Urban Martial Saint

Speaking of the masked man, Wanyan Second Master was also quite puzzled. He looked at Wanyan Hongfeng and said, ”Brother, what’s the identity of that masked man? He has a good relationship with Shen Tianjun, but he always wears a mask and never shows his true face. What’s going on? Does he have some unspeakable secrets?”

”Not only has he never shown his true face, the key is that he’s hiding his martial arts!” Wanyan Hongfeng said in a deep voice, ”The martial arts he displays aren’t his own; they’re just to mislead the public!”

”Oh?” Wanyan Second Master was stunned for a moment and said, ”Impossible, right? His martial arts aren’t much inferior to Shen Tianjun’s, very strong indeed. If this isn’t his own martial arts, then... if he shows his specialized skills, wouldn’t his power be even stronger than Shen Tianjun’s?”

Wanyan Hongfeng said, ”That’s not the most critical part. The key is, why is this person trying to mislead others? What matter does he have that he’s afraid to let others know?”

”This...” Wanyan Second Master scratched his head, remained silent for a while, then said, ”Brother, even if this person’s strength exceeds Shen Tianjun’s, he won’t pose much of a threat to us. As long as he’s not beyond the pinnacle master, he can’t disrupt our plans!”

Wanyan Hongfeng glanced at Wanyan Second Master without speaking. After a long silence, he softly said, ”What about Miao Borderlands?”

”Gu Mother in Miao Borderlands now has high prestige; the entire region is under her control. Our people dare not venture too deeply there. Miao Borderlands is united; outsiders can’t gain any advantage!” Wanyan Second Master said softly, ”But thankfully, Gu Mother is the spiritual leader of Miao Borderlands, respected by all Miao People. Generally, she doesn’t leave Miao Borderlands easily. As long as she’s unaware of external affairs, she won’t come out recklessly. The people she sends out are either captured by us or tricked back by our information; she doesn’t know the outside situation and poses no threat to us!”

”Remember, Gu Mother is the biggest variable, and nothing must go wrong here!” Wanyan Hongfeng took a deep breath, gently stroked the scabbard of the Minghong Knife in his hand, and said softly, ”If Gu Mother appears, I cannot be her enemy even with the Minghong Knife. So, Gu Mother must not move, understand what I mean?”

Wanyan Second Master hadn’t anticipated his brother’s high evaluation of Gu Mother; he also took a deep breath and said, ”Brother, I understand. I’ll immediately deploy more personnel to seal off Miao Borderlands completely; no one can enter. This way, they won’t know about external affairs, and Gu Mother won’t come out!”

”Good!” Wanyan Hongfeng nodded, ”Once everything is done, we won’t need to fear the Gu Mother any longer. Just pass this period, and all will be peaceful!”

”Yes!” Wanyan Second Master nodded immediately; he wasn’t as wary of Gu Mother as Wanyan Hongfeng. But since Wanyan Hongfeng cared so much about this matter, he dared not underestimate it.

Wanyan Hongfeng said, ”By the way, what about the Red Heavenly Cluster Clouds? Still not found?”

”Not yet!” Wanyan Second Master shook his head, ”Our people have been pursuing this matter ever since entering Shenchuan City. According to the World Alliance’s information, it seems the Headmaster of the Southern Ridge Sect’s wife and daughter took the Heavenly Cluster Clouds and fled. But now, these two are nowhere to be seen, and we don’t know where they’ve taken the Heavenly Cluster Clouds!”

Wanyan Hongfeng slightly furrowed his brows, remained silent for a while, then said, ”Find them, bring back the Heavenly Cluster Clouds; it’s a lethal weapon!”

”I’ve already sent people to do it, but those two women cunningly hid along unknown routes; we just can’t find them!” Wanyan Second Master said, ”But I’ll assign more personnel to find them soon!”

”Hmm!” Wanyan Hongfeng nodded, pondered for a moment, then said, ”Also, we need to find another person!”

”Who?” Wanyan Second Master was puzzled, unaware of Wanyan Hongfeng’s concerns.

”Du Canglang!” Wanyan Hongfeng said.

”Du Canglang?” Wanyan Second Master was momentarily stunned, unsure why Wanyan Hongfeng feared this person.

”Last time, this person ate a Meat Ganoderma brought by Ye Qing; his strength is fully restored, even showing signs of improvement, possibly reaching beyond the pinnacle!” Wanyan Hongfeng said in a deep voice, ”Moreover, he seems to have a good relationship with Ye Qing. But ever since the matter at Mount Duwang, he’s been searching for Huangfu Ziyu and hasn’t been seen since. Now that Huangfu Ziyu has returned, why is there no news of him? Don’t you find this bizarre?”

”True indeed.” Wanyan Second Master nodded and said, ”I’ll arrange for someone to search for Du Canglang!”

Wanyan Hongfeng nodded, stood by the window, still not completely relaxed in expression. Wanyan Second Master found this strange and spoke softly, ”Brother, even if Du Canglang consumed a Meat Ganoderma, breaking past beyond pinnacle isn’t easy. Regardless of why he’s absent, he isn’t worth much worry!”

”My concern isn’t about him...” Wanyan Hongfeng glanced at Wanyan Second Master, remained silent for a long while, then said softly, ”My concern is about Iga-ryu.”

”What’s wrong with Iga-ryu?” Wanyan Second Master was puzzled; hadn’t Iga-ryu become history? Last time, Ye Qing led all the Elders Council members from Iga-ryu into the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, except for the Fifth Elder, everyone died there. Subsequently, Ye Qing also tricked the Iga-ryu Sect Master, killed him, even seized the Iga-ryu’s Heavenly Cluster Clouds. Now Iga-ryu no longer exists, what could be worth Wanyan Hongfeng’s attention?

Wanyan Hongfeng wasn’t sure what to think, he waved it off, ”Forget it, don’t concern yourself with these matters. Remember, find Du Canglang no matter what!”

Wanyan Second Master dared not ask more, nodded, and said, ”Brother, don’t worry, I’ll ensure we find Du Canglang soon!”

Wanyan Hongfeng nodded, without saying more. Wanyan Second Master didn’t quite understand Wanyan Hongfeng’s mindset, gradually withdrew and went out to arrange personnel to handle these matters.

Inside, Wanyan Hongfeng watched Wanyan Second Master leave, sighed softly, and said in a low voice, ”The two ninja clans from Japan, the strength of Koga-ryu far exceeds Iga-ryu. In a power-respected place like Japan, Iga-ryu should have been swallowed by Koga-ryu. Yet, Iga-ryu remains standing, isn’t this suspicious? How could Iga-ryu be so easily annihilated?”

Of course, such words could never be heard by Wanyan Second Master. Wanyan Hongfeng had reservations about Japanese ninja clans’ power but didn’t focus too much on it. After all, if the Church wants to enter Huaxia, they’d have to clash with Japan’s ninja clans. Japan’s ninja clans can’t pay attention to him; they’re not a key concern.

He paced slowly within the room for a while when sudden hurried footsteps came from outside. Wanyan Hongfeng frowned slightly, recognized them as Wanyan Second Master’s. But what could have occurred to make Wanyan Second Master so frantic?

Soon enough, Wanyan Second Master rushed in and immediately exclaimed, ”Brother, there’s news, there’s news!”

”What news is there?” Wanyan Hongfeng asked, puzzled by Wanyan Second Master’s sudden statement.

Out of breath, Wanyan Second Master inhaled deeply to calm his heartbeat, ”News of Ye Qing!”

”What!?” Wanyan Hongfeng’s expression changed instantly; this was his utmost concern. Ye Qing wasn’t critical, but the Sun Shooting Bow Ye Qing carried was paramount. They now have the Heaven Earth Man Tri-Map and Six Keys; only the Sun Shooting Bow’s left to open the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates. At this juncture, Wanyan Hongfeng was willing to pay any price for the Sun Shooting Bow’s retrieval; the news rendered him unable to remain calm.

”Where is Ye Qing!” Wanyan Hongfeng quickly demanded, ”Is the Sun Shooting Bow on him?”

”The Sun Shooting Bow is with him. We just obtained the news; Ye Qing appeared within Jiangbei Province. Judging by his route, he’s headed towards Mount Wendao!” Wanyan Second Master inhaled deeply, eagerly looking at Wanyan Hongfeng, said, ”Brother, I’ll lead people to intercept Ye Qing at Mount Wendao!”

”Mount Wendao?” Wanyan Hongfeng’s brows furrowed at the mention, repeated the words without replying to Wanyan Second Master, leaving his thoughts unknown.

At this moment, a young man rushed in from outside. This young man looked pale, carrying an eerie air. His eyes held a hint of wickedness; upon closer inspection, his identity could be discerned: he was none other than Wanyan Zong’s son, Wanyan Ming, heir of the Wanyan Family!

Wanyan Ming was Wanyan Zong’s son, while Wanyan Zong was Wanyan Hongfeng’s son, making Wanyan Ming Wanyan Hongfeng’s direct grandchild.

After Wanyan Second Master, Wanyan Hongsheng, and other elder figures appeared, Wanyan Zong lost control over the Wanyan Family. Nonetheless, nobody dared to underestimate them; they were direct descendants. Now, with Wanyan Hongfeng’s appearance, Wanyan Zong father’s identity needed no further elaboration, solidifying Wanyan Ming as the Wanyan Family’s undeniable young master!
