Urban Martial Saint

This sudden action caused those few people to immediately cry out in misery, some clutching their arms and rolling on the ground. Such a pain from a severed hand isn’t something just anyone can endure!

Even though Ye Qing struck swiftly, a few people still lunged forward and grabbed Ye Qing’s shoulder.

Ye Qing didn’t panic, having years of military experience. Close combat without Inner Strength is still possible. Without Inner Strength, there’s still the famed dagger, which is enough to wound.

When he was grabbed by those people, Ye Qing also managed to see them clearly. With a swift reverse grip on the dagger, Ye Qing suddenly lunged forward into the embrace of one of them. This person opened his arms to hold Ye Qing down, but the dagger in Ye Qing’s hand had already slashed across his neck. He couldn’t hold Ye Qing back, and instead, staggered backward clutching his neck.

Ye Qing successfully struck the first blow, and without hesitation, went for the second person using the same method, slicing through the person’s throat.

After two successful attacks, the surrounding people were frightened by Ye Qing, recoiling and avoiding him, none daring to approach him again. Even still, two people were slower; one had his leg severed by Ye Qing, while the other was pierced through by Ye Qing’s dagger and likely wouldn’t survive either.

In an instant, over twenty people charged forward, unable to capture Ye Qing and instead several were killed and injured by him. The situation caused the twenty-plus people to be terrified. Those who originally planned to descend from the cliff all froze, none daring to come down. Ye Qing was just too fierce!

Actually, Ye Qing’s heart was also pounding wildly; after he slit the throat of the second person, he was already at the end of his strength. If at that moment these people had rushed up behind him and held him down, Ye Qing likely wouldn’t have had the strength to resist. However, these people were clearly not well-coordinated and lacked courage. When they saw Ye Qing kill a few people, they became fearful, allowing Ye Qing to seize the opportunity.

Taking the chance to inhale deeply a few times, regaining some strength, Ye Qing gripped the dagger even tighter. Though the number of people was large, their techniques were mediocre; even if they had Inner Strength, it didn’t mean they couldn’t be fought against. The techniques Ye Qing practiced included not only lethal techniques learned in the military but also the Bajiquan of the Northern Fist King and the Wing Chun of the Southern Fist King. In such close combat, military close-combat lethal techniques and Wing Chun are absolutely the most suitable methods. Against people whose Martial Techniques were lacking, they are very useful!

The crowd suffered a great loss, now dispersed around Ye Qing, yet none dared to rashly charge forward. And those on the cliff also dared not come down now, merely watching Ye Qing from a distance, none daring to move forward a bit.

Just as Ye Qing predicted, these people were descendants of the Five Poison Sect; their skill in poisoning was excellent, but their Martial Arts were very mediocre. They reached the level of Internal Energy Release because their Inner Strength training was rather good, but their actual techniques were quite ordinary.

In Ye Qing’s current state, his body was impervious to blades and arrows, and these people’s attacks had no effect on him. Unless they could completely subdue Ye Qing, they had no chance of capturing him. But Ye Qing was different; with the famed dagger in hand, he could kill them as long as he found the opportunity. Comparatively, these people naturally feared Ye Qing greatly.

Though many people surrounded Ye Qing, none dared to advance, creating an awkward situation on the scene. However, Ye Qing dared not be careless because he could see another twenty to thirty people had gathered around the cliff. If they all jumped down and charged at him together, Ye Qing alone could not hold off so many. In his current state, if he was pinned down, he wouldn’t have the power to resist anymore. Therefore, for Ye Qing, the best course of action now was to take advantage of before they all came to deal with him together, resolving a portion first to lessen his pressure.

With that thought, Ye Qing almost hesitated. Taking a deep breath, he swiftly stepped forward, rushing straight towards the nearest person.

The surrounding people were all watching Ye Qing vigilantly, and when they saw Ye Qing suddenly charge, they were indeed startled. Especially the person Ye Qing was targeting, who instinctively retreated immediately, not daring to let Ye Qing near him.

However, just as Ye Qing took two steps forward, he suddenly changed direction. Instead of charging at the person he initially focused on, he dashed towards another person nearby.

The person nearby saw that Ye Qing wasn’t coming toward him and felt somewhat lucky, not paying much attention. Unexpectedly, Ye Qing suddenly changed direction, directly lunging at him, catching him off guard. After Ye Qing had already taken those two steps, he was not far from him now. With the abrupt turn, he didn’t have time to react or escape, Ye Qing was already upon him. In such a situation, realizing escape was futile, he shouted loudly and punched forcefully at Ye Qing, trying to force him back.

Ye Qing paid no mind to the punch thrown at him and charged forward, taking the punch head-on. However, for Ye Qing, the punch was painless, unable to hinder him in the slightest. On the contrary, as the punch was thrown, Ye Qing’s dagger rose and swiftly sliced across the attacker’s neck. The man gaped, clutching his neck as he staggered back, but his neck had already been slit by Ye Qing.

Having dealt with him, Ye Qing paused not even for a moment. With a tiptoe on the ground, he dashed towards the next person nearby. This person was somewhat prepared and tried to turn and run, but Ye Qing threw the dagger at him. The dagger was a famed instrument, incredibly sharp. Despite lacking the aid of inner strength, the throw embedded it in the man’s back.

”Ah!” The man let out a scream, collapsing to the ground. Ye Qing quickly caught up, retrieved the dagger, and similarly slit the man’s throat, making him follow in the steps of the earlier victim.

After these quick eliminations, the onlookers were in chaos. They had just seen one of their own punch Ye Qing, but Ye Qing seemed unfazed, which made them doubt Wu Zishi’s words. Wasn’t Ye Qing supposed to have lost his inner strength? Why was he unaffected by their punch? The one who punched him wasn’t weak by any means.

Having seen Ye Qing kill so many, the crowd began doubting whether Wu Zishi’s claims were false. Ye Qing didn’t look like someone who had lost his martial arts skills!

Because of their fear and hesitation, no one dared to attack Ye Qing again; instead, they looked for opportunities to flee. This scenario worked in Ye Qing’s favor. He seized the chance, took down another five people in a row, terrifying the remaining few into panic.

After dealing with those, Ye Qing took a breath. Over half of the twenty plus attackers had been dealt with by him. They had either been killed with throat slits or left incapacitated with broken limbs. Although six others remained unscathed, they were trembling in fear and dared not challenge Ye Qing.

As for the twenty or thirty people observing from above, they were too stunned by the scene below to consider jumping in. Thus, even though six unharmed men remained below, they were without reinforcements. If it came to a direct confrontation, the six wouldn’t stand a chance against Ye Qing.

Noticing Ye Qing’s gaze, the six shivered uncontrollably, one pleading in a trembling voice, ”It’s not my fault, don’t kill me...”

Ye Qing ignored the plea, sprinted forward, and with one swift motion, severed the man’s leg. He didn’t kill him, but ensured he couldn’t resist further.

The remaining five were paralyzed with fear. One, realizing escape was impossible, roared in defiance, ”******, I’m going down fighting!”

As he shouted, he charged at Ye Qing, looking as if ready to lay down his life. But after just two steps, Ye Qing feigned throwing his dagger, scaring the man into a rolling dodge.

Overly timid, the man was fooled by Ye Qing’s empty gesture. Ye Qing hadn’t actually thrown the dagger, only feinted. The man was terrified into a roll, while Ye Qing seized the opportunity to rush forward, ending him with a single thrust before he could stand again.

The remaining four were defenseless under Ye Qing’s fierce assault. Three had their limbs severed, and one was dispatched outright. Ye Qing held back no mercy because any hesitation could mean his own death. Therefore, he seized the moment to eliminate as many as possible, lessening his future burden!

After dealing with these last four, Ye Qing finally exhaled. Of the initial attackers, he had effectively subdued everyone. Considering half of these arrivals were neutralized, his burden was significantly lessened. Of course, the group of thirty or so above remained, but their threat was mitigated. As long as they didn’t dare launch a concerted attack, Ye Qing still had a chance of victory!

Ye Qing pulled his dagger from the last man’s chest, then calmly wiped the blood off on the man’s clothing. He then slowly looked up at the group above and coolly said, ”Come at me all at once!”
