The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1231: Chapter 1231: Stepping Out

Shaun is a person of action; once he makes a decision, he doesn’t procrastinate. He directly ordered, ”Jiang Sen, you go.”

With these words, a blonde, blue-eyed guy walked out from Shaun’s team. Ji You was slightly surprised upon seeing him; he was called by an Ancient China name, yet he had an Ancient Western lineage?

This guy named Jiang Sen is quite interesting.

Jiang Sen was tall, with fair skin and deep-set eyes. Sensing Ji You’s discreet glance, he smiled at Ji You and said, ”Hey, Ji You, do you think my face is handsome, or is my name more handsome?”

Ji You: ”...”

Oh——

Narcissist!

Ji You said indifferently, ”Sorry, neither is handsome because I’m more handsome.”

Upon hearing Ji You’s words, Jiang Sen’s thick eyelashes fluttered, beneath which were sparkling eyes. He seemed to be deliberately flirting with Ji You, who raised an eyebrow and said, ”Do you disagree?”

Jiang Sen laughed, ”Oh, Ji You, in my eyes, you’re a beautiful adjective. You can’t use ’handsome’ to describe yourself, you know? You’re lovely, you’re beautiful... but you’re not handsome!”

”Oh?” Ji You squinted and beckoned with her finger, ”Let’s arm wrestle.”

Jiang Sen: ”???”

Ji You arched her body, exuding a powerful aura, ”I’ll give you three moves.”

Jiang Sen: ”...”

Jiang Sen looked towards Shaun, Shaun said, ”Ji You, you should spend more time resting.”

Ji You withdrew her fist and turned to He Yu, ”Ru Mei, you go with him to scout the enemy camp.”

He Yu replied, ”Yes.”

Jiang Sen was somewhat reluctant to go with a girl and said, ”Can we switch to a different girl?”

He Yu’s face sank and said, ”Are you discriminating against women?”

Jiang Sen shook his head and said, ”No, but I don’t like performing tasks with girls.”

He Yu said, ”Oh, yes you are.”

After saying this, He Yu turned to Ji You and asked, ”Class leader, can I smash his head?”

Ji You said, ”Smash it, smash his head to pieces.”

He Yu laughed, ”Okay.”

Jiang Sen thought the two girls were joking, so he scratched his head and also laughed, saying, ”Okay, I admit my mistake. I shouldn’t judge by gender; often, girls’ combat power is stronger than us guys.”

What era is this, there’s still gender discrimination.

Ji You ignored Jiang Sen and spoke to Shaun, ”Shaun, my teammate Wang Rumei may be a girl, but her running speed is definitely on par with Jiang Sen. With her leading Jiang Sen to the enemy camp, let’s give them 20 minutes to complete the task no matter if they collect valuable intelligence or not, they must return immediately.” With these few words, she explained He Yu’s capability.

Shaun said, ”Okay.”

In fact, he felt that staying in the enemy camp for too long was easy to expose them, so the faster the better. Thus, he didn’t object to this time limit.

Shaun thought and added, ”My teammate Jiang Sen has the fastest speed in the team, known as the walking Thunder Leopard Beast. Trust that his speed will definitely not hold everyone back.”

This was to explain dissatisfaction towards the two girls for underestimating Jiang Sen’s capability.

Ji You heard and nodded with a smile, then said, ”Ru Mei, set off.”

He Yu had already swiftly adjusted her attire, and upon hearing this, she took the lead and quickly ran towards the border river.

Whoosh——

A gust of wind rushed out, and in the next second, she had appeared a hundred meters away.

Jiang Sen saw this, raised his eyebrows slightly, then began to run.

Whoosh——

A swift breeze passed in front of Ji You, and in the blink of an eye, this tall, blonde, blue-eyed guy also disappeared from Ji You’s view. In no time, he caught up with He Yu.

In the next second, as he surpassed He Yu, he turned back proudly, showing Ji You a smug smile.

Shaun laughed, ”Jiang Sen’s speed is just a little faster.”

Ji You squinted, smiling, ”Having fast speed is good, running quickly in danger is a top-notch skill.”

Then.

Ji You’s face suddenly turned serious, her tone extremely earnest, ”Shaun, since I’ve pledged myself to you, now you are my class leader! I, along with the three teammates I’ve brought, are now your soldiers.”

Saying this, Ji You suddenly bent her knees slightly, her expression solemn, ”At your command, class leader.”

Shaun felt a flash of emotion on his face upon hearing this.

Indeed.

As a conservative, Shaun also had ambitions. They all came here for the competition, to obtain a spot to advance. As class leader, would naturally get more benefits conducive to gaining points in the competition, which Shaun cared about. Not only did he want to be a class leader once, but also to upgrade, to company commander, battalion commander...

Ji You pledging herself, out of appreciation for her character, Shaun took her in, but if Ji You came to challenge him for the class leader position, or was consistently assertive and domineering, Shaun would certainly feel pressured and uncomfortable.

Now, Ji You proactively expressed willingness to bow before him, which naturally made Shaun happy.

Ji You, such a fierce general, was a fortune to have.

And her bowing before him also shows she approves of his capability more.

Shaun said, ”Everyone’s a leader, no need to differentiate who’s higher.”

Ji You firmly said, ”When two tigers fight, one must get hurt. You are the tiger, while I am just a cat. Because although I seem all-knowing, coming back in defeat shows I’m actually not suited for commanding troops. Shaun, in my eyes, you have a general’s talent, while I have lots of strategies, along with passion. You be the commander, and I’ll be the strategist, let’s join forces and stir this stagnant competition!”

”How about it?” Ji You asked.

Shaun’s eyes flickered.

Ji You said, ”The competition has been too calm so far. Let’s be the ones to swing the bat and officially launch this event!”

Shaun: ”Good!”

Sean’s face suddenly flushed red, he gripped his hand, ”Good!”

Of course, privately, Shaun actually didn’t want to take in Ji You and her team because with the team increasing in numbers, the future outcome is unpredictable, and what if he ends up accepting not only teammates but also their problems?

Shaun definitely didn’t want to burden his team. But now, hearing Ji You’s words, Shaun felt a sudden excitement, thinking his desire to make a mark in the competition was suddenly understood, recognized, and got a strong helper.

Is it worth it?

Sure is!

In the next moment, Ji You said, ”Class leader, now I want to offer my first suggestion; we should continue to send more people out.”

Shaun frowned, ”Sending them out isn’t impossible, but—” There’ll be no one left to guard the base.

Ji You said, ”This time, we’re not sending them to the enemy camp, but to our own base.”

Shaun: ”???”

Ji You said, ”All personnel from six camps, are all ours.”

Shaun: ”!!!”
