Urban Martial Saint

The Purple Robe Lama’s response left the members of Sha Men stunned, unsure of why the Purple Robe Lama suddenly said such words. Just moments ago, wasn’t he speaking well about going to Panlong Valley together? Yet, why did he abruptly change his mind? What exactly is the Purple Robe Lama trying to do?

Seeing the astonished expressions of the group, the Purple Robe Lama showed no sign of repentance, saying, ”Everyone, since this is the case, I’ll go handle this matter first; we’ll meet again!”

After speaking, without waiting for a reply, the Purple Robe Lama leapt out of the window, leaving the group to look at each other with puzzled expressions.

”What on earth does the Purple Robe Lama mean?” Li Ruoyuan frowned and said, ”He was speaking well, but now he changes his mind at this moment. How does anyone conduct themselves like this?”

”He is considered one of the Five Uniques of the World, a figure known for keeping his word. Why would he choose to do such a thing?” He Qinghua also expressed surprise, ”This person used to handle matters well. Why has he suddenly changed his disposition this time?”

”Who knows!” Black Asura sneered, ”Could it be that this guy thinks Panlong Valley is dangerous, so he’s afraid to go there?”

”Hey, do you think he might have colluded with the Wanyan Family and deliberately devised such a trap to deceive us?” another person suggested.

”Impossible!” Cui Yulong said resolutely, ”The Purple-robed Elder is a venerable elder, known for his benevolence and soaring moral character. How could he do such a petty thing? He must have something urgent to handle, so he couldn’t go with us!”

Among the group, only Cui Yulong was acquainted with the Purple Robe Lama earlier. With Cui Yulong’s assertion, others could not refute him. In truth, everyone also doubted the Purple Robe Lama would deceive them, due to the relationship with the Reincarnated True Buddha. The Purple Robe Lama could betray anyone but the Reincarnated True Buddha!

”Alright, let’s not mind too much!” Cui Yu said solemnly, ”The Purple-robed Elder has other urgent matters, so let’s not trouble him. Since the Sect Leader has gone there, this battle holds no issue, let’s hurry to Panlong Valley to meet up with the Sect Leader!”

”Yes, let’s go meet up with the Sect Leader!” Everyone nodded, clearly eager to meet the Bloody Monk quickly.

Once the discussion ended, the group left the room and sped towards Panlong Valley under the night sky.

Meanwhile, in a distant darkness, a figure quietly watched the members of Sha Men depart. This person was none other than the Purple Robe Lama himself.

Watching the Sha Men members leave, the Purple Robe Lama couldn’t help but smile bitterly. Though he had left, he could still hear the conversation inside, thanks to his superior skills over the Sha Men members, naturally hearing their doubts about him.

In fact, the Purple Robe Lama had no actual task to perform. Just moments ago, upon hearing the Bloody Monk’s words, he suddenly changed his decision, opting not to go to Panlong Valley. The reason for this change was solely due to a saying from the Reincarnated True Buddha: ”After the Bloody Monk leaves Xiaolin Temple, the day you meet him again will be the day you die!”

The prophecy of the Reincarnated True Buddha is something everyone believes. As Brahmanism’s Guardian of the Faith Elder, the Purple Robe Lama revered the Reincarnated True Buddha immensely. The words of the Reincarnated True Buddha were wholly trusted by him. Although he didn’t know why the Reincarnated True Buddha would say such, upon hearing the Bloody Monk mentioned he had just come from Xiaolin Temple, his heart was immediately on edge. According to the Reincarnated True Buddha, once the Bloody Monk left Xiaolin Temple, he shouldn’t meet him again; otherwise, he would die.

The Purple Robe Lama didn’t know the reason behind this prophecy but certainly believed the Reincarnated True Buddha. Indeed, in the past, the previous True Buddha in Brahmanism told him similar advice. The former True Buddha warned him not to set foot in Huaxia if he passed away; otherwise, it would cost him his life in Huaxia, unable to return to Brahmanism!

The Purple Robe Lama originally truly did not wish to enter Huaxia, but due to complications in seeking the Reincarnated True Buddha, he was forced to enter Huaxia. On this trip to Huaxia, he came with a tenacious will, but fortunately found the Reincarnated True Buddha. He thought the matter would end, yet events in Huaxia prevented the Reincarnated True Buddha from leaving. As a protector of the Reincarnated True Buddha, since the True Buddha couldn’t leave, he obviously couldn’t leave either, so he took the risk to stay in Huaxia.

And regarding the Reincarnated True Buddha’s prophecy about meeting the Bloody Monk leading to his death, the Purple Robe Lama dared not disbelieve. So, after listening to the Bloody Monk’s words, he promptly altered his plans, found an excuse and chose not to head to Panlong Valley or meet the Bloody Monk!

Of course, the Purple Robe Lama was curious, not understanding what the Reincarnated True Buddha meant. Why after the Bloody Monk returned from Xiaolin Temple, would meeting the Bloody Monk signal his death? Could it be the Bloody Monk intended to kill him?

Though filled with doubt, the Purple Robe Lama dared not question the Reincarnated True Buddha’s words. These matters were certainly things he wouldn’t disclose to the members of Sha Men.

Once seeing the Sha Men group leave, the Purple Robe Lama didn’t linger but turned towards Shenchuan City. Since the elite masters from the Wanyan Family weren’t in Shenchuan City, the city’s defenses were surely weak. Heading to the Wanyan Family now might reveal other crucial information. Although he couldn’t rescue Bai Li Xi, he should first gather intel in Shenchuan City!

The night was silent, and the defenses on the Wanyan Family’s side still had no effect on the Purple Robe Lama. He had been here once before, and now returning, he naturally found it easy to maneuver around the guards and quietly arrived at the main building of the manor.

As he stealthily slipped outside the main building, the Purple Robe Lama was contemplating where to go for a bit of reconnaissance. Suddenly, a person hurriedly ran from outside the main building and directly entered inside.

Seeing the hurried manner of this person, the Purple Robe Lama instinctively knew that something was amiss. Right away, he followed inside the main building, but of course, he did not use the main entrance; instead, he quietly entered from the rooftop.

The Purple Robe Lama’s Crossing the River with a Reed was a secret technique left by Patriarch Bodhidharma, considered one of the most powerful Qinggong techniques. With the Purple Robe Lama’s current Qinggong skill, even a peak master slightly stronger than him could hardly detect him, let alone when the elite of the Wanyan Family were not present.

Following that person into the main building, the Purple Robe Lama saw from a distance that there was someone sitting in the main hall of the building. And this person was none other than Wanyan Hongsheng, who had once suffered greatly in Shenchuan City.

Before the appearance of Wanyan Hongfeng, Wanyan Hongsheng was considered the second most important figure in the Wanyan Family, right below Wanyan Second Master. However, after Wanyan Hongfeng appeared, Wanyan Hongsheng’s status plummeted, and he was no longer considered elite. This was evident in this instance: when Wanyan Hongfeng led the elite to attack the Sword Saint Sect, Wanyan Hongsheng remained in Shenchuan City and did not follow along, which showed his declining status!

Wanyan Hongsheng was sitting in the hall and, upon seeing the person run in, put down the booklet in his hand and quietly looked at the newcomer.

The individual ran to a spot not far from Wanyan Hongsheng and immediately knelt down, saying, ”Third Master!”

”How are the matters I assigned to you?” Wanyan Hongsheng asked.

”All have been arranged!” the newcomer replied hurriedly. ”I have already spread news about Bai Li Xi’s matters in Panlong Valley. I believe Ye Qing and his people should have received the information by now, and might be rushing towards Panlong Valley at this moment.”

Upon hearing this, the Purple Robe Lama’s heart jumped. These messages were deliberately leaked by them? Could it be they intended to lead everyone to Panlong Valley? But what exactly did they want to do?

”Very good!” Wanyan Hongsheng nodded with satisfaction and said, ”If this plan succeeds, the credit will surely be yours!”

The newcomer was overjoyed and immediately knelt to thank him. After a slight pause, the person quietly asked, ”Third Master, is there any possibility of a flaw in this plan?”

”What flaw?” Wanyan Hongsheng countered.

”I mean...” The person took a deep breath and said, ”Ye Qing still has Bloody Monk, Shen Tianjun, Liu Mubai, and Wu Xiuming, those masters supporting him. It’s not even counting Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue and others; just those earlier individuals, none of them are weak. If they all rush to Panlong Valley, the manpower we have now might not be able to defeat them!”

”Hmph, unable to defeat them does not mean we can’t kill them!” Wanyan Hongsheng replied with a cold sneer.

”Kill them?” The person was even more astonished, having no idea of how Wanyan Hongsheng intended to kill these people.

”You think I act without any consideration?” Wanyan Hongsheng said coldly. ”I know their strength much better than you. Do you think I would confront them without assured measures? Hmph, true, with the remaining strength of the Wanyan Family, we can’t defeat them; but it doesn’t mean I can’t kill them.”

Taking a deep breath, the newcomer looked at Wanyan Hongsheng and quietly said, ”Third Master, your subordinate still doesn’t quite understand what you mean. How do you intend to kill these people?”

”Hahaha...” Wanyan Hongsheng laughed coldly, seeming in good spirits and not refusing to answer. He slowly picked up the booklet in front of him and said, ”Have you heard of the Demon Hideout Cave?”

”The Demon Hideout Cave on Beimang Mountain, where the Great Demon King met his death!” the person immediately nodded. ”Your subordinate has naturally heard about it!”

Wanyan Hongsheng said, ”Then you know the relationship between the Wanyan Family and the Demon Hideout Cave, right?”
