Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing shook his head. This was precisely what he was most curious about. For others, this would be an enormous good fortune, but why did the One-Eyed Man want to treat him like this? Ye Qing had no relation to him whatsoever. Was he trying to harm Ye Qing or help him?

”Heh heh heh...” The One-Eyed Man let out a cold laugh and said, ”That old fellow Shen Tianjun has quite a few tricks up his sleeve, setting up this marriage proposal event. He says it’s for marriage, but it’s really about finding an ally through marriage. How could I let him succeed in such a thing? Kid, as long as you and Shen Qingyi have your rice cooked, his marriage proposal will be spoiled. By then, he won’t be able to form any marriage alliance with anyone, and naturally, he won’t find any allies!”

Ye Qing was shocked. He finally understood the One-Eyed Man’s purpose, which was to stop Shen Tianjun’s marriage proposal and prevent him from forming alliances through this method. Considering it this way, the One-Eyed Man was indeed cunning, using such despicable means. However, his plan was truly effective.

If something were to happen between Ye Qing and Shen Qingyi, then the Shen Family would be unable to proceed with the marriage proposal and would have to let Ye Qing and Shen Qingyi marry. And Ye Qing had no power or background, which would mean that the Shen Family wouldn’t find an ally and wouldn’t be able to enhance their strength, precisely what the One-Eyed Man wanted to see.

Realizing all of this, Ye Qing became even more anxious. If he were to ruin Shen Tianjun’s plan because of this, he would truly be a sinner. Most importantly, if he were to have anything with Shen Qingyi here, how could he face Huangfu Ziyu?

Ye Qing had feelings for Shen Qingyi, but he had an even greater responsibility toward Huangfu Ziyu!

The One-Eyed Man, however, didn’t concern himself with such matters. He looked at Ye Qing with delight and said, ”Young man, be satisfied. Shen Qingyi is an unparalleled beauty, you’re getting a lucky deal. Others could only dream of such fortune. I’m helping you, and you ought to thank me!”

Ye Qing stared intensely at the One-Eyed Man, fury nearly spewing from his eyes. He was utterly livid. Yet, the One-Eyed Man ignored him, only continuing to coldly observe Shen Family Manor below the mountain.

As Sha Men’s people spoke, they had already arrived outside Shen Family Manor. They made quite a commotion with their arrival, and someone inside Shen Family Manor had already noticed the noise, sending two men out to block their vehicle.

”Where are you friends from on this carriage, and what business do you have at Shen Family Manor?” the leading man shouted.

”Hahaha...” The Blood-Robed Monk stepped out from the vehicle, holding Shen Qianyue in one hand and Shen Baichuan in the other, and shouted, ”Go, have the Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun come out to meet me!”

On the mountain, the One-Eyed Man was taken aback when he saw the situation at the manor gate. Frowning, he said, ”Why has that guy come too? What does he intend to do?”

The One-Eyed Man was far from Shen Family Manor, so the people below had not noticed him. The two men saw Shen Qianyue and Shen Baichuan in the Blood-Robed Monk’s hands, and naturally, they were startled. They urgently asked, ”Who exactly are you? Why are you holding someone from the Shen Family?”

At this moment, Cui Yu also stepped out of the car, saying loudly, ”Go and invite Senior Shen, the Southern Fist King, out. We have a gift for him!”

”Ghost-faced Judge Cui Yu!” the man recognized Cui Yu, and his expression immediately changed. He said gravely, ”The grievances between Shen Family Manor and Sha Men have already been resolved. Our Shen Family Manor hasn’t sought trouble with your Sha Men, and yet you hold people from our Shen Family now. What is the meaning of this? Do you Sha Men intend to initiate another grand battle?”

Cui Yu felt slightly embarrassed. He truly didn’t want to do this matter today, given the previously decent relations with the Shen Family. However, this was the Blood-Robed Monk’s order, and he had no choice but to grit his teeth and comply.

”Invite Senior Shen out, and everything will become clear!” Cui Yu declared loudly.

Seeing the number of people Sha Men had brought, the man dared not truly clash with them and only said gravely, ”Once the Family Head comes out, he certainly won’t forgive you!”

The man hurriedly ran into Shen Family Manor, heading straight to the hall where Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun was entertaining the guests who had come. Key members of the Shen Family were also present, and the hall was quite lively.

”Master, something’s wrong! There’s trouble!” The man hurried in, shouting as he ran, instantly drawing everyone’s attention to himself.

”What happened, rushing and making such a fuss!” Shen Da scolded sternly.

The man quickly steadied himself, swallowed his saliva, and said urgently, ”Master, the young master, outside... Sha Men’s people have come, and they’ve captured Qianyue and Bai Chuan, bringing along a monk wearing a blood-red kasaya, saying they want you to personally go out and meet them.”

Upon hearing these words, everyone inside the room frowned. Li Tianyi was the first to slam the table and stand up, saying sternly, ”That Bloody Monk’s audacity is truly outrageous, daring to cause trouble at Shen Family Manor. It’s simply unacceptable. Senior Shen, you needn’t go out; I’ll deal with him for you!”

Li Tianyi finished speaking and didn’t wait for Shen Tianjun to respond. With a leap, he jumped out of the hall and headed straight for the gate of the manor.

”I’m going too!” shouted Huang Yidao, grabbing a long knife and chasing after him.

”You guys...” Shen Tianjun wanted to stop them, but the two had already run far away. He sighed helplessly and shook his head, saying, ”Everyone, I’m really sorry, I’m going to have to excuse myself for a moment.”

After speaking, Shen Tianjun also leapt out.

Everyone else was already restless. Seeing Shen Tianjun go out, they all followed suit, including the Great General Helian Tiehua and Prince Nalan. A dozen martial arts masters surged toward the manor’s gate.

Li Tianyi and Huang Yidao were the first to arrive and were currently fighting with the Bloody Monk. The two of them teamed up against the Bloody Monk, but were being defeated repeatedly. In front of the Bloody Monk, they had no room to exert their strength. Seeing Shen Tianjun fast approaching, the Bloody Monk suddenly let out a cold laugh, grabbed Li Tianyi by the neck, and flung him away. At the same time, he grabbed Huang Yidao’s knife with the other hand and snapped it with force, the long knife breaking into pieces under the Bloody Monk’s grip. Huang Yidao, shocked and with his arm numb from the impact, retreated several steps before steadying himself. He looked at the Bloody Monk fearfully and dared not advance further.

Li Tianyi and Huang Yidao had no idea of the Bloody Monk’s strength and were slightly arrogant, wanting to impress others by confronting the Bloody Monk. Little did they know, even teaming up, they were no match for him and were quickly defeated, leaving them thoroughly embarrassed and unsure of what to do.

The Northern Martial Zen and Prince Wanyan, who followed behind, secretly felt fortunate. They too had initially wanted to show their skills, but Li Tianyi and Huang Yidao got ahead of them. Seeing the Bloody Monk’s strength just now, they both felt a bit anxious inside. Li Tianyi and Huang Yidao’s abilities were similar to their own; had they gone against the Bloody Monk, the result wouldn’t have been much different. As they say, ”the bird that sticks its neck out gets shot,” and their restraint this time saved them face.

Of course, the two were incredibly shaken: the Bloody Monk’s prowess was formidable beyond measure!

When those two were knocked down, Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun had also just arrived. He immediately stepped forward to shield the two, preventing further attacks from the Bloody Monk.

The Bloody Monk had no intention of pursuing, only cast a cold glance at them and said, ”Shen, when choosing a son-in-law, you should see clearly, don’t pick those who are just pretentious to become your son-in-law.”

The Bloody Monk’s words were a taunt aimed at Li Tianyi and Huang Yidao’s lack of strength, and their faces flushed with shame, unable to refute. Beside them, Northern Martial Zen and Prince Wanyan also felt embarrassed, as their strength wasn’t much different from Li Tianyi and Huang Yidao’s.

Shen Tianjun did not respond to the Bloody Monk’s remark, but instead looked at Shen Qianyue and Shen Baichuan, who were placed off to the side by the Bloody Monk, slightly furrowing his eyebrows, and said, ”Shen Family Manor has long had no grudges with Sha Men. I don’t understand what these two juniors have done to offend the Sect Leader, that you would harm them like this. If there’s anything amiss, the Sect Leader may feel free to mention it, and Mr. Shen will not harbor anyone.”

”Rest assured, they haven’t offended me; this is a gift I’m presenting to you.” The Bloody Monk gave a cold smile and said, ”Shen, I understand how you and my senior brother schemed to stop me. However, I won’t hold it against you, and not only will I not hold a grudge, I plan to do you a great favor.”

”A great favor?” Shen Tianjun looked at Shen Qianyue and Shen Baichuan beside him and said, ”Is this what you mean by a great favor?”

”Of course!” the Bloody Monk laughed, ”If I hadn’t arrived in time today, your precious granddaughter might have faced misfortune!”

”What!?” Shen Tianjun’s expression finally changed as he stepped forward, asking in a stern voice, ”What’s happened to Qingyi?”

”She’s fine, doing well,” the Bloody Monk replied, clapping his hands. The car door opened, and Demon Queen He Qinghua stepped out, carrying someone on her back—Shen Qingyi—though Shen Qingyi remained unconscious.

The One-Eyed Man atop the mountain saw the situation and muttered in frustration, ”Damn, no wonder I couldn’t find her; she was kidnapped by that Blood-Robed Baldy. You’ve run fast, Blood-Robed Baldy!”

Ye Qing also saw the situation below, feeling bewildered. The feud between Sha Men and the Shen Family had been resolved previously; what was the Bloody Monk’s intention in capturing Shen Qingyi? Could it be that, with the Bloody Monk’s appearance, he plans to ignite the conflict between Sha Men and the Shen Family again?

”Qingyi!” Shen Tianjun’s complexion changed sharply, moving quickly toward Shen Qingyi; however, the Bloody Monk beat him to it, heading directly to Shen Qingyi’s side, placing one hand within a foot from her neck, and smiled, saying, ”Shen, I advise you not to be impulsive, don’t be so eager to come over.”
