Reborn As Super Heiress

Capítulo 1886: Chapter 1789: One Hundred Million, Play As You Like

Huo Sining hadn’t expected that the black market would have a finale item, but what interested her at the moment weren’t those things, but the few antiques she had seen on the market during the day that had moved her heart. She was a bit worried that those items might attract a lot of bidders due to their well-preserved condition, and even if she wanted to win one or two of them, it would be quite difficult.

However, with Miss Semya’s guarantee now, she didn’t need to worry.

With the right to purchase first, she could gather all those antiques into her collection. With such a good opportunity, Huo Sining certainly wouldn’t refuse.

Huo Sining initially doubted the authenticity of the woman’s words, but Semya had just proposed a wager, and Windsor Caesar hadn’t questioned it, indicating that what she said was likely true.

However, considering the woman’s history, Huo Sining still had to be cautious. This woman had the ability to turn black into white. Just a verbal promise? Huo Sining didn’t trust she would keep her promise and really send her the items.

Thinking this way, Huo Sining said, “If you really want to bet with me, that’s not a problem, but first, we need to put the agreement in black and white. Otherwise, even if you’re willing to acknowledge it, your brother might not agree.”

Semiya, seeing Huo Sining agree, immediately smiled and said, “Of course!”

She then beckoned the bar owner to bring paper and pen, drafted a contract, and after both parties confirmed it was correct, they signed and stamped it.

After the previous dice-rolling experience, Semya learned her lesson and proposed a different game this time, not guessing numbers, but guessing high or low and odd or even.

Huo Sining wasn’t surprised and nodded in agreement, but she made a request: to appoint two people to roll the dice, one representing herself and the other representing Semya, and they would only guess without touching the dice cup. Three to nine points would be considered small, and ten to eighteen as large.

Semya didn’t suspect any trickery in Huo Sining’s request and readily agreed because, in her opinion, it didn’t matter who rolled the dice; it was all the same. She believed she was proficient in any type of game.

However, Semya gave Huo Sining a provocative look and immediately appointed Windsor Caesar to roll the dice for her, her eyes revealing a sense of smug satisfaction.

Huo Sining wasn’t at all surprised by Semya’s choice; to her, there were no secrets at the gambling table, and rolling dice required no special technique, so it didn’t matter who did it. Without thinking, she beckoned to Gu Xu to roll for her.

According to what Semya had said earlier, the bet was one million US dollars per round, and neither had that much cash, so they each produced a bank draft.

Huo Sining had a Swiss Bank account where the funds were stored from the sale of some of the Chicken Blood Stone pieces by Gu Xu and his team, originally acquired under the guise of building a resort. To avoid attention, Gu Xu hadn’t disclosed these funds and kept them in Swiss Bank.

Semiya had a thick stack of drafts and said, “I have a hundred million here, let’s play!”

Semiya waved the draft in her hand, her eyes clearly showing the message that she had money to burn.

However, in Huo Sining’s eyes, Semya’s actions took on a different meaning, almost as if her face was advertising “easy money, come and get it.” For Huo Sining, if someone was throwing money her way, she wouldn’t reject it.

She smiled modestly and said, “I don’t have much in my Swiss Bank, just three million, but there should be a limit, and it can be overdrafted.”

With that, Huo Sining wrote a check for one million and tore off the first page, saying, “Come on, today I’ll have a good time playing with Miss Semya, let’s see if you can win all my drafts!”

This was just an overt statement. What Huo Sining didn’t say was that, to her, even if her bank drafts were empty, she was determined to make a profit without any real risk.

In fact, after tearing off the first page, she hadn’t considered tearing a second one. With one million as a stake, it was entirely sufficient.

Given their statuses, it was unlikely they would lie. Although the drafts weren’t verified, neither was someone who was short of money, so neither questioned the drafts in each other’s hands.

Playing dice is unlike playing cards; in poker, you can choose not to match or bluff, or even fold to escape, but dice games are different. The outcome of a million-dollar stake can be determined in just a few minutes.

Moreover, dices rely on both skill and luck. Unless both parties guess correctly or incorrectly at the same time, the results of each round come with winners and losers. If one has bad luck, even a hundred million might not be enough to cover the loss.

At this moment, the waiter brought the printed agreement. The previous agreement stated that if Huo Sining won, she would have purchasing priority in the black market, whereas this was a betting agreement.

Given the stakes of one million per round, a true gambling match, even if Huo Sining didn’t propose it, Semya had to be cautious. As both parties had proposed the gameplay, they needed a written agreement specifying the rules as a precaution.

Gu Xu took the agreement, read it carefully to ensure there was nothing different from what was discussed, and then passed it to Huo Sining. Not wasting time, she took the pen and signed her name on the agreement.

According to formal casino rules, after signing an agreement, both parties should inspect the gaming equipment. However, since the two had already played once before, this step could be skipped.

What Semya didn’t know was that all the gambling equipment on the table had been examined by Huo Sining, and both the dice cup and dice were made of ordinary ivory without any issues. She pushed the agreement in front of Semya and smiled:

“Alright, let’s begin!”

Semiya, already eager to start, quickly signed her name after seeing the agreement pushed over by Huo Sining.
