Urban Martial Saint

Black Bear’s few subordinates had been with him for quite some time, understanding his character. They did not hesitate and hastily started the vehicles.

Several police officers outside noticed the cars inside starting up and shot even faster, shattering the surrounding car windows. The driver sitting in the front had to duck down to avoid these bullets.

Seeing such a situation, Black Bear dared not be careless. He quietly crept behind the officers along the flower bed. Suddenly, with a loud roar, he pounced out of the flower bed like a raging bull, directly charging toward two of the officers.

When he was still two meters away from the two officers, Black Bear suddenly crouched. Just as he was about to reach them, he abruptly straightened, his whole body snapping back like a taut bow suddenly released. The force of the bow, combined with the impact, slammed into the two officers.

These two officers were not thin or weak, one of them was a two-hundred-pound fat man. However, being hit by Black Bear was like being struck by a truck; they were both sent flying and slammed into the nearby courtyard wall, which crumbled under the impact, leaving them collapsed on the ground, unable to even stand.

Bajiquan, Stick to the Mountain!

Black Bear hadn’t practiced Bajiquan for long, but this move, ”Stick to the Mountain,” had been mastered to perfection. Although there was no Inner Strength supporting it, his body was like an iron tower, powerful and sturdy, the gathered force impacting anyone he struck with terrifying power. And so, these two officers lost their combat ability at once, their guns flying from their hands.

There were two more officers nearby. Upon seeing this, they quickly turned their guns towards Black Bear and fired a few shots. Nevertheless, Black Bear, with his Special Forces background, made it nearly impossible for these officers, who usually lived indulgently and barely practiced their Marksmanship, to hit him.

Black Bear rolled on the ground, dodging the officers’ bullets, leaped forward, sending one flying, while grabbing the wrist of the second officer, wrenching it dislocatingly. Black Bear didn’t hold back, punching this officer in the face, making him howl in pain on the ground.

With these four officers taken out, Black Bear’s subordinates drove the cars out of the compound. Outside, a few thugs suddenly started their cars and chased after them.

”Damn!” Black Bear slapped his head; he had intended to attract these people and keep them here. However, unexpectedly, they all went after Ding San, leaving hardly anyone on his side.

A dozen thugs wielding machetes surrounded him at the gate. Yet, seeing Black Bear’s towering stature, they were uneasily hesitant, despite their overwhelming numbers, no one dared make the first move.

Black Bear glanced at them, turned, and strode out.

”Don’t let him escape!” A head poked out from a window upstairs—it was Wu Tiande.

This guy had been beaten terribly by Black Bear, and to still have the energy to yell was indeed astonishing.

Hearing his words, the thugs below hesitated. They didn’t want Black Bear to escape, but who dared to step forward?

Seeing the situation below, Wu Tiande knew the thugs were afraid of Black Bear, so he shouted, ”Anyone who stops him, gets ten thousand. Who injures him, gets a hundred thousand. Kill him, one million. Capture him, three million!”

A hefty reward induces courage. Hearing Wu Tiande’s words, excitement lit up among the thugs. Someone unknown took the lead, and with a rallying cry, they wielded machetes charging towards Black Bear.

Previously, Black Bear alone would have found facing such a crowd challenging. However, thanks to Ye Qing’s special Bajiquan training, his combat skills had improved significantly, facing these people without worry.

Seeing the first person nearly upon him, Black Bear stepped forward as if running towards the machete. But just as the machete neared him, he reached out and caught the blade directly.

The thug had thought that this strike would wound Black Bear. Unexpectedly, Black Bear used just one hand to catch the blade, preventing it from advancing further.

The thug was stunned; there was a big difference between blocking a machete with a hand and catching the blade—requiring immense force, a slight slip could result in losing half a hand. But in Black Bear’s grip, the machete felt stuck in a stone crevice, unmoving.

Without hesitation, Black Bear punched him in the face, snatching the machete. What seemed sizable in the thug’s hand looked like a toy in Black Bear’s.

He hacked backhandedly at the shoulder of a man rushing from behind, nearly severing the shoulder—leaving the man writhing on the ground, crying in agony.

Two more rushed forward, attempting to sneak up on Black Bear. Yet his quick response had him turning rapidly, sweeping his machete, clashing it against theirs. The jarring impact loosened their grip, sending their machetes flying.

Without weapons, they panicked, intent on retreating. However, Black Bear gave no opportunity; he slashed at them, leaving them on the ground, screaming like the first.

Another group charged in, but Black Bear fearlessly weaved through them, machete in hand. In less than two minutes, three more were down, and his machete broke under the force of his onslaught.

Initially terrified, seeing Black Bear’s machete break revived their spirit, prompting another rush. But as expected, Black Bear seized another machete and continued the battle.

Meanwhile, Black Bear’s subordinates took Ding San and sped out of town. However, four or five cars persistently followed, leaving them no room to escape. After a half-hour chase, the roads worsened, becoming increasingly difficult.

The men Black Bear brought were unfamiliar with the roads around Tianhui City. In their nighttime, frantic escape, they’d veered off-course into the mountainous area. The path deteriorated, making it hard for cars to navigate.

In the car, panic spread as they considered turning back, but with enemy cars behind, they had no choice but to forge ahead.

After roughly two miles along the mountain road, they reached the summit. On the other side lay a deep valley, and every other direction was blocked.

Seeing the situation, those in the car exchanged glances. Finally, one slapped the car and said gravely, ”You take Ding San into the valley; I’ll drive them away!”

No hesitation lingered; they quietly lifted Ding San from the car and cautiously descended into the valley.

The remaining man in the car started the vehicle, steering it towards the pursuing cars.

Seeing this, the enemy cars accelerated, intent on stopping them.

This man, however, showed no intention of stopping—collision ensued. The four or five pursuing vehicles swarmed the car, ramming it to scrap before stopping.

The driver slumped over the steering wheel, nearly pulverized, meeting a gruesome fate.

”Damn, Ding San isn’t here, keep searching!” snarled the gang leader, seeing this.

The remaining thugs hastily reached the summit, scanning the valley spots, just catching sight of the group carrying Ding San cautiously down the slope.

”Don’t run!” the leader yelled, ”******, where are you escaping to! Stop now, or when I catch you, I’ll mince you into meat!”

Hearing this made them run faster, yet burdened by Ding San, escape was slow. The descent was unroaded, perilously steep. As they trod, one misstepped, sending them tumbling into the valley.

They managed to grab rocks or roots, struggling on the steep slope. But Ding San, too weak to grasp anything, tumbled down rapidly, vanishing from sight.

Black Bear’s subordinates exchanged glances; rescuing Ding San seemed impossible now. An ordinary person tumbling like this would likely die. Ding San’s severe injuries made survival seem even bleaker.

The pursuing thugs caught up. Seeing them approach rapidly, they knew capture was not an option.

In mutual understanding, they one by one turned to flee elsewhere. The valley bottom was too steep for further descent; escape elsewhere offered their only chance!
