Journey to Planar World

The Reward distribution session continued.

The next turn was Oscar’s. Like Kazuya, he desired immortality. However, his choice fell on the Hourai Elixir from the Tonikaku Kawaii series.

The Hourai Elixir was said to be able to grant immortality. The drinker would stop aging, would never get sick, and would never be able to die. Their body remained fragile and could be injured, but every wound—even the most critical—would heal completely within days. Total destruction would also end in total recovery.

This choice felt so fitting with the template character Oscar occupied: the First Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang (Ying Zheng), from the Shuumatsu no Valkyrie series.

It should be remembered that aside from the colossal achievements of the First Emperor who unified mainland China into a single dynasty, the most famous story about him was his never-fading obsession with immortality.

Now, Oscar also desired the same thing as his template character. Whether it was mere coincidence or indeed the compatibility level between Oscar and his template was very high, he got what the First Emperor wanted.

Gaia and Alaya of course didn’t refuse. In their eyes, any kind of immortality—whether it was Mermaid Flesh, Fountain of Youth, or Hourai Elixir—wasn’t too special. They easily granted the request.

Thus, among the nine Saviors, now three of them had been granted immortality. Kazuya had the most advanced and complex immortality. Oscar’s immortality was at an average level among various types of immortality. Meanwhile, Charlie had the lowest and weakest immortality of all.

Gaia also reminded the three of them, her voice flat but full of warning:

”Remember, being immortal doesn’t mean invincible. It only makes you hard to kill, like a cockroach that keeps rising. And be wary—anti-immortality weapons exist, though very rare. Their existence isn’t impossible.”

The next turn was Frank’s, a Savior with a scientific background and inclination. This was reflected in his template character: Ishigami Senku, the science genius from Dr. Stone.

Compared to other Saviors who exchanged their Rewards for supernatural or mystical items or abilities, Frank leaned toward the science and technology side.

He requested an android maid named Amagi from the Ore wa Seikan Kokka no Akutoku Ryōshu! Series.

When Frank submitted this request, Claire, Farah, and Elena stared at him with accusing looks, as if he were a great pervert. In the minds of the three women, they were certain the man wanted to use that female android as an outlet for base desires.

However, as a true pragmatist, Frank didn’t care at all. He didn’t bother explaining his true purpose in wanting Amagi, letting them hold onto their biased assumptions.

Since Amagi herself had no combat power—just a servant android designed for daily life—Gaia granted it without much talk.

”Amagi will appear at your side when you return to your world.”

Lastly, Elena’s turn. The Reward she chose also came from the Doraemon world, same as Wang Jian: the Anywhere Door.

She realized how slow her mobility was for exploring the world and crossing continents.

The Anywhere Door had a very wide range, reaching up to 10 light years. Far exceeding the need to move around Earth. Elena could travel anywhere as long as it was still within the solar system, eliminating all geographical obstacles.

Finally, the Reward distribution session ended. Gaia gave final words of encouragement, emphasizing that they must become stronger before the next Quest began.

Alaya, who seemed impatient to end this meeting, shooed them away with a brief wave of her hand.

One by one, the figures of the Saviors began to fade, returning them each to the worlds where they reincarnated.

”Jian-kun!” 2x

A familiar panicked voice reached Wang Jian’s ears as his consciousness fully returned. He opened his eyes, greeted by the sight of a dense forest and fresh air characteristic of the ninja world. However, before he could enjoy it, two figures immediately clung tightly to his left and right sides.

They were none other than Fujiwara Moeha and Koyasu Tsubame.

Wang Jian’s eyes focused on their enlarged bellies, an undeniable sign that they were carrying his child. Tsubame’s belly was the largest; her pregnancy had reached eight months. Meanwhile, Moeha was only five months pregnant, her belly just starting to protrude.

”Where is this, Jian-kun?” Tsubame asked, her tone filled with worry.

As a pregnant woman with traumatic experience surviving in an apocalyptic world, it wasn’t surprising if her emotions were slightly unstable and her worries easily peaked.

”Phew~ This must be Jian-kun’s original world, right? Thank goodness... you didn’t leave us after all.”

Before Wang Jian could answer, she had already pulled Wang Jian’s arm and buried it in the embrace of her soft chest filled with breast milk.

”Do you know how scared we were when we saw you suddenly disappear? Tsubame wasn’t calm at all while you were gone, you know~” She teased with a coaxing tone.

”Moeha!”

Feeling embarrassed and slightly angry because her little secret was exposed, Tsubame stared at her with annoyance.

”Hehehe...”

Moeha just stuck out her tongue, showing no regret whatsoever. Her childish nature didn’t reflect her appearance as a mother-to-be at all.

”Enough. Right now we’re outside Konoha Village. Before I was summoned to undergo the Quest to your world, I was on my way back after gathering medicinal herbs. That was a D-rank mission.”

His official status in Konoha was just a Genin. His mission choices were very limited: majority D-rank, and occasionally C-rank if lucky.

”Although I don’t know how high the Genin level is, D-rank missions must be low, right? After all, it’s the letter D! But Jian-kun is so strong, why is your rank so low?” Moeha asked innocently, her head tilted full of question marks.

She had witnessed firsthand Wang Jian’s power capable of annihilating terrifying monsters in their world.

”Jian-kun is deliberately hiding his strength?” Tsubame guessed more sharply.

Wang Jian nodded slowly. ”Yes. Tsubame is right. Indeed, Konoha is acknowledged as the strongest Hidden Village de facto, but... its internal political situation has rotted to its roots.”

”Anyone who shows talent and potential deemed capable of threatening the Hokage’s position, their fate won’t be good.”

He gazed far toward the high wooden fence of Konoha Village.

”In short, Konoha is very good at destroying their own talent. That’s why I chose to be low profile.”

His mind drifted to a series of unfortunate names: the Uchiha Clan with Fugaku, Shisui, Itachi, and all its members who were massacred. Orochimaru, the genius who was expelled. Hatake Sakumo who committed suicide due to pressure manipulated by Danzo behind the scenes with the Third Hokage’s approval. And many more.

Under Hiruzen regime who claimed himself as the Strongest Hokage in History, every brilliant individual who couldn’t be fully controlled became a threat. And to handle that threat, there was Danzo with his ROOT, ready to be the dirty hand doing the work Hiruzen didn’t want to acknowledge.

Wang Jian of course wasn’t afraid. With his Limitless Cursed Technique, the impenetrable Infinity made him immune to attacks from any ninja in this era.

But waging war against Konoha?

That would only trigger a civil war, drain energy, and give him no practical benefit whatsoever.

Better to wait.

Wait for Orochimaru to begin the Konoha Crush Plan, Hiruzen would be killed by his own student. Then, the Fifth Hokage’s government, which although not brilliant, at least wasn’t as bad as now, would begin.
