700 Chapter 700 2026-11-03

Looking at the largest piece of land in the upper left corner, Naoki pondered and thought to himself:

”Hmm, this grassland can be used to raise Wooloo...”

The flatland, along with the slopes around it, was wide open with no obstructions, allowing sunlight to reach every corner, enabling the grass to overgrow.

This is an ideal place to establish a Wooloo Ranch.

As for why not raise Mareep, which can also produce wool, it’s because Mareep loses its wool when it evolves into Ampharos.

”This piece of land here can be used to raise some other productive Pokemon.”

After a brief thought, several figures flashed through Naoki’s mind.

Pokémon like Tropius, which produces bananas, Sawsbuck, and Deerling, which can produce tea leaves...

Naoki always wanted to raise a Tropius, but unfortunately, he never encountered one.

The town’s ranch shops didn’t have this kind of Pokemon either because Tropius brings much less profit than other productive Pokemon.

Thinking of this, Naoki wrote down the names Tropius and Sawsbuck on the other two plots of land.

The tea made from the leaves on Sawsbuck’s head is quite delicious, perfect for the few Pokémon on the ranch who enjoy drinking tea.

Moreover, brewed tea can also be used to increase the bulk of Sinistea and Polteageist, making it a triple win item.

Naoki planned to leave the remaining one or two plots as they were for now and see if there were any suitable Pokémon; if not, he would build a children’s park there.

Equipped with seesaws, slides, sandboxes, and other toys, it would be a place for Pokémon to play.

As for the other side of the road, Naoki planned to develop it into agricultural land for growing some fruits.

For example, red apples.

After planning the new area, Naoki patted Dragonite on the back and said to it, ”Alright, let’s come down now!”

”Roar~” Dragonite obediently descended.

Naoki immediately found Dugtrio, called it over to the other side of the river, and pointed to this piece of land, saying, ”I’ll leave this place to you!”

”Chirp chirp chirp!”

Dugtrio glanced at it and then began working diligently.

After evolution, Dugtrio’s work efficiency had significantly improved, and its long experience in farming made it increasingly adept at plowing.

Thus, very soon, a complete, freshly plowed plot of land appeared in front of Naoki.

”Well done!” Naoki patted Dugtrio on the head, ”I’ll make you some new treats to eat later.” Perhaps Dugtrio’s favorite Pokeblock.

”Chirp chirp chirp!”

Hearing this, Dugtrio’s eyes immediately brightened.

It was very excited!

Returning to the living room, Naoki checked his small treasury.

After buying that pickup truck, he still had some savings left, just enough to purchase a batch of apple saplings to plant.

As for Tropius and Sawsbuck… later, he planned to explore around Casseroya Lake to see if he could encounter any wild ones, then bring them back to the ranch like he did with Gogoat.

”I’ll make a trip to town and will be back in about half an hour; you all play at home.”

Naoki waved at the group of Pokémon and then drove off in his little pickup truck.

Upon arriving at Porto Marinada Town, he parked the car by the roadside and pushed open the door to Elo Seed Store.

After learning the purpose of Naoki’s visit, Elo immediately led him to the backyard, laughing heartily:

”You’ve come at the right time, the store just got a fresh batch of apple saplings. How many do you want?”

Naoki glanced around and found there were about a hundred or so saplings here.

He roughly calculated the size of the plot that Dugtrio had prepared, and then said, ”Thirty, please!”

”Alright.” Elo then asked, ”Do you want me to deliver them later?”

Naoki shook his head, smiling, ”This time it’s no trouble; I’ll do it myself.”

Elo was slightly surprised, but upon seeing the pickup truck parked by the roadside, he understood what Naoki meant.

Elo exclaimed, ”You bought a car? When did you get it?”

Naoki: ”Just the other day, mainly because the ranch is getting bigger, it’s more convenient with a car. We can’t always rely on Koraidon and the others to transport goods.”

Elo chuckled, ”True, that makes sense. I’ll load them up for you!”

Loading up the saplings on the truck and returning to the ranch, Naoki, along with Koraidon and Cyclizar, spent the afternoon planting the apple saplings in the ground.

By the time the sun set, they had opened up a brand-new apple garden.

Naoki washed his hands in the river, wiped the sweat off his forehead, and said contentedly:

”Alright, it’s done! Now, let these apple trees slowly grow, and by next year, there will be a vast, red apple garden here!”

The only uncertainty left is whether the apple trees will attract bugs... Pokémon like Applin, which eats the apple’s flesh and hides inside, disguising itself as an apple.

For fruit growers, this kind of Pokémon is entirely harmful, detrimental to the apple’s growth.

”Oh well, I’ll worry about it later!”

Naoki didn’t really mind if the apple garden attracted such Pokémon, considering it as enriching the Pokémon ecology on the ranch.

He glanced at the muddy Koraidon and Cyclizar and then waved a big hand, saying to them, ”Let’s go home. I’ll give you a bath!”

Tonight’s dinner was entirely prepared by his sister Indeedee, while Naoki took Koraidon and Cyclizar to the bathroom, holding a showerhead to wash them.
