Not Being a Trainer This Time

The relationship between Trainers and Pokemon is definitely not just about endless battles.

Beyond that, Trainers should focus more on maintaining the emotional bonds with their Pokemon partners.

The first thing Alder did upon returning to the Unova League was to host a conference through the television station for all Trainers in the Unova Region.

In the studio, Alder and Volcarona faced the camera and earnestly shared the story between him and Volcarona.

”...When I saw the Volcarona that had accompanied me for many years become so weak, I felt like my life was about to be destroyed,” Alder said.

”The relationship between Trainers and Pokemon is definitely not just about endless battles. From my own experience, I tell everyone that I hope every Trainer in the Unova Region will treat their Pokemon companions well.”

”If nothing unexpected happens, they will accompany you for a lifetime, existing alongside you longer than anyone else in the world except your parents.”

”Nothing remains strong forever, and the lives of Pokemon are not eternally unweakening, but the time and memories you live with them are everlasting happiness for us.”

Alder’s words were sincere and heartfelt.

Some Trainers watching the program were moved to tears uncontrollably.

These still young boys and girls, not yet twenty years old, turned to look at their Pokemon beside them.

Thanks to the Champion’s insight, they quickly realized the significance of the Pokemon they caught during their journeys.

They will accompany each other, sharing a lifetime together.

This relationship and these bonds, from a certain angle, even surpass those of partners.

The ship Naoki was on had not yet left the Unova Sea Region.

Through satellite equipment in space, the television on the ship successfully received the program signal from the Unova Region.

Looking at Alder and Volcarona on the screen, Naoki and the group of Pokemon beside him were somewhat moved by those heartfelt words.

But soon, Naoki thought of something more interesting.

The storyline in the Unova Region has changed.

Because of his intervention, Volcarona did not die, and Alder not only did not fall, but became more focused on maintaining the bonds between humans and Pokemon.

From his actions today, one can see that the future Alder will surely convey his insights and beliefs to every Trainer in the Unova Region.

”I wonder if, under these circumstances, Plasma Team’s [Pokemon Liberation Speech] could still have as much impact as it did in the game...”

Since Alder’s strength hasn’t declined, he might not lose to N in that belief-staking Champion battle.

It’s possible that either Reshiram the Dragon of True or Zekrom the Dragon of Ideals might even choose Alder.

It’s truly exciting to anticipate how the future of the Unova Region will unfold!

Accumula Town, in front of a convenience store by the street.

A man with fair skin, long green hair, and a black baseball cap stood in front of the store’s glass window.

His gaze passed through the glass, watching the television screen on the shop’s wall showing the program.

After a moment, the man lowered his head slightly, and the shadow cast by the brim of his hat obscured his face, making it hard to see clearly, before he turned and left.
