The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1232: Chapter 1232: Utmost Flattery

Shaun’s heart shook violently.

The entire 6th battalion, are they all our people?

Is... is it as he thinks?

Ji You looked at Shaun, a slight smile on her lips, and said, ”If used well, they are all our soldiers. If used moderately, then they are all our teammates. In short, they absolutely cannot be our enemies.”

With 1000 people to a camp, although everyone is a natural ally, there is also a competitive relationship between each other. There are only a few spots for promotion; if it’s not you, then it’s me, it’s him...

As for whether they become competitors or our support, it depends on how you use them.

Shaun, hearing this, was thoughtful.

Ji You glanced at Shaun’s expression, then turned to all the teammates behind Shaun, her smile carrying a confident certainty, she opened her mouth, and her tone was naturally assured as she spoke: ”Don’t you all want to be promoted?”

Shaun’s teammates behind him were silent.

Because this question didn’t need to be answered at all.

Who enters the competition field to just experience life?

Certainly not.

They want to win.

They need to win.

That’s the thought in everyone’s mind, and the ultimate goal.

Ji You clenched her hand and said, ”We must win.”

Shaun, and all the teammates behind him, focused intently on her; at this moment, she seemed to be enveloped in a layer of light, making everyone involuntarily want to focus on her.

Ji You said, ”Shaun, the system has assigned us as captains, the smallest officers in a camp, but does that mean we are inferior to others? Are we really inferior to the Commander? When fighting in teams, is it just about personal bravery?

Managing troops is about strategic planning!

Managing troops is like playing chess—you must always be confident and make the best choice with every move, after careful consideration.”

...

battalions, the Commanders selected by the system—is he a born Commander?

I’ll say an old line: ’Kings and dukes, are not they born from us?’

Is he absolutely more suited to manage troops than you?

Not necessarily.”

When Ji You finished speaking, she watched Shaun as the light in his eyes gradually brightened, and she knew she was successful!

Shaun has the heart of wanting to be the main commander.

Then—

Keep encouraging him!

Shaun thought this in his heart, but he was stubborn and of course, unwilling to admit openly in front of so many people that he had ambitious thoughts, so he suddenly turned serious and said, ”Don’t talk nonsense like that, it gives a bad impression.”

Ji You smiled and said, ”What bad impression are you worried about, is it affecting our camp’s internal unity?”

Shaun said nothing.

Ji You watched Shaun’s face, which showed a desire to admit but also embarrassment to admit, and laughed: ”If I had your kind of ability, the Commander’s position would surely be mine, but we need not get hung up on this issue, because at this stage, all we need to do is unite everyone around us who can be united.”

Shaun was thoughtful.

Ji You said, ”Do you know whom I refer to as everyone who can be united?”

Shaun thought for a moment and said, ”Nearby squads?”

Ji You shook her head and said, ”It’s not just the teams in front of us, but also those farther away, even our enemies...”

Shaun was startled, as were his teammates behind him, someone said, ”Enemies? How can enemies possibly unite with us?”

Ji You laughed lightly and said, ”Why not? As long as the method is used properly, maybe the enemy will agree to cooperate?”

Ji You thought to herself that the scene in front of her was a living example of enemy and ally coming together, but she figured if she named it directly, Shaun and his teammates might explode, so she refrained from mentioning them.

Keep it hidden.

Continue keeping it hidden.

Shaun said, ”You just mentioned going out, how do we proceed?” He did consider sending teammates out but feared sudden unexpected situations at the base, so temporarily shelved that plan.

Ji You said, ”According to my idea, our nearby 10 squads should all communicate with each other, forming a defensive alliance, so if there’s an enemy attack, nearby squads can immediately dispatch personnel to come together and defend.”

Shaun said, ”That’s a very good plan.”

”The current issue is that the bases of the nearby 10 squads are relatively far apart, communication is very inconvenient. If there’s really an enemy sneak attack, then another team’s people might not get here in time, and this side could be defeated one by one.” Ji You stroked her chin, her tone a bit hesitant, and said, ”But I’m not sure if other teams on the battlefield have more advanced weapons, like drones, bombs, energy weapons, or wireless communication equipment...”

Shaun frowned: ”Shouldn’t be possible.”

Ji You said, ”The best premise is that nobody has them. Then everyone is on the same starting line. In this way, our conditions are the best.”

Shaun didn’t understand, nor did his teammates behind him.

Ji You laughed and said, ”Because we have more people.”

Shaun: ”...”

Ji You smiled and said, ”Having more people is our advantage. We have 4 more teammates than anyone else, even if we encounter sudden situations, we can use the advantage of numbers together.

Additionally, our base is safer and more solid than others’, which is also a major advantage for us.” As Ji You spoke, she then posed a question to Shaun: ”Captain, how were you planning to handle the upcoming competition before I asked you to join?”

Shaun was silent for a moment.

For the subsequent competition, he had thought of many possibilities, but in fact, he didn’t have particularly good strategies in mind, and then he thought of a very crude method—lying in wait.

That’s right, wait for the enemy to come.

Of course, he couldn’t tell Ji You this directly, or it would be too embarrassing. So, Shaun kept a straight face and said, ”The competition hasn’t started yet, and the rules haven’t been figured out—I naturally won’t be rashly trying to earn merit, so while building my base I’ll explore the true rules.”

Ji You, hearing this, immediately showed an appreciative look and said, ”Captain, you are absolutely right! In fact, the way I am pushing forward is very unwise. Reality has proven you right.”

Shaun felt comfortable upon hearing it, simultaneously feeling Ji You is a person with great insight, said, ”Your approach has its merits, but the risk is too great and not my style—I favor steady progress.”

Ji You wholeheartedly agreed, said, ”I now also agree more with the steady progress method.”

After saying this, she paused slightly, then continued, ”Captain, now that I’m here, you have more manpower, it’s appropriate to venture out a bit, because if we keep staying put, once we encounter a massive enemy attack, we can’t resist, we must negotiate defense alliances with the nearby squads.”

Shaun said: ”Okay, you go.”
