Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

The internet was currently flooded with news about Anna Nash, dragging the Blackwood Family into the mess.

The live stream was still on, which meant the entire world now knew that Anna Nash was pregnant with his child.

Silas Blackwood exploded with rage. ”Anna Nash, turn off that damn live stream right now!”

Anna Nash feigned surprise. ”What? Is it still live? I... I had no idea...”

”Are you guys secretly streaming this? This is too much! Silas, let me explain, I really didn’t know! Turn it off, hurry up and turn it off!”

Anna played the victim, looking like a damsel in distress. Unfortunately for her, Silas Blackwood wasn’t buying her act anymore.

’How did I only just now see how fake she is?’ he thought. ’How did her terrible acting ever fool me in the past?’

Before, when Anna acted like this, he had found her pitiful and fragile, a vulnerability that tugged at his heartstrings. Now, he just found her disgusting, every action reeking of calculation.

Anna Nash said, ”Silas, I know about your engagement to Ivy Sherwood. Don’t worry, even though I’m pregnant, I won’t cling to you. I won’t destroy your family. I’ll raise this child on my own. Silas, you don’t have to come find me. I only called you because I felt that as the child’s father, you had the right to know of its existence.”

After saying her piece, Anna Nash hung up the phone, but the live stream kept rolling.

On screen, Anna sat on the hospital bed, hugging her legs and crying silently to herself. It was indeed a pitiful sight.

But Silas Blackwood only found her detestable. ’Does Father know about this?’ he wondered. ’If Father finds out, I’m a dead man.’

Soon, the live stream was shut down. Anna Nash, it could be said, had garnered all the attention she wanted.

Now, her pregnancy was public knowledge. And she had put on an act of someone who had no idea she was being live-streamed, making it seem like the news was accidentally leaked.

She hadn’t even asked Silas Blackwood to take responsibility, instead pushing the narrative of a victim who just wanted to raise her child alone.

If anything were to happen to her or the child now, netizens would surely concoct conspiracy theories, claiming the Blackwood Family was behind it.

For the first time, Silas Blackwood felt so utterly stifled. ’That bitch Anna Nash!’

...

On the other side, watching the live stream end, Nina Scott was still wanting more.

”How is it over already? That Anna’s a true master of the green-tea act. She’s even more conniving than Thea Sherwood. What’s the Blackwood Family going to do now? Surely Silas Blackwood can see what kind of person Anna Nash is by now, right?”

Ivy Sherwood shook her head. She didn’t know what Silas Blackwood would think, but it didn’t matter anymore.

”Hey, how come the netizens are suddenly so rational this time? How did they all start siding with you and bashing Anna Nash?”

”Those are the paid commenters I hired,” Ivy said. ”Of course they’re taking my side.”

”What? You actually know how to hire paid commenters? Nice one, Ivy! You’ve really got the hang of this whole entertainment industry playbook.”

”If Anna Nash can do it, why can’t I?” Ivy said. ”My plan was always to blow this thing up. The bigger, the better.”

”So you planned all of this in advance? Ivy, I’m liking you more and more!”

Nina Scott felt great, absolutely fantastic. Seeing Ivy get bullied so much before, she had felt it was so unfair.

Now, Ivy was fighting back, and it was a stunning turn of events. Ivy Sherwood always seemed like an innocent little bunny, but it turned out she was secretly cunning underneath. ’She really is a perfect match for Quentin Blackwood,’ Nina thought. ’If those two ever got together, would anyone else even stand a chance?’

”It wasn’t exactly planned in advance,” Ivy said. ”If Anna Nash hadn’t done this, my paid commenters would have had nothing to do.”

Speaking of which, she had Julian Grant to thank. He was the one who had provided all the paid commenters.

When Ivy Sherwood asked him for help, he had agreed without a moment’s hesitation.

”So what now? What’s your plan?” Nina asked.

”Break the engagement,” Ivy said.

This time, she refused to believe that Caleb Blackwood could have any excuse not to call it off!

”Let’s go! Let’s go break it off right now!” Nina Scott was fully supportive of Ivy Sherwood.

Nina even grabbed her car keys and was ready to drag Ivy out the door.

”Wait, we have to wait a little.”

Nina couldn’t wait a single second longer. ”What are we waiting for?”

”Let me put on my makeup first. If I go like this, the Blackwood Family won’t even recognize me. They might kick me out before I even get through the door.”

Nina slapped her forehead. Right. Ivy Sherwood wasn’t wearing any makeup; she still had her original face on.

Ivy had been using makeup since she was young, and her skills were impeccable. It only took her a few minutes to get ready.

Ivy Sherwood arrived at the old Blackwood family mansion. Only Sylvia Blackwood was home; Mrs. Blackwood was out getting beauty treatments with other wealthy socialites.

Seeing Ivy, Sylvia Blackwood felt like she was a jinx. ”What are you doing here again with that dead-inside face? Haven’t you caused my family enough trouble?”

Ivy Sherwood smiled, looking to be in a very good mood.

”I’m here to congratulate you, of course.”

”Congratulate me? Are you crazy?” Sylvia Blackwood was annoyed just looking at Ivy.

’This woman has been trying everything to get into our Blackwood Family, stopping at nothing. She’s constantly cornering my brother and poor Anna.’

Sylvia Blackwood, of course, preferred Anna Nash. Anna was a master at pleasing people. She had asked Sylvia out before and showered her with compliments, manipulating her perfectly.

”You’re about to become an aunt. Of course I have to congratulate you.”

”What nonsense are you spouting? You’re the one who’s about to become an aunt!” Sylvia Blackwood thought Ivy was being ridiculous.

’What’s an aunt? It’s the child of your brother, right? And I don’t have a younger brother.’

Suddenly, Sylvia Blackwood’s eyes widened. ’Could it be... my brother...?’

”Does no one in your family go online? The whole world probably knows by now, and you’re the only one left in the dark?”

”What?” Sylvia Blackwood quickly grabbed her phone and finally saw the storm brewing online.

Anna Nash was pregnant?

With her brother’s child!

”Ivy Sherwood, you did this, didn’t you?” Sylvia Blackwood glared at Ivy, feeling that she had to be involved in this somehow.

”What did I do? Did I force the two of them into bed? Or did I shove the baby into Anna Nash’s stomach?”

”You!” Sylvia Blackwood was speechless.

”Your brother couldn’t control his own dick. He deserves this!”

”Ivy Sherwood! Don’t go too far! I won’t let you talk about my brother like that! Watch it, or I’ll sue you!” Sylvia Blackwood looked like she wanted to pounce on Ivy and take a bite out of her.

”If you don’t want people to curse him out, then he should have behaved himself. What I’m saying is nothing compared to what’s online. Why don’t you go take a look for yourself? The things people are saying are far worse. What are you going to do, Miss Blackwood, send a lawyer’s letter to every single one of them?”

Sylvia Blackwood was so angry she was left sputtering, unable to speak.

However, Ivy Sherwood had already stood up. ”Since Uncle Blackwood isn’t here, I’ll be going. He’s the only one in the Blackwood Family who can make decisions. Some things can only be discussed with him.”

’What does Ivy Sherwood mean by that? Is she saying that my brother and I have no power to make decisions?’

’Who does she think she’s looking down on? What gives Ivy Sherwood the right to be so arrogant!’
