Journey to Planar World

They were about fifteen minutes walking distance from Konoha’s main gate—a distance that could be covered by ninja in less than five minutes if running.

Wang Jian wasn’t in a hurry. He used that time to give a brief introduction about Konoha to Moeha and Tsubame, explaining the village structure, ninja system, and basic things they needed to know.

When they arrived in front of the large and sturdy entrance gate, three teenagers aged around twelve to thirteen years old—two boys and one girl—appeared to be standing waiting there.

”Oh, that’s Jian-senpai! Jian-senpai!”

A blonde-haired teenager with three lines resembling cat whiskers on each cheek waved his hand cheerfully.

He was none other than Uzumaki Naruto, the protagonist of this world.

”Jian-senpai is still handsome as usual... Ah, of course, to me Sasuke is more handsome.” Haruno Sakura muttered in a soft voice, immediately declaring her blind loyalty to her heart’s desire.

”Hmph!”

Uchiha Sasuke only snorted coldly, glancing at Wang Jian briefly before turning away. In his eyes, an ordinary Genin like Wang Jian wasn’t worthy of more attention.

Wang Jian stopped in front of Team 7. Since Naruto greeted him, it was impossible for him to ignore it. While smiling, he carefully observed the hiding locations of several Anbu assigned to monitor the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki. Under the perception of Rikugan (Six Eyes), nothing could hide from him.

”Yo, Naruto. What are you guys doing here?”

”Today, we’re undertaking a C-rank mission! Not only that, we’ll be departing for the Land of Waves! This is my first time leaving Konoha!” Naruto answered with burning enthusiasm.

After all, Team 7 were still new Genin fresh from the Academy. Usually, they only got D-rank missions like catching cats, cleaning gutters, babysitting, or other odd jobs—tasks that were very unsuitable for the image of true ninja. That’s why Naruto was so excited about this escort mission.

”I see... Let me guess, Kakashi is late again, right?” Wang Jian smiled thinly. The annoyed expressions on Sasuke and Sakura’s faces already answered everything.

”That’s right! Kakashi-sensei never comes on time!” Naruto grumbled while stamping his foot on the ground.

”By the way, Jian-senpai. Who are those two beautiful Onee-sans beside you? Their hair color is the same as Sakura’s. Are they still related to Sakura?”

After small talk, Naruto finally touched on the topic that made him very curious.

”Naruto! Just because the hair color is the same doesn’t mean they’re relatives! You’re so stupid!” Sakura immediately interrupted with an annoyed tone.

She clenched her fist about to hit Naruto’s head to vent her anger at Sasuke’s cold attitude toward her. However, Wang Jian quickly caught her wrist in the air.

”Haruno Sakura. Are you the type of woman who solves every problem—even the smallest—with violence? Besides, Naruto didn’t do anything wrong to deserve being hit. He just asked a question, why did you immediately try to hit him?” Wang Jian’s voice was calm yet firm.

”Ah, that, I...” Sakura stammered.

Moeha and Tsubame looked at Sakura with strange expressions. Naruto just scratched his head, used to treatment like this. Sasuke also frowned, seeming to dislike this commotion.

Being the center of attention in an embarrassing way, Sakura fell silent while lowering her head, but in her heart, her imaginary version was scolding Wang Jian who had ruined her image in front of Sasuke.

(I don’t understand why Naruto likes Sakura. What’s good about this girl? At almost every opportunity, Sakura hits him.) Wang Jian thought to himself.

”You’re wrong, Naruto. Those two have no relationship with the Haruno family. Both of them are... my wives that I obtained while carrying out a mission outside.” Jian explained casually.

”What?! T-Two wives?!!” Naruto exclaimed in shock, his eyes almost popping out.

The ninja world generally adhered to a monogamy system, though that rule didn’t apply to nobility or Daimyō who could have dozens of wives and concubines.

Honestly, Wang Jian found the attitude of ninjas who submitted to the rules of ordinary people very strange. They had chakra power, capable of using ninjutsu that could destroy landscapes, yet made a living by carrying out missions issued by weak ordinary people.

To Wang Jian, this was like seeing Devil Fruit users or Haki experts submitting to commoners—truly unimaginable in the logic of true power.

”Jian-senpai married two women... Is that allowed?” Naruto asked again, still in disbelief.

Not only Naruto was shocked, even Sasuke who was usually indifferent reacted similarly, his eyebrows slightly raised in surprise. For the young Uchiha, things like this were very far from his focus on power.

As for Sakura, she looked cynically, in her heart already labeling Wang Jian as a ”two-timing bastard” who didn’t know his place.

Even the Anbu assigned to monitor the Jinchuriki from their hiding places couldn’t escape the shock hearing that conversation. Moreover, Moeha and Tsubame were women with beauty that was hard to match—each with different charms, but equally captivating.

Some Anbu secretly wondered what Wang Jian’s secret was to make those two women willing to marry a mere Genin. There were even those who intended to secretly ”learn” later, studying his trick so that women could get along under one roof.

”Why not? There’s no written rule that a ninja can only marry one wife, right?” Wang Jian answered casually, his shoulders shrugging slightly.

”Eh, I guess that makes sense too.” Naruto muttered in agreement unconsciously, then spontaneously turned to Moeha and Tsubame. ”But, Onee-san... aren’t you bothered marrying the same man? Wouldn’t that make you jealous?”

Tsubame smiled gently, her eyes sparkling when looking at Wang Jian.

”Not at all. Jian-kun is a very kind and strong person. He protected us when we needed it most. Sharing love with him actually makes us feel more complete.”

Moeha grinned widely, her expression more mischievous. She kissed Wang Jian’s cheek with a loud smack, leaving a thin lipstick mark.

”That’s right! Besides, why should we be jealous? Even though we share, Jian-kun is very capable of giving us all the love and affection we need. He’s always fair! We’re far luckier to have him together than to have to see him go alone, right, Tsubame?”

”Mm.”

Tsubame nodded in agreement, her cheeks blushing softly.

”Ugh...”

Seeing the intimacy and loving scene before their eyes, Sasuke felt nauseous, his disgusted expression evident. For someone focused on revenge, romantic things and ’happiness’ like this were just distractions.

Sakura secretly stepped back, as if afraid the man in front of her would suddenly target her too. After all, Wang Jian seemed to have a tendency to like pink-haired women.

Naruto could only stare with his mouth slightly open, feelings of envy and admiration mixed together. In his mind, having one girlfriend was already difficult, let alone two who got along!

”Alright, I hope your mission goes smoothly.”

With a smooth motion, Wang Jian wiped the pale lipstick mark from Moeha’s kiss on his cheek.

”In that case, I’ll report to Kotetsu and Izumo. See you later.”

He waved at Team 7, then walked away from them toward the gate guard post, followed by his two loyal wives at his side.

Naruto remained silent for a moment, while Sasuke finally sighed softly—this world, it turned out, was full of strange people.

[Note: For the next few chapters will tell the story of Wang Jian’s life. At least, until the scene where he uses the Passport of Satan to copy forbidden ninjutsu in the Sealed Scroll.]
