Not Being a Trainer This Time

Nemona’s eyes lit up instantly: ”Wow! How amazing! So, does that mean I can buy fresh milk and vegetables from Naoki Ranch right at home?”

Naoki found Nemona adorable and couldn’t help but reach out to tousle her hair, nodding with a smile: ”That’s right, when I see the message, I’ll ask Dragonite to deliver the items you ordered to wherever you are.”

The remaining trio of Alder, Lance, and Boss Clay were still limited by their era, unable to quite picture the scenario Naoki described.

And... having Dragonite deliver goods, what kind of crazy idea is this?!

Boss Clay couldn’t resist throwing a bewildered look at Naoki, wondering if the ranch really had that many Dragonite.

However, Alder on the side laughed and explained, ”Indeed, I’ve seen it with my own eyes; many Dragonite fly into town with little satchels around their necks, delivering milk and veggies from the ranch to the townsfolk!”

Nemona also nodded: ”Exactly!”

Boss Clay was shocked.

Lance was equally surprised.

His gaze swept over the Dragonite and the Pokemon named Koraidon, finally unable to resist his curiosity, he asked:

”Are you... part of the Dragon Master family as well?”

He vaguely remembered there seemed to be a Dragon Master family over in the Paldea Region too.

Naoki was puzzled for a moment before understanding what Lance meant.

He shook his head: ”No, I’m not familiar with any Dragon Master family; it was pure chance that brought me together with those Dragonite.”

Lance nodded and didn’t inquire further; he got it.

Alder was still amazed by the earlier topic.

He gave it a thought in his mind and then asked:

”If I bought milk over in the Unova Region, could Dragonite deliver it across regions too?”

This brought up a regional security issue, where Dragonite might come to help with deliveries but then be forcibly ’liberated’ and seized by Plasma Team as a Pokemon being exploited.

Naoki thought for a moment, choosing not to divulge this matter but instead tactfully replied:

”What I mentioned earlier was just an idea; I don’t know if it could be realized.”

”Got it!” Alder nodded with a grin: ”Though I don’t understand this area much, you can contact me anytime if you need help!”

”Oh, by the way, a Rotom Phone must need a Rotom like the Rotom washing machine, right? You can come find me then; I’ll take you to Chargestone Cave, where many Plasma State Rotom reside!”

”Then I’d really appreciate that,” Naoki said with a smile.

If planning to equip Giratina and the others with Rotom Phones, they indeed needed Rotom Pokemon.

Because a regular Rotom Phone is just a smart phone resembling Rotom in appearance, but doesn’t actually contain a Rotom.

Only when a wild Rotom enters does a Rotom Phone become a true Rotom Phone.

Rotom’s function acts akin to a smart AI like Xiao Ai or Xiao Du, translating and encoding Pokemon text to communicate the phone’s content to Giratina and the others.

Additionally, it can follow Pokemon usage intents for intelligent touch control, allowing them to surf the internet like humans.

Upon hearing this, Boss Clay became deeply interested in this young man before him.

He wanted to say more, but as the host of the banquet, many were waiting for him to attend to them.

Reluctantly, Boss Clay had to bid farewell to Alder and Naoki, turning to converse with other guests.

Alder originally intended to stay with Naoki, but many from the Unova League noticed his arrival and were amazed, leading to a large crowd coming to drink with him.

Seeing this, Alder had thought to decline, but recalling his previous irresponsible departure from the Pokemon League and leaving affairs to the Elite Four, he dismissed that notion immediately.

Now that he was back, it was time to resume his Champion’s duties.

Thus, Alder let Naoki remain here while he went to discuss Unova League’s current affairs with the crowd.

After a while, Nemona was also whisked away by her father.

Before leaving, Nemona longingly said that once she returned to the Paldea Region, she would go to Naoki Ranch to buy fresh milk and vegetables.

Naoki: ”...” Anyone could see that Nemona’s motivation lay elsewhere.

Lance didn’t leave, though; he looked at Koraidon and Pawmot and asked: ”Are they Pokemon from the Paldea Region?”

Naoki looked at his several Pokemon playing in the garden and nodded with a smile: ”Yes, they are.”

”There aren’t such Pokemon in the Kanto and Johto Regions,” Lance remarked honestly: ”Today is the first time I’ve seen them, and honestly, at first, I couldn’t determine their types.”

Naoki pointed to several Pokemon to introduce them: ”That pink one is called Pawmot, an Electric and Fighting Type Pokemon.”

”The one that resembles Misdreavus over there is named Flutter Mane, a Ghost and Fairy Type Pokemon.”

”Here, this one is Koraidon, a Dragon and Fighting Type Pokemon; they are exclusive to the Paldea Region and rarely seen in other regions.”
