Urban Martial Saint

As soon as Bei Shisan charged at Ye Qing, Ye Qing threw a punch directly at him.

Seeing the way Ye Qing punched, laughter erupted all around. In everyone’s eyes, Ye Qing’s punch was purely comical; even a thug wouldn’t use such a technique in a fight.

Bei Shisan’s face turned icy. He thought Ye Qing was mocking him, which naturally enraged him even more. His eyes flashed with icy glints, and he increased the power in his fists, wishing he could just kill Ye Qing.

When Ye Qing’s punch was halfway out, he suddenly took a small step forward, causing a small change in the punch’s momentum. And then, the most amazing thing happened at that moment. Due to this step, the punch suddenly changed at an extremely tricky angle, hitting Bei Shisan right in the face. Surprisingly, Bei Shisan missed with both his fists, hitting nothing at all.

The crowd was astonished, including Bei Shisan, whose eyes were almost popping out.

After being knocked back by Ye Qing earlier, he was already quite embarrassed. Now, with Ye Qing punching him in the face, his dignity was completely gone. The worst part was, he didn’t even know how he got hit by that punch. In his mind, Ye Qing’s strength was far inferior to his. He thought he could defeat Ye Qing with one hand tied behind his back. Yet, it was this Ye Qing, who was supposedly less skilled, who managed to hit him twice in succession. How could he accept that?

”Ah!” Bei Shisan roared again and charged forward, ready to fight Ye Qing again.

But as expected, the results were predictable. Once Ye Qing applied those stepping techniques in combat, the effect was excellent. Just like when Li Bing’en fought Lu Zian earlier, no matter how Ye Qing attacked, as long as he used these stepping techniques, he could transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, making his attacks extremely tricky and strange. He could always evade Bei Shisan’s strikes and counterattack him effectively.

At first, Ye Qing was quite unskilled in using these stepping techniques, as he had never deployed them in real combat before. Besides, he was not very proficient with them himself, being only familiar with two or three steps. However, those two or three steps were more than sufficient. After fighting Bei Shisan for a while, his mastery of the stepping techniques became more refined, eventually executing them effortlessly, leaving Bei Shisan unable to counter.

In less than ten minutes, Bei Shisan had been hit by Ye Qing over ten times. Fortunately, his strength was immense with impressive inner strength. Although he was struck more than ten times by Ye Qing, he wasn’t seriously injured, just extremely embarrassed.

The more Bei Shisan fought, the angrier he became, nearly to the point of madness. However, he couldn’t do anything to Ye Qing. After battling for slightly over ten minutes, he didn’t gain any advantage, and Ye Qing managed to hook his leg, causing him to stumble to the ground, leaving him utterly bewildered.

Ye Qing didn’t press the attack but instead was still immersed in using those stepping techniques, feeling both excited and surprised.

Bei Shisan’s fellow senior brothers were also bewildered. Just a moment ago, Ye Qing was clearly at a disadvantage; how did he suddenly gain the upper hand and defeat Bei Shisan?

”Hahaha...” A sudden loud laugh broke the silence. The young man who had been watching from the side walked out, laughing loudly and said, ”What great skills, Ye Brothers indeed have excellent skills!”

Seeing this young man approach, Bei Shisan’s group of senior brothers quickly rushed over to assist Bei Shisan up.

”Let go of me!” Bei Shisan pushed them away, gritting his teeth as he looked at Ye Qing, and said in a deep voice, ”Ye, you are clearly not as good as me. How is it possible? How could you defeat me?”

”Hahaha...” Before Ye Qing could respond, the young man laughed loudly again and said, ”Bei Shisan, what you said is really amusing. The man already defeated you, yet you claim he’s not as good as you? Don’t you find that ridiculous?”

Bei Shisan glared at the young man resentfully and said through gritted teeth, ”Ye, this fight doesn’t count. I will certainly have another match with you!”

”Hmph, your senior brother Ao Yangrong has already lost one match, and now you’ve lost another. Isn’t that enough?” The young man laughed again and said, ”Are all the disciples of Northern Martial Zen planning to come out one by one to embarrass themselves?”

”My matters with him have nothing to do with you!” Bei Shisan glared at the young man angrily, saying in a deep voice, ”If you’re unhappy with it, you’re welcome to have a match with me to see who wins and who loses!”

”Of course, there’s no problem with fighting, but certainly not today.” The young man glanced up and down at Bei Shisan and said, ”The way you look right now, you’re in no condition to have a match with me. You’d better go back and clean yourself up before you come again.”

Bei Shisan wanted to speak again, but his fellow senior brothers stopped him. Bei Shisan didn’t know what his senior brothers told him, but he glared at Ye Qing with resentment and said in a deep voice, ”Ye, as the mountains won’t turn and the rivers won’t change, let’s see how things go!”

After speaking, Bei Shisan directly led his fellow senior brothers away. But the young man did not leave; he stood excitedly beside Ye Qing and said, ”Ye Brothers, I didn’t expect your strength to be this formidable. This Bei Shisan is North Martial Zen’s most beloved son. As far as I know, North Martial Zen not only imparted all his martial arts on him but also sought out various rare medicines worldwide to refine his body and enhance his inner strength. Otherwise, with his talent alone, could he have this strength today?”

Ye Qing had previously been curious about why this Bei Shisan, although Ao Yangrong’s junior, was much stronger than Ao Yangrong. Upon hearing the young man’s explanation, Ye Qing suddenly understood that Bei Shisan was purely elevated to this level by North Martial Zen’s use of drugs.

”So that’s it!” Ye Qing nodded slowly, simultaneously glancing at the young man curiously and asked, ”By the way, how should I address this brother?”

”Hehe...” The young man chuckled lightly and said, ”My surname is Zhang!”

”So it’s Brother Zhang.” Ye Qing nodded and said, ”Sorry, I have some business to attend to at the Shen Family Manor.”

”I know!” The young man laughed and said, ”You’re taking this road, so you must be heading to the Shen Family Manor. However, Ye brother, let me advise you, you may not be able to reach the Shen Family Manor right now.”

”Why do you say that?” Ye Qing asked in surprise.

The young man said, ”Although Bei Shisan was defeated, do you think with your level of skill, you can take on Northern Martial Zen?”

”Northern Martial Zen?” Ye Qing frowned and said grimly, ”Is Northern Martial Zen also here?”

”Of course!” The young man said, ”Otherwise, why would Bei Shisan dare to be so arrogant here? If I’m not mistaken, Bei Shisan will definitely seek out Northern Martial Zen to deal with you after suffering a loss at your hands. Ye brother, you are the successor of the Northern Fist King, Third Master Li, and you’ve stirred up quite a scene in Liaoshen City, ruining Northern Martial Zen’s plans. Do you think Northern Martial Zen will let you off?”

Ye Qing took a deep breath. Although he had never met Northern Martial Zen, the grudge between them was already there. Unexpectedly, fate would have them meet so quickly in Xi Hang.

”This is the Shen Family Manor’s territory. Even if Northern Martial Zen wants to do something here, he must think twice, right?” Ye Qing said.

”Ye brother, if that’s what you think, then so be it.” The young man smiled faintly and said, ”In any case, this is between you and Northern Martial Zen, and I’m just giving a friendly reminder. Ye brother, since you have urgent matters, I won’t waste your time any longer. We shall meet again if fate allows!”

The young man finished speaking, turned around, and left with his group.

Over here, Ye Qing frowned. The young man’s words caused a ripple in his heart.

If Northern Martial Zen was also here, it might really not be easy for Ye Qing to head to the Shen Family Manor. Bei Shisan dared to intercept Ye Qing on the road, so who knows what more outrageous actions Northern Martial Zen might take?

After some thought, Ye Qing decided to take a detour and head to the Shen Family Manor via another small path. This way, he could avoid the main road and likely steer clear of Northern Martial Zen as well.

On the other side, the young man actually hadn’t gone far and was secretly observing Ye Qing from a distance. Seeing Ye Qing take a different path, a cold smile crossed his lips.

”They all say those with the Ye surname are meticulous and thorough in their actions, and it seems to be true.” The young man coldly laughed and said, ”But no matter how thoroughly you plan, what difference does it make? Take the main road, and you’ll encounter Northern Martial Zen. Take the small path, and you’ll encounter me. No matter which path, it’s a dead end, the only difference being who kills you. I said all this to you just to make you take my path. Didn’t expect you to oblige, haha...”

”Young Master, will we have time to set up an ambush now?” a person beside him asked in a low voice.

”Have you gone stupid?” The young man glared at him and said, ”The Ye-named one could easily defeat Bei Shisan, we’re certainly not his match. Besides, there’s a fool in the car, what good is it if we stop him?”

”Then what should we do?”

”Contact my father, tell him Ye Qing has arrived here.” The young man paused and said solemnly, ”Remember, we absolutely cannot let Northern Martial Zen know about this.”

”Yes!” The person beside him responded and went to handle the matter immediately.

Watching Ye Qing already disappear down the small path, a cold smile crossed the young man’s lips, and he softly said, ”This time, I not only want to take back our family’s belongings, but I also want to get that bizarre stepping technique from you. Ye named one, I won’t let you die that easily!”

Not long after, the person beside him returned and said, ”Young Master, we’ve already contacted the Master, and he’s on his way to intercept the Ye-named one. Northern Martial Zen has also set out, likely having received news from Bei Shisan, to deal with Ye Qing.”

”Good!” The young man laughed heartily and said, ”Let’s go, and intercept the Ye-named one on the small path. This time, I’ll make Northern Martial Zen wait there until he gets moldy!”

The person beside him immediately complimented, ”Young Master’s strategy is exceptional, even this Ye-named one was tricked into going in circles. As for Northern Martial Zen, he probably never dreamed that we’ve already made Ye Qing change his path!”
