After returning from the Akame ga Kill world—and spending what seemed like a single night but was actually ten days of bliss—Setsuna’s life gradually returned to normal.

The forty-eight captured Teigu, along with all Shingu and their design blueprints, had been handed over to the engineering and biology departments for research.

Most of the offensive gear wasn’t all that useful, so the current research was focused on two pieces:

[Dimensional Formation: Shambhala] and [Demon God Manifestation: Demon’s Extract].

The former allowed teleportation, while the latter could grant ordinary people incredible ice-based powers.

With the little girls’ level of scientific prowess, Setsuna believed it wouldn’t be long before he received good news.

One day—

In the administrative building’s bedroom, Setsuna was pondering his next target on the starmap.

Tohru shyly approached.

”Commander, um... I have a favor to ask.”

The dragon girl stood with her hands behind her back, face blushing red.

”Say it. If it’s something I can do, I will.”

Setsuna answered without hesitation.

”Do you remember what I told you... the first time we... you know...”

Tohru twitched again.

”If you have time, I want you to come home with me.”

”Oh?!”

Setsuna recalled that on the second day of becoming a Dragon Knight, Tohru had mentioned wanting him to visit her home.

Since she came to his world from Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, she hadn’t been back at all.

Now that the latest expedition was over and things were settled, it was the perfect time to go.

”I don’t mind going with you. But why are you blushing?”

Setsuna asked curiously, seeing her flustered look.

”...Commander, I’m the daughter of the Emperor of Demise. According to our tradition, if I find a mate... I need to inform all my kin...”

Tohru lowered her head, her tail flicking nervously, fingers poking together.

”Because... because we might produce an heir...”

”???”

Setsuna choked on his tea.

Tohru was the daughter of the Emperor of Demise, the leader of the Chaos Faction. That meant her partner... would be the Emperor’s son-in-law.

He had basically married the daughter of a chaos underworld boss.

”Wait—am I going to meet your father?!”

Setsuna was stunned.

”Mm... yes. Because I want to spend my life with you, Commander. I want to introduce you to my father...”

Tohru said softly.

”And... I want to show you my world...”

Her earnestness moved Setsuna deeply.

She was ready to spend her life with him—of course meeting the family was only natural.

As for the heir thing... well, technically, the system said interspecies couldn’t produce offspring.

But he had managed to engineer mini shipgirls with biotech.

Maybe someday, there would be little dragon girls with her.

”Alright. I’ll go home with you.”

Setsuna agreed.

”Commander!”

Tohru jumped into his arms and hugged him tightly.

”Will it be dangerous?”

Richelieu asked with concern.

”From what I understand of your world, the Emperor of Demise—being the head of the Chaos Faction—probably has quite a temper, right? What if he doesn’t like the Commander?”

Taihou, Belfast, and Yat Sen all frowned slightly.

They knew how powerful Tohru was.

She could challenge gods. Though she lost and was injured, she still had demigod-level strength.

The Emperor of Demise must be even more absurd.

”Should we send a fleet to monitor from orbit? Dragons aren’t as effective on astronomical-scale combat as we are.”

Chen Hai proposed.

”No need.”

Setsuna waved it off.

”I’m not going to start a fight. I’m just meeting a parent.”

”But seriously... help me think—what kind of local specialty should I bring as a gift for my first visit to the father-in-law?!”

...

One day later—

Whoosh—

As the teleportation anchor shimmered, Setsuna and Tohru landed in a bustling city.

[Node 4: Dragon Maid World (Surface World)]

The Dragon Maid world was comprised of several smaller realms.

The surface world displayed on the teleport anchor was the human world where Setsuna and Tohru had first met.

Beyond the human realm was Tohru’s homeland—a high-magic world of swords and sorcery.

A land teeming with powerful beings, where the forces of Chaos and Order waged an endless war.

”Wow, feels like I haven’t been here in ages.”

”Maji yabakune...”

Behind them stood a silver-haired girl and a small dragon girl with pale purple hair and horns—Mio and Kanna.

Mio had insisted on tagging along, concerned for Setsuna. Given that the Spirit of Origin and Tohru were with him, Setsuna agreed it should be safe.

Kanna came along to visit home with Tohru.

”Lady Tohru can open portals to other worlds. I’m too weak to do that...”

The little dragon girl looked up at Tohru with admiration.

”I can only open them within this world. Compared to the Commander’s Authority, I’m still far behind.”

Tohru scratched her head.

With a wave of her hand, a red magic circle formed before them.

Boom—

Space twisted and was torn open into a large, circular portal.

Beyond the opening was an entirely foreign landscape.

Setsuna stepped through.

Kaleidoscopic light flashed before his eyes.

And then—

They stood halfway up a mountain.

Below them was a modestly sized human city.

At the gates were spear- and shield-bearing soldiers in armor.

There were no skyscrapers—its architecture was even more primitive than the Akame ga Kill world, a pure low-tech, cold-weapon era.

Most civilians wore rough cloth garments, looking like medieval peasants.

Among them were oddly dressed individuals:

Hooded mages with staffs, bow-wielding rogues in leather armor, and alchemists mixing potions at street stalls.

This was a typical fantasy world.

There were gods, dragons, monsters—while humanity had knights, adventurers, and mages.

As they explored the town, Setsuna and Mio were intrigued by the setting.

They bought a variety of potions and scrolls for research.

As for magic books—no need. They had Lucoa to write them slowly.

”Commander, the humans here are weak and repulsive. No need to interact with them.”

Tohru looked visibly disgusted. As a dragon, she looked down on humans by default—except for Setsuna and his companions.

”You really hate humans that much?”

Mio was a little surprised.

”Adventurers and paladins often raid our lairs in groups, trying to slay us.”

”Some for riches, others to skin us, steal our horns, or drain our blood.”

Tohru hid under her hood, trying to suppress her emotions.

The two sides simply saw the world from different angles.

To humans, dragons were harbingers of destruction—leveling cities and kingdoms.

To dragons, humans were weaklings daring to covet their power. Unforgivable.

”...”

Setsuna paused, then patted her on the shoulder.

”Don’t worry. I’ve got your back. Anyone messes with you—I’ll have a fleet wipe them off the map.”

”Eh?”

Tohru blinked.

”I don’t know anyone here. Who do you think I’m siding with?”

Setsuna grinned and pinched her cheek.

In a traditional isekai tale, the protagonist would be a humble youth who grows through adventure, gathers companions, and finally slays a dragon to marry a princess and rise to glory.

The perfect fairy tale.

Setsuna’s story was a little different.

Who still follows that tired script?

He wanted to marry the dragon.

Princess? What princess? Never met her.

Anyone dares to challenge his wife? Planet-cracker ready.

Teaming up with the Chaos Faction.jpg

”Come on, let’s go chat with the Emperor of Demise.”

”I have a feeling we’ll get along just fine.”
