Crossover Shipgirls: Building a Dimensional Empire from Scratch

In the legends of the Overlord world, there have been multiple instances of players crossing over. These individuals often arrived with power far beyond this world’s comprehension, descending like divine beings in machines from beyond the heavens.

Around 600 years ago, six players crossed over first. They saved humanity, which was then on the brink of extinction due to numerous powerful races, and brought faith to this world. They are remembered by later generations as the ”Six Great Gods.”

Five hundred years ago, another eight players known as the Eight Greed Kings arrived. They possessed powers rivaling world-class magic and original magic. They fought against nearly every powerful faction and wiped them out one by one.

Relying on brute force, the Eight Greed Kings briefly unified the world. However, they later fell into internal strife and killed each other, severely weakening themselves until they eventually vanished from history.

Afterward, the Overlord world fell into an era of demonic war and the Thirteen Heroes, until Ainz arrived with his guild, becoming the last group of players to cross over.

Thus, within some ancient nations like the Slane Theocracy and the Council State, and among ancient beings such as the Platinum Dragon Lord, the existence of players is well known.

These so-called ”players” always bring strange and powerful magical systems, their strength vastly surpassing the locals’.

They also leave a lasting impact on the Overlord world.

The Six Great Gods brought artifacts; the Eight Greed Kings altered the world’s magical rules and introduced the tiered magic system from YGGDRASIL, among other things.

Therefore, when the hidden ancient powers received word of a new arrival, they all began to suspect a new player had descended.

They were all eagerly anticipating what this new arrival would bring.

But soon, everyone noticed something odd.

—Very odd.

The opposing force was a technologically advanced interstellar civilization, but not a purely scientific one.

In terms of magical prowess, they also had bizarre entities called Heroic Spirits, Spirits, and dragon girls, whose strength was no weaker than the demons of this world.

Council State.

In an underground cavern.

A massive dragon covered in white scales coiled within its domain.

The ”Platinum Dragon Lord” — Tsaindorcus Vaision.

One of the strongest among Dragon Lords and the son of the Dragon Emperor, he was well aware of the existence of players.

The Platinum Dragon Lord listened seriously to his subordinate’s report.

”The Baharuth Empire, the Kingdom of Re-Estize, and the Holy Roble Kingdom have all been conquered by foreign invaders.”

”They didn’t use magic this time. They arrived in starships the likes of which we’ve never seen before, seemingly accompanied by many angels.”

The Platinum Dragon Lord turned to observe the image projected by magic.

Starships filled the sky, descending upon human kingdoms with legions of Angeloids. The Baharuth Empire and Holy Roble Kingdom surrendered almost immediately without much resistance.

The Kingdom of Re-Estize, unwilling to give up its noble privileges, assembled an army for a desperate struggle.

Only to be completely obliterated by super-gravity cannons and corrosion missiles.

”Strange...”

The Dragon Lord was puzzled.

He’d seen plenty of magic-wielding players, but starship users were a first.

Those things didn’t look any weaker than magic. Capable of annihilating entire legions in a single strike, their power rivaled super-tier spells.

Judging by their size alone, the starships were many times larger than he was.

Unbelievable.

After some thought, he lost interest in the Empire, Kingdom, and Holy Kingdom. Those countries were weak.

Even their top fighters, like the Warrior Captain and Fluder, were of no concern to him.

”What about the Slane Theocracy?”

”It seems they’re currently in negotiations with the Starsea Empire. There’s been no sign of conflict so far.”

His subordinate answered.

”Heh...”

The Platinum Dragon Lord exhaled a breath and flapped his wings.

”If they’re trying to conquer the world, they should be coming for us soon, right?”

”When they do, let me go meet those iron boxes flying in the sky...”

The locals had no way to deal with starships—neither magic nor arrows could reach them.

As a dragon, the Platinum Dragon Lord believed he could at least put up a fight.

”Go, summon the troops...”

”No need.”

Before he could finish speaking, a crisp girl’s voice echoed in his ears.

”The Commander sent me to conquer you.”

Shua —

A teleportation gate opened before him.

Out stepped a dragon girl with golden twin-tails, dragon horns atop her head, and a long tail trailing behind.

Tohru tilted her head as she sized up the massive dragon before her.

”Tch, so you’re the Platinum Dragon Lord? The Commander said you’re the strongest dragon in this world?”

”You look pretty weak—you’re kind of embarrassing our dragon race...”

”???”

The Platinum Dragon Lord was stunned.

He hurriedly stood up, instinctively stepping back a few paces.

”How did you get in here?!”

His location was a top secret within the Council State, sealed off from the outside world by layers of magic.

”Please, even Kanna could get through your barrier.”

”Are you seriously a dragon? How many years have you lived?”

Tohru inspected him closely from head to tail, her face full of disdain.

So weak.

When Setsuna mentioned dragons in the Overlord world, Tohru had been excited.

She was proud of her heritage and wanted to see what dragons from other worlds were like.

But not only were these not half-divine like her, the dragons of the Council State seemed more like oversized flying lizards to her.

They had no divinity at all.

”!??”

The Platinum Dragon Lord was floored. He was used to looking down on humans.

Now there was racism within the dragon race?

Was she just stripping him of his dragon status?

”You’re a dragon too?!”

He stared at Tohru. She bore some draconic traits, but humanoid dragons were unheard of in this world.

”Yep.”

Tohru nodded.

”Long story short—are you going to surrender or not?”

”Impossible!”

”Dragons never bow!!!”

The Platinum Dragon Lord roared. Several enormous blue magic circles formed around his head and beneath him, swirling with vast magical energy.

In an instant, the sky changed color. Thunder and lightning roared outside.

”Origin magic! The Dragon Lord is casting Origin magic!!”

The other dragons of the Council State were terrified at the sight.

Origin magic, stronger than super-tier magic, could only be used by the Platinum Dragon Lord and the Deep Darkness Dragon Lord.

Violent energy gathered within the cave, threatening to devour the petite dragon girl before them.

ROAR!!!

The Platinum Dragon Lord charged a rainbow-colored energy sphere in his mouth, aiming it at Tohru.

The sphere grew brighter and larger.

And then—

Smack —

Tohru slapped him across the face, sending the Platinum Dragon Lord flying dozens of meters before embedding him into the wall.

The long-gestating magic dissipated on the spot.

”What’s with all the theatrics? Come meet the Commander and behave.”

”Act up again, and I’ll skin you alive.”

The dragon girl kicked him a few more times before dragging him out by the tail and opening another teleportation gate.

Before leaving, she turned back to look at the trembling young dragons.

”By the way, where are the Deep Darkness Dragon Lord and the Heavenly Dragon Lord? Point me the way, I’ll bring them too.”

...

The shipgirls, dragon girls, and Spirits sent to the Overlord world were extremely efficient in their conquest.

Faced with a space fleet, the locals had no means to resist.

Within a few days, wave after wave of shuttles arrived, each bringing kings and emperors up to kneel before Setsuna.

Every force or nation listed on the war declaration—none escaped.

”Hmm...”

Setsuna reviewed the map on the holographic interface.

For each conquered nation, he painted its territory blue from red.

He simply sat at central command and directed the entire operation.

”Holy Kingdom, surrendered. Baharuth Empire, surrendered. Argland Council State, surrendered. Lizardmen tribes...”

As he was coloring in the map—

Beep —

A communication request came through.

On the screen appeared a shipgirl with purple-gold eyes and large fox ears.

”Musashi? What’s up?”

Setsuna asked. He recalled Musashi and the Sakura Empire fleet were in charge of conquering the Slane Theocracy—the strongest human nation in the Overlord world.

”Commander, we’ve hit a bit of a situation...”

Musashi hesitated.

”The high command of the Theocracy has generally agreed to surrender, but they have one small condition...”

”Locals trying to negotiate with me? Do they need a beating?”

Setsuna was unimpressed.

”Uh... no, it’s like this, Commander.”

Musashi paused.

”You know about the Six Great Gods, Godkin bloodlines, and Antilene, right?”

”Oh?”

Setsuna recalled.

The Six Great Gods were the first players to cross into the Overlord world.

They left their bloodlines behind, giving rise to the so-called ”Godkin.”

Godkin who inherited the players’ genes had power far beyond the natives.

Antilene inherited blood from both the Six Great Gods and the Eight Greed Kings, making her a ”regressive Godkin”—the strongest human in this world.

The author once declared that if Ainz had not crossed over, Antilene would have become this world’s ”Overlord.”

”I know. So what about it?”

”Here’s the thing.”

Musashi took a deep breath, as if preparing to explain something outrageous.

”The Theocracy has long wanted to cultivate stronger Godkin bloodlines. Their plan was to have individuals with those bloodlines mate with players—essentially, to combine with Godkin to produce even stronger offspring.”

”They’ve been searching for a suitable husband for Antilene. Now that they know you’re an otherworlder, they hope you’ll marry and breed with her.”

”In exchange, the Theocracy is willing to surrender.”

”...”

Setsuna and the shipgirls on the bridge froze, looking at each other.

Taihou and he spoke in unison:

”That’s a great deal?!”

”In your dreams!!!”

”...”

”Commander!!!”

Taihou pinched Setsuna, and the room went quiet for a moment.

Setsuna cleared his throat.

”Marriage is out of the question. The Theocracy can only become a vassal.”

”But Antilene... I might keep her.”
