Crossover Shipgirls: Building a Dimensional Empire from Scratch

Click—

As the lower hatch of the starship opened, Artoria, Jeanne d’Arc, Jeanne Alter, and the two dragon girls leapt down.

They stepped forward to assess the situation.

”How are you? Can you stand?”

Jeanne d’Arc helped the Sword Maiden to her feet.

The goblins had deliberately avoided her vital points to capture her alive, only striking her leg and head with slings.

”Ah—”

The girl staggered, unable to stay upright.

”I... I have healing medicine in my bag, please...”

”No need for that.”

Elma stepped forward, summoning a magic circle before her. A soft surge of magic entered the girl’s body.

Within a few breaths, all her injuries had healed.

”Ah...”

The Sword Maiden looked in shock at the dragon girl.

The skill she had used was something entirely unfamiliar to her—both in effect and efficiency, it far surpassed the cleric in her party.

Meanwhile, Jeanne Alter and Tohru explored deeper into the cave.

Inside the crude underground nest, they found several battered and trembling girls. Judging by their appearance, they were village girls from nearby areas.

The moment they saw Jeanne and Tohru, they clung to their legs and sobbed as if they had found salvation.

There were also a few goblin younglings huddled in fear, trembling at the sight of the two.

”Tsk. Commander, looks like there’s barely any loot here—just some adventurer scraps collected by the goblins.”

”A few victims and goblin juveniles too.”

Tohru rifled through a box and reported to Setsuna.

”What would I do with goblin junk? Even putting it in storage would pollute the place.”

”Rescue the victims and destroy everything.”

Setsuna issued his order crisply.

Goblins in this world were disgusting creatures. He didn’t know what kind of insane god had created them.

But no matter—he could be a Goblin Slayer: Power-Up PLUS version.

”Got it.”

Tohru cast a calming spell on the victims and handed them some clothes.

”Put these on. The Angeloid will send you home shortly.”

”...”

Seeing the battered and mentally broken girls in the nest, the Sword Maiden was even more horrified.

She stared at Elma and Jeanne d’Arc with a profound sense of post-survival gratitude.

”May I ask... who are you?”

The Sword Maiden didn’t see any adventurer insignias on the dragon girls or Jeanne d’Arc.

But she guessed their rank had to be very high—at least around Gold.

”Let’s talk above. The Commander wants to see you.”

Jeanne d’Arc called for a shuttle and boarded it with her.

Technological constructs were completely foreign to the Sword Maiden. In her world, the most advanced tech was barely at flintlock level—

—and even that wasn’t very effective, often inferior to fireball-casting mages.

”Careful, there might still be goblin stragglers nearby...”

Out of courtesy, she warned Jeanne.

”Oh, I can smell their stench. Some are still hiding underground.”

Jeanne Alter clicked her tongue and spun her dragon flag in her hand.

[Roar, My Fury!!!]

BOOM—

A blaze erupted from her hand in the shape of a fire dragon, turning the entire mountain into an inferno.

The goblins hiding in caves, the remaining juveniles, even nearby magical beasts in the forest—all were incinerated.

”???”

The Sword Maiden stared in shock at the sky ablaze, nearly fainting.

She suspected they weren’t just Gold-ranked heroes.

No, perhaps even gods had descended.

...

A few minutes later—

Still shaken, the girl found herself on the bridge of the Eternal Snowfall, face-to-face with Setsuna.

She saw the girls gathered around him and quickly deduced that this man was the master of the starship, and the leader here.

”Y-y-you... are... I-I-I... thank you...”

At this point, the Sword Maiden was still very young, just starting her career. Faced with such a grand scene, she stumbled over her words.

Especially with the natural aura and pressure surrounding Setsuna, she found herself intimidated and stammered as she tried to greet him.

”Have a seat.”

Setsuna smiled and gestured for her to sit.

He observed the girl before him with interest.

[Sword Maiden (Brand New)]

After removing her filthy light armor, her thin undergarments perfectly outlined her body’s graceful curves. Her golden hair was tied into a ponytail, falling neatly down her back. Her blue eyes held a curious gleam.

In the Goblin Slayer world, she was essentially the second female lead.

She had once defeated the Demon King, was a servant of the Supreme God, and a Rank-Gold adventurer.

In the original plot, right after debuting, she was captured by goblins and endured three unspeakable days, becoming a ”mining card.”

Even as a mining card, she was an RTX 4090 top-spec version.

Because of her voluptuous figure and divine beauty, the Sword Maiden had tremendous popularity.

He had arrived early, just in time to encounter a freshly minted Sword Maiden.

Compared to a ”mined card,” Setsuna preferred brand new.

At this stage, her body wasn’t quite as alluring, but her face was already stunningly beautiful.

Given time, she’d definitely grow into a top-tier harem member—er, saint.

”We come from another world. Hmm, just here to investigate and study.”

Setsuna explained his intentions to the frightened girl.

In magical worlds, the concept of visitors from other realms was easier to accept.

After all, summoned familiars and such often came from other dimensions.

Although Setsuna’s starship was strange in appearance, the Sword Maiden forced herself to accept it.

She then hesitantly began sharing her own story.

Her experience was about what Setsuna expected.

She had only just become an adventurer, newly ranked Sapphire.

She and her party had accepted a quest to clear a goblin nest.

Unfortunately, due to underestimating the enemy, they were utterly wiped out.

Had Setsuna not arrived, she would have gone from [Brand New] to [Slightly Worn].

A few more days and it might have been [Heavily Used] or [Battle-Scarred].

”Was that the result of a divine dice roll?”

Setsuna pondered.

Perhaps some god had rolled a very low number when deciding the fate of the Sword Maiden and her party.

Thus, they perished in the goblin cave.

Meanwhile, heroes blessed with luck might have sixes on every side of their die. Even lying down and surrendering, a goblin would still trip on a rock and die.

Now that he had altered the Sword Maiden’s fate, in a way, he had overturned the god’s dice.

This world’s future might shift as a result.

”Commander... Commander.”

The Sword Maiden, seeing Setsuna spacing out, lowered her head and called to him softly.

She shyly spoke up:

”Um... I have nowhere else to go...”

”If-if you don’t mind... may I join your team?”

The girl asked cautiously.

”I... I know some sword techniques, a bit of divine magic, some spells... Even if you don’t need any of that, I can help with logistics...”

She could sense the immense strength of Setsuna’s team and instinctively wanted to cling to a powerhouse.

”Pfft—”

”Sure.”

Setsuna hadn’t expected her to bring it up herself, but agreed cheerfully.

He opened the holographic interface to check the roster.

One of the joys of conquering new worlds was collecting girls.

And then he noticed something slightly awkward.

He had arrived too early. The original timeline of Goblin Slayer’s world was ten years later.

The Sword Maiden was still just a girl. Others like the Priestess and Hero were currently just lolis.

”...”

After a moment of thought, he called for Belfast.

”Bring them all over. Send them to the capital.”

”Huh?”

Jeanne Alter blinked, then gave a thumbs-up:

”As expected of the Commander. Even the lolis don’t escape.”

”Hey hey hey—”

Setsuna grabbed her in a headlock, making her grimace in pain.

”What are you thinking?! I told Belfast to send them to the capital to study with the science lolis, alright?!”

”After rescuing the Sword Maiden, the plot in the Goblin Slayer world has already started changing. What if they run into trouble later?”

He had already overturned one divine dice roll. The butterfly effect might mean future events would shift.

Rather than let the Priestess and the others live here as pawns of the gods, trembling each day, it was better to take them back and raise them properly.

Setsuna felt he had a knack for raising lolis.

Starting from zero to raise a wife was a kind of joy.

After securing the Sword Maiden, Setsuna sent Belfast along with a few shipgirls to recruit the still-loli versions of the Priestess, the Hero, and others.

Their fates in this world were already decided by the gods. Setsuna was curious to see what their futures would become in another world.

”Next up, two more things.”

Setsuna crossed off a goal from his memo.

”We need to understand this world’s power system and bring something valuable back.”

”Also, wipe out the goblins while we’re at it.”

Taking the girls was only one of the objectives for coming to the Goblin Slayer world.

Understanding different magical systems and bringing back useful power was the real purpose of these interdimensional expeditions.

”Master, aren’t we going to conquer this world?”

Jeanne Alter sprawled across a chair, curiously asking.

”Not for now. This world... is a bit chaotic.”

Setsuna thought it over.

Goblin Slayer’s world was basically a divine dice-rolling playground, full of unpredictability and chaos.

There weren’t any valuable resources or unique specialties worth investing in.

—Unless goblins count as a specialty.

”Magic from another world, huh...”

Tohru, Mio, and several Heroic Spirits were intrigued. They wanted to see what magic from this world was like.

They quickly gathered around the Sword Maiden.

”What kind of magic or sorcery can you do? Show us something.”

”I-I-I...”

The Sword Maiden was flustered to be surrounded by such powerful figures.

”Our understanding of magic might be a bit different. We divide it into ordinary magic and miracles.”

”Magic includes elemental, summoning, and more. Anyone with talent and mana can learn it through training.”

As she spoke, she demonstrated two elemental spells.

After chanting a few lines, she clasped her hands and conjured a fireball, which she launched with a boom.

Jeanne Alter caught it in her hand and snuffed it out casually.

”So weak.”

The dragon girls, Spirits, and Heroic Spirits all shook their heads.

They could tell its power at a glance.

”I’m just a beginner. This is the most basic fireball. Silver or Gold-rank archmages can use more advanced spells.”

The Sword Maiden defended herself.

”Archmages? Can they destroy a country or continent in one shot?”

Tohru asked.

”...Even legendary heroes probably couldn’t do that.”

”But wiping out an army is possible!”

The Sword Maiden recalled.

”Still weak.”

Tohru scratched her head.

Magic in sword-and-sorcery worlds was always similar:

Conjure fireballs, toss lightning.

The difference was just power output.

These mainstream mages were nothing compared to the Spirits and dragon girls.

Their skills weren’t worth learning.

Offensive magic? Tohru didn’t need it. The Heroic Spirits had Noble Phantasms that were stronger. The Spirit of Origin didn’t care for it either.

”Besides magic, there are higher-level miracles.”

The Sword Maiden took out two worn books from her pack.

”Miracles are powerful skills granted through prayer to a god, much stronger than normal magic.”

”But the conditions are strict. You must be acknowledged by the god, and there’s a daily usage limit.”

”Depending on which god you worship, the miracles vary.”

”Oh?”

Finally something new caught everyone’s attention.

Setsuna also looked over.

He recalled that the Priestess used miracles from the Earth Mother, while the Sword Maiden used those from the Supreme God.

This concept of praying to different gods for blessings and powers was intriguing.

The only issue: their side didn’t have any gods.

If he wanted to pray, his only option would be Quetzalcoatl—that is, Lucoa.

”So... where can we learn them?”

Tohru flipped through the books the Sword Maiden had pulled out—both contained only low-level healing spells with limited potency.

”The Water Town, Supreme Temple,” the Sword Maiden explained respectfully.

”That’s where the Supreme God is worshipped. There, you can learn everything about miracles and prayers. They say even platinum-level miracles are taught there...”

”The Supreme Temple is managed by the Church. If we’re going to visit, we should change into proper attire and send a formal notice...”

She began earnestly explaining to Setsuna all the protocols—etiquette, how to talk to the bishops, what taboos to avoid, and so on.

Having lived in the Goblin Slayer world for over a decade, she held deep reverence for the Supreme God.

”Got it.”

Setsuna responded casually.

He piloted the starship directly toward the temple.

Before long, the Eternal Snowfall hovered over a grand, glittering temple.

Click—the side hatch opened.

Tens of thousands of Angeloids dove from the sky, led by Ikaros and Astraea.

”Take the Supreme Temple and Water Town.”

”Understood, Master.”

Boom!

Rumble rumble rumble!

The Angeloids faced minimal resistance from the city’s defenders.

This world was still in a cold weapon era. Even with magic, it was no match for the overwhelming power of the Angeloids.

Mages hurled fireballs that fizzled out on angelic shields, while a single corrosion missile from the Angeloids turned enemies to ash.

Within minutes, the battle was over.

A shuttle gently landed the team in front of the Supreme Temple.

The shipgirls and dragon girls were unfazed, but the Sword Maiden was utterly stunned.

”Aren’t you afraid of desecrating the Supreme God... of being punished...?”

The girl trembled with anxiety.

”A god can’t decide my fate with a dice roll. Why should I be afraid?”

Setsuna was unfazed.

He held no particular reverence for otherworld gods, especially not the nutcases in Goblin Slayer’s world.

”Once we settle down, we’ll off their god too.”

...

In the Supreme Temple’s library, the Angeloids had already organized the spoils.

All the scrolls and texts were sorted into boxes and shelves.

”Miracles... prayers to gods. Can we outsiders pray to their gods too?”

”Will they even respond to us?”

Tohru, Jeanne Alter, and Mio flipped through the tomes.

”Minor Healing—restores a sliver of HP to an ally... this counts as a miracle?!”

”Holy Light? Why would I need that?!”

”Purify—can cleanse dirty water or turn enemy blood into water? Okay, that’s kinda creative...”

”Isn’t there anything more powerful?!”

Tohru kept flipping, unimpressed by most of the miracles.

”Oh, this one’s exclusive to temple saints? A grand miracle?!”

Not long after, Elma pulled a thick, ornate tome from the shelf.

The cover was adorned with intricate golden patterns—clearly the Supreme Temple’s crown jewel.

”What? What is it? Let me see!”

Tohru and Jeanne Alter crowded over.

”Only servants chosen by the Supreme God can learn this...”

The Sword Maiden reminded them hesitantly.

”I don’t buy it. I can learn any spell.”

Tohru dismissed it.

The group huddled closer.

[Resurrection]

A miracle where, by sleeping beside a pure maiden, even the gravest of wounds could be instantly healed. Far surpasses Minor Healing or basic Cure.

”Oh?!”

Elma held her chin, reading carefully.

”This miracle heals not just physical wounds, but curses and mental trauma too?”

”It resets the target’s body condition via divine power. Interesting... way better than ordinary healing...”

”This might actually be useful. Should we learn it?”

Elma asked cheerfully.

...

No one answered.

She turned around.

The others all had odd expressions.

Tohru: ”...”

Jeanne and Jeanne Alter: ”...Maybe we should check something else.”

Mio, deflecting: ”This summoning miracle looks kinda nice too...”

”???”

Elma and the Sword Maiden were confused.

”Weren’t you guys looking for the strongest miracle? Resurrection seems amazing, no?”

”Why aren’t you interested?”

...

Tohru hesitated.

”I just think... it might be a little inconvenient for me to learn it?”

”Huh?!”

Elma blinked, not getting it.

”Why does a skill with such a weird activation condition even exist?!”

Tohru squinted and poked her.

”Besides, even if you do learn it, I doubt you’ll ever get to use it...”

”Eh eh eh?!”
