Reborn As Super Heiress

Yue Shuwen couldn’t help frowning: ”But how can you casually alter city planning? Even if Jiang Weide and his father-in-law fall from power, this city planning has already been submitted. Once it’s approved, it will be announced. We can’t easily make the Fucheng City Government change the original plan, and you can’t use Young Master Gu’s connections for this, right?”

Huo Sining laughed, ”I certainly can’t get someone to change the city planning, but I have a way to make the Fucheng City Government voluntarily abandon this proposal.”

”Voluntarily abandon? How would they voluntarily abandon it? Constructing a subway goes through a lot of expert opinions before reaching the most suitable route, in terms of resources and finances. Making the city government change it is quite unlikely, right?”

Yue Shuwen immediately looked at Huo Sining with doubt, not understanding what scheme she was plotting.

Huo Sining pointed at the ground beneath her feet and smiled, ”Under normal circumstances, it’s impossible. But what if there’s something underground worthy of making them change the route? Like the biggest Han Princess Tomb, something that could bring fame to Fucheng and drive the archaeological world crazy?”

Yue Shuwen gaped in shock, her heartbeat suddenly speeding up, looking at Huo Sining in disbelief: ”Are you saying...”

She now understood a bit; Huo Sining’s purpose in exploring this area after getting off the car was clear. If this really was a Han Princess Tomb, then everything Jiang Weide had done would be in vain.

Once a Han Princess Tomb is uncovered, even if the Fucheng City Government doesn’t act, the Cultural Relics Bureau would definitely take action. At that time, all the residents of Anmin Alley and Sanfang Street would have to relocate. Jiang Weide’s fantasy of seizing land near the subway exit and building a few housing developments for massive profits would be utterly aborted.

You must know, with a large ancient tomb present, the Cultural Relics Bureau will definitely argue that real estate developers cannot construct commercial housing here, nor can a subway run through it. So, this area will inevitably be used as an exhibition hall for the Princess Tomb, and the city government will certainly alter the subway route to avoid it.

In this way, no matter how much land and property Jiang Weide holds, he might only get some relocation compensation.

If the area was used for commercial housing, the relocation compensation might be higher, but as a Cultural Relics Bureau exhibition ground, getting more compensation is absolutely impossible.

Although it’s in the city, without a subway exit as a selling point, property prices can’t be stimulated to rise. Huo Sining can foresee that when news of the Princess Tomb spreads, Jiang Weide’s land and properties will become burdensome and hinder his development. By then, Jiang Weide might just go mad from frustration himself.

Huo Sining was quite curious to see Jiang Weide’s expression once he found out the news. But before that, she wouldn’t be satisfied with just scratching the surface. She’d at least let that Jiang person taste a bit of humiliation.

After probing around the Princess Tomb, Huo Sining didn’t linger around Sanfang Street and instead returned to the hotel.

Over there, Wu Jun had already gathered all the information Huo Sining wanted, even including the monthly expenses and earnings since Jiang Weide took over that cold storage two years ago, as well as the blueprints of the cold storage. Getting such detailed information in such a short time was not easy. Huo Sining carefully reviewed the materials and in the afternoon, she and the other two headed to the wharf to verify the cold storage’s location and management on-site.

Neither Yue Shuwen nor Wu Jun knew what Huo Sining was planning, and Huo Sining didn’t explicitly say. After a good dinner, she even accompanied Yue Shuwen to wander through Fucheng’s night market before returning to the hotel.

Seeing nothing unusual with Huo Sining, Yue Shuwen and Wu Jun, although puzzled, went to their rooms and peacefully slept.

No one noticed that at the end of the corridor, a room quietly opened again after ten o’clock, and a figure floated out, with the door closing silently.

Huo Sining sneaked out of the hotel, used her Invisibility Skill to quietly board the final night bus, and rode all the way to the end stop, which was Fucheng Fish Market Wharf.

Upon arrival, she snuck off the bus quietly while the driver wasn’t looking and made her way to Jiang Weide’s cold storage based on her memory from the day.

Wasn’t Jiang Weide scrimping on electricity bills? She was going to make him never dare to be stingy with electricity again; no, she was going to make the mere mention of ”electricity bills” terrify him!

A smirk crept onto Huo Sining’s lips, and at the thought of what was hidden in her storage ring, a mischievous glint appeared in her eyes.

At night, the entire wharf was shrouded in darkness. It was close to midnight, and the cold storage was pitch black without a soul in sight, with only the faint hum of freezing machines inside the cold storage audible.

With Wu Jun’s blueprint of the cold storage structure, Huo Sining discovered an issue during the day. The structure was built years ago, so the cold storage’s electrical box wasn’t located indoors, but outside in a separate electrical room. Due to the high power consumption of the cold storage, high voltage electricity was nearby, and people rarely passed by without reason.

Huo Sining’s target was this cold storage’s electrical room. She carefully approached the electrical room and released the Blue Fatty, whom she had kept locked in a static time space.

The fatty seemed to realize that Huo Sining had confined him in a space where time was still, so when released, it discontentedly charged its round shell at Huo Sining.

Caught off guard, Huo Sining was knocked to the ground by the little rascal, but knowing she was at fault, she didn’t blame it. Instead, she coaxed the Blue Fatty like a mischievous aunt:

”Alright, didn’t I bring you here for a treat? See that power cable? I’ll cut the insulation for you, and you can suck as much as you like. It’s someone else’s electricity, no cost to us!”

Huo Sining pointed at the thickest main cable connecting the electrical box to the cold storage, speaking unabashedly.
