s Master—we’re supposed to be saving humanity, right?!”

”???”

Da Vinci hadn’t expected that after spending some time studying abroad in the Starsea Empire, Ritsuka had all but forgotten her duties.

”So, Chaldea’s in such a rush to contact us... you’ve located a new Singularity?” Setsuna asked.

”Yes,” Roman nodded. ”The Chaldeas system had some issues, but we’ve fixed it...”

”This time, we’ve pinpointed the third Singularity—around the year 1573, in the middle of a vast ocean. Exact coordinates aren’t yet clear...”

Setsuna already knew: the Third Singularity—Sealed Ends of the Four Seas.

A naval warfare map—right up the shipgirls’ alley.

He’d promised Ritsuka and Chaldea to help restore humanity, so there was no reason to refuse.

”Got it. I’ll come over to discuss details in person—be there shortly.”

He rose and straightened his clothes.

”Commander, your ship’s still under refit. Should we wait?” Belfast asked.

”No need for the Eternal Snowfall’s full form to clear this Singularity,” Setsuna smiled.

”We’re a spacefaring civilization—just bring enough people and we can auto-attack our way through.”

”Oh, and call Gray—we’re going to meet the Olympian Mecha Gods.”

...

[Teleportation Ready]

[Main Node (Constantinople) → Node 3 (Chaldea)]

Shwoop—

Setsuna, along with Gray, Ritsuka, and several escorts, stepped through the teleport anchor and arrived in Chaldea’s central hall.

It had been a while, and the place was tidier and emptier than before.

Chaldeas still stood in the center of the hall, glowing with a soft blue light.

Setsuna found the spherical device increasingly suspicious—there had to be hidden secrets inside; it was definitely not just a simple mechanical construct.

But for now, during this stage of restoring human order, there was no need to dig too deeply.

Dr. Roman and Da Vinci watched Setsuna and his companions with curiosity.

There were quite a few unfamiliar faces.

The last meeting had been during the discovery of the Second Singularity, the Eternal Madness Empire.

Back then, Setsuna had just brought Siren experimental machinery and dragon girls home—relying on Gundam-world technology.

This time, people like Mio and Gray were entirely new to them.

Even the shipgirls carried a different aura; Da Vinci couldn’t identify each by name, but she could tell they had grown much stronger.

As for Ritsuka…

Roman and Da Vinci couldn’t make sense of her anymore.

”Come, sit—it’s been a while since we last met.” They invited Setsuna’s group to sit and exchanged greetings.

”Ritsuka Fujimaru, how have you been over there? Have you been studying magecraft properly?” Da Vinci asked, holding her hand.

”Magecraft? Who studies traditional magecraft these days?” The girl brightened up and began counting on her fingers.

”I’m now a Master who can pilot Gundams and command Spirits.”

”My skillset includes, but isn’t limited to: Spirit magic, basic dragon magic, Gundam piloting, enchantment reinforcement…”

”Plus, I have loads of premium items—enough to reach Anti-Army or even Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm levels.”

She emptied her pockets onto the table, revealing scrolls and gear, making Roman stare in surprise.

He picked up a few and examined them—the sealed magical aura was completely different from Chaldea’s, yet undeniably powerful.

Super-tier magic might not match the mightiest Noble Phantasms, but it was cheap, practical, and plentiful. As long as she had enough scrolls, she could fling them around freely.

”You… sure know a lot…” Da Vinci had been ready to chide her—you haven’t learned any Type-Moon magecraft at all, have you?!

But then she thought: Who cares which world’s magic or tech it is—as long as it wins battles.

And Ritsuka seemed to be having plenty of fun.

”Mr. Setsuna, how’s your civilization rebuilding going?” Roman asked with concern.

He remembered when they’d first met—both sides had lost their civilizations entirely and needed to rebuild from scratch.

If anything, Setsuna’s side had been worse off, truly starting from zero, laying bricks and building houses one by one.

Chaldea only needed to resolve Singularities.

”Hmm…” Setsuna thought back. ”Last time we met, I think I was expanding the capital…”

”We recently completed faster-than-light technology and are fully developing the solar system and surrounding star systems.”

”Our farthest exploration reaches about 3,000 light-years. We have around a dozen vassal worlds.”

He gave Roman and Da Vinci a brief overview of the Starsea Empire’s current status.

With the holo-projection displaying towering starbases and starships, the two were left speechless.

”…I don’t understand it, but I’m deeply impressed.” They both felt the same.

Last time they had visited, Setsuna had still been figuring out how to expand the capital and clear more farmland.

Now, they had leapt straight into the interstellar age?!

Faster-than-light travel?!

Ruling the entire solar system and influencing surrounding star systems?!

Even if Chaldea completed its mission to restore human order, it couldn’t compare to the Starsea Empire.

It took Roman and Da Vinci a while to fully grasp Setsuna’s achievements.

The Starsea Empire had grown into a complete interstellar civilization with tens of millions of people, staggering productivity, and advanced technology.

Hearing about the plight of the lolis from the Black Bullet world, Roman sighed in sympathy. Learning that Setsuna had given them a new homeland—and that they’d become key scientific minds in the Empire—Da Vinci was impressed.

Hearing about the Spirits from Date A Live, their gazes toward Mio gained a trace of awe. The girl’s abilities seemed absurd—possibly beyond even a Grand Servant.

As for Gray, Tohru, and Elma…

Roman could only tell himself the world was vast and full of wonders.

Dragon girls he could just about understand; nanobot technology was too far ahead—he wouldn’t even know where to start.

Setsuna’s entourage was a multi-world powerhouse.

”Incredible…” For all their knowledge and Chaldea’s extensive archives, neither had ever read of a civilization spanning not only the stars but multiple worlds.

Even history’s most famous rulers fell short. Alexander the Great had unified Greece, conquered Egypt, and toppled Persia, earning the title ”Conqueror King.” By that standard… if Setsuna ever became a Heroic Spirit, he would be an utterly absurd existence.

”Emperor of the Starsea Empire? Could someone even summon you for a Holy Grail War? What would your catalyst be—Eternal Snowfall or a Gundam?!” Ritsuka mused. She imagined that unless the summoner was a cute girl, Setsuna would likely turn the tables on them.

Thwack— Setsuna gave her a light chop.

”I can’t die, so there’s no relic to summon from. And I don’t answer to the Throne of Heroes, thanks.”

…

Once they’d exchanged updates, Roman and Da Vinci took a full half-hour to recover from their shock.

Their once destitute partner had soared far beyond them—hundreds of times more powerful than Chaldea.

”So, what’s the mission this time? We’ll definitely help you deal with the Singularity.” Ritsuka crossed her legs, speaking boldly.

”?” Roman stared. ”Ritsuka Fujimaru, what do you mean we will help Chaldea?” She clearly saw herself as part of the Starsea Empire now.

He composed himself and led them to Chaldeas, pointing at the marked Singularity.

”This Singularity is in 1573 AD, in the middle of a vast ocean. The central area has been altered, making precise location impossible.”

”There are only scattered islands in the region. We hope you can quickly find the cause.”

”Oceanus? I know it well.” Setsuna snapped his fingers.

It was the Age of Exploration—simple enough. A Holy Grail created by Lev had disrupted the seas, turning Earth into an alien ocean world. The goal was to retrieve it.

Unlike the first two Singularities, the third had two Grails—the real one held by the heroic Captain Drake, and the one brought in from outside causing chaos.

They might even have to fight a Demon Pillar.

”Pirates? Drake? Wait, someone shares my name? She’s also a famous pirate in history?!” A silver-haired, gold-eyed shipgirl in over-the-knee boots and a side ponytail perked up.

Drake, Royal Navy heavy cruiser—named after the infamous pirate Francis Drake. Hearing that the third Singularity had a Drake too, she had to see for herself.

”Another-world Drake, huh… Ah, but my only captain is the Commander…” Another shipgirl, black-haired and blue-eyed with antlers, licked her lips. Her beauty and voice were both dangerously enchanting.

”?!” Da Vinci thought she saw tentacles on her rigging.

”And you are…?” she asked.

”Golden Hind.” The black-haired shipgirl answered plainly.

”???” Roman and Da Vinci froze.

”You’re Drake’s flagship?!” They quickly pieced it together: Drake, the great pirate, and her flagship—the Golden Hind.

”No, I’m the Commander’s flagship~” Golden Hind corrected.

”…” They realized Setsuna always brought the oddest shipgirls to deal with Singularities.

Last time, it had been Jeanne d’Arc versus Jeanne Alter, with quintuple 533mm torpedoes going head-to-head with Noble Phantasms.

This time, it was Golden Hind + Drake versus Francis Drake.

How would that Heroic Spirit feel, knowing her flagship had become a shipgirl—and that in another world, she was one too?

Everything can be anime girl.jpg.

”Don’t worry about the details. Just wait for our good news.” Setsuna laughed and led them onto the Rayshift platform.

”Let’s go—we’re going to be Chaldea pirates.”
