Not Being a Trainer This Time

Upon hearing these words, Lance immediately judged that the stamina of the opposing Dragonite was already nearing its limit.

The chase just now had consumed a lot of its endurance, and now it couldn’t respond as quickly as before!

Thus, Lance waved his hand and issued the final command: ”Dragonite, give it the final strike, use Hyper Beam once more!”

Hooked!

The terrifying white energy swiftly condensed in Dragonite’s mouth.

Seeing this scene, Naoki immediately shouted, ”Now’s the time!”

Dragonite understood instantly.

Its eyes gleamed with excitement, the usually gentle gaze suddenly became resolute, as it locked onto the white beam coming straight at it.

At the moment it was about to be hit, Dragonite suddenly soared high, flying into the sky.

Witnessing this, Lance’s heart tightened, his face showing shock: ”How is this possible?!”

How does it have the strength to evade?!

Yet in the next second, the scene he feared the most occurred.

Suddenly, it started raining heavily in the sky.

Some trainers still didn’t know what was happening, because Dragonite’s Rain Dance had reached a level of mastery, barely needing to lift a hand, just a thought, and it could make the sky rain.

But those with sharp insight realized what was happening.

Professor Oak stared at the Dragonite in surprise, murmuring, ”I really didn’t expect its mastery of Rain Dance to be so high.”

”Boom!”

Thunderclouds surged in the sky, and terrifying lightning brewed madly within.

Too late — Lance’s mood instantly sank to the bottom.

Naoki’s gaze focused on the opposing Dragonite, a smile finally appeared on his face.

Checkmate.

A deafening clap of thunder exploded, and a thick bolt of lightning fell straight down, the dazzling Spark instantly engulfing the Dragonite below.

Strong electric currents seeped through the gaps in Dragonite’s scales, spreading a strong sense of paralysis through its entire body.

Dragonite then lost consciousness, its massive body collapsing heavily, unable to rise again.

At this moment, all the spectators rose in amazement, speechless from shock.

The rain stopped, and the thunderclouds dispersed.

Giovanni, with his suit soaked from the rain, withdrew his gaze and turned to walk toward the interior of the mansion.

On the second floor of the mansion, Caitlin, who had been sitting to watch the showdown, also stood up in shock, murmuring in disbelief:

”He really won...”

Beside her, Shauntal adjusted her glasses, her eyes revealing a glimmer: ”Brilliant! He used the strategy of increasing Thunder’s accuracy on rainy days?”

Did he not use it from the start because he was worried Lance’s Dragonite would also use Thunder?

”That Dragonite’s mastery of Rain Dance must have reached a level of mastery beyond imagination. I didn’t expect there to be trainers who would have their Pokemon specifically practice this move.” Cynthia murmured.

Caitlin nodded in agreement: ”Not only that, but Dragonite’s stamina is also extraordinary, these strengths just happen to make up for its lack of practical experience, truly astonishing.”

”Dragonite is unable to battle, the match is won by Mr. Naoki!”

On the field, Nemona excitedly announced the result of the match.

Truly a Champion Level Pokemon match, she learned quite a bit from it!

She thought about applying these lessons to her own Pokemon later! Nemona thought.

Dragonite happily ran back, with an expression begging for praise.

Naoki smiled and patted its head, then took a bottle of goat’s milk from his backpack to feed it: ”Well done, now take a good rest!”

”Roar~”

Dragonite tilted its head back and gulped down the goat’s milk, then licked the milk residue off its mouth with its tongue, acting like a good baby as Naoki returned it to its Poke Ball.

On the other side, Lance also returned his Dragonite.

He gazed at Naoki with admiration in his eyes.

”I lost... it’s incredible! I don’t feel sad now...” Lance pondered, a slight smile appeared on his handsome face: ”Maybe fighting with an excellent trainer makes me happier than the frustration of losing!”

”Same here!” Naoki felt Lance was quite easygoing and friendly.

He smiled, leading Koraidon and the others forward, taking out several bottles of goat’s milk and handed them to Lance:

”Feed your Pokemon with these, they help heal injuries and restore health.”
