Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1890: Chapter 1793: Giving Away Money

Not just Windsor Caesar, even those people like Li Jun could see that Huo Sining wasn’t using her full strength, and was even letting Semiya win. Otherwise, given Huo Sining’s skill, Semiya would have lost everything by now.

Huo Sining didn’t want to push too hard. After all, she had already gained a lot today. This girl was, after all, the sister of the black market boss. If she pushed too hard, the boss might get embarrassed and angry tomorrow and not let her into the Black Market Building.

So after thinking about it, she couldn’t help but say, ”Miss Semiya, why don’t we just call it a day?”

Semiya got angry at Huo Sining’s words: ”What do you mean call it a day? We agreed it would end only when you won this billion from me. It’s not over yet, continue!”

Semiya’s face no longer had its previous vigor. Her eyes were bloodshot, glaring intensely at the dice cup in Windsor Caesar’s hand, like a gambler desperate with rage.

Huo Sining’s mouth twitched, and she had to sit back down.

However, looking at Semiya’s state, she decided after some thought not to hold back anymore, but to end it quickly.

In the next round, unsurprisingly, Huo Sining won again.

As Semiya was about to sign another ten-million-dollar bank draft, Huo Sining couldn’t help but smile and reminded her:

”Semiya, you probably forgot, let me remind you, your bank draft is for a billion. Before exchanging for ten million chips, you already lost three hundred thousand to me. So, your bank draft only covers nine ten-million chips. Your bank account now only has seven million left, meaning this last check doesn’t cover a ten-million chip, it’s a bad check. If this were a casino in Las Vegas, you’d be kicked out for this.”

Semiya widened her eyes at Huo Sining’s reminder.

She felt that she had won quite a few times before. How could it be that she had lost so much of her billion chips so quickly, leaving only seven million!

Semiya instinctively looked over at Huo Sining and saw a neat pile of her signed checks in front of that Eastern woman. There were ones for a million and ones for ten million, but what that woman had actually pulled from her bosom was only the single million and ten million checks from before.

The Huo Sining seated opposite her appeared calm, but in Semiya’s eyes, it was a glaring contrast. It was as if even the gleam in Huo Sining’s eyes seemed to mock her.

What’s going on, why did I lose so much money?

Semiya couldn’t help but frown and think back carefully on what had happened, but her mind was a blur. She only remembered her wins, but unconsciously filtered out the rounds she lost.

Semiya didn’t understand what was going on, but Huo Sining knew very well.

This is the huge negative impact of gambling, something often observed in casinos.

Many casino bankers set traps using this psychological influence on gamblers.

Once a gambler loses money in a casino, they often have a mentality of thinking they can make it back in the next round, especially when the banker sets traps. They won’t let the gambler keep losing; there will be wins and losses, but losing more than winning without it being obvious.

This leads gamblers to a point where they don’t sense how much they’ve actually lost, while at the same time giving them a mentality filled with hope and dissatisfaction, further deepening their entrapment.

Although Huo Sining rarely frequents casinos, she relies on her Special Ability for gambling, which makes her like an outsider. Therefore, she doesn’t get trapped, and actually becomes more clearheaded the more she gambles.

But Semiya is different. Although she learned many advanced skills from her brother, he strictly forbids her from gambling often. This results in high grades but low ability. Even though this girl has gambling techniques, she lacks real casino experience. When she starts losing, her arrogant nature makes her easily irritable and confused, and once entrenched, she can’t get out. She even gets so desperate that she totally ignores the consequences.

As they say, ”The onlooker sees clearly, the participant is lost.” Besides Huo Sining who was silently calculating, everyone else, including Windsor Caesar, the bar owner, and even the non-gambling expert Zhong Xiaoyao, could see this clearly.

During the gambling contest between the two, it seemed like there were wins and losses, but in reality, they noticed Huo Sining would usually only guess wrong after several consecutive wins or when Semiya also bet wrong. This way, more often than not, Semiya would lose while Huo Sining would win, and cases where Huo Sining alone guessed wrong were rare.

In this manner, with gains and losses, Huo Sining’s cheque pile grew while Semiya, red-eyed from gambling, was wholly focused on the Dice Listening Skill, completely forgetting how many times she’d signed, or how much she’d lost to Huo Sining.

To those who didn’t understand dice gambling, like Su Qingqing and Li Jun, it seemed merely a game of luck, with Huo Sining having no chance of cheating. Furthermore, Huo Sining didn’t know Dice Listening Skills, whereas Semiya often perked up her ears to listen to Windsor Caesar’s dice-shaking, seeming more professional than Huo Sining.

But the fact was that Huo Sining still won against Semiya, and turned her one million into Semiya’s over ninety million. During this process, Huo Sining would occasionally move to the fruit plate and snack, or chat a bit with Su Qingqing and others, looking quite relaxed, as if she wasn’t involved at all.

In everyone’s eyes, Huo Sining’s luck was simply phenomenal.

Only Gu Xu and Windsor Caesar, who had faced Huo Sining before at WGC’s ”king vs king,” knew the truth; knowing this match was just Huo Sining playing with Princess Semiya.

However, while Windsor Caesar knew of Huo Sining’s exceptional gambling skills, he didn’t understand her as thoroughly as Gu Xu did.

In reality, his wife didn’t have any gambling skills but relied purely on external aid.

As long as she sat opposite Semiya’s table, she wouldn’t need to listen to dice, regardless if it was playing cards, mahjong, bridge, even with her eyes closed, she could see any of her opponent’s cards.

Therefore, for Huo Sining, playing dice was no different than being handed money.
