Urban Martial Saint

The people inside the attic had no idea what had happened. Ding San walked over slowly and pushed the door. To his surprise, it wasn’t locked. Wu Tiande sure was bold. With so many enemies, he still dared to sleep without locking the door. It looked like he had full confidence in the two fighting dogs in the yard.

Ding San pushed the door open and entered the room, careful not to make too much noise. There were seven people in total living in Wu Tiande’s house. If he woke them all up, he surely wouldn’t be able to kill so many people by himself.

He carefully explored the first room. It was a storage room, and no one was inside. Ding San left the room and moved to the second one. In this room lay a middle-aged woman sleeping. Ding San looked closely; he recognized her—it was an old neighbor of his. He didn’t know how she ended up living here.

Ding San was a bit startled. This woman wasn’t part of Wu Tiande’s family, so he wouldn’t kill her. But he was worried she might wake up and ruin things. After hesitating for a moment, he decided to shake her awake.

The woman was still deep in sleep. When she was shaken awake suddenly, she was groggy and rubbed her eyes, mumbling, ”The medicine’s ready. It’s in the kitchen. You can drink it straight...”

She thought someone had come to remind her to work.

Ding San covered her mouth and spoke in a low voice, ”Big Sister-in-law, it’s me, Ding San!”

Hearing his name, the woman was instantly alarmed. She turned to look at Ding San, her face clearly showing her shock. If he hadn’t been covering her mouth, she probably would have screamed out loud.

”Big Sister-in-law, don’t panic. Don’t wake them up!” Ding San slowly loosened his hand. The woman indeed held back her scream.

”You… you… what are you doing here?” the woman asked in astonishment. ”And… what happened to your family? I heard… your wife, your parents...”

Ding San sighed deeply, slowly shaking his head. ”It’s true. They’re all gone.”

”What?” The woman’s eyes widened, and she whispered, ”That’s such a curse... How could such good people as your wife... how could they be gone just like that?”

”It’s that beast Wu Tiande’s doing!” Ding San gritted his teeth and growled, ”That’s why I came here—to avenge them. Big Sister-in-law, what are you doing here?”

”I’m working as a nanny...” The woman hesitated before saying, ”Ding San, please don’t do anything reckless. Wu Tiande is powerful and well-connected. If the police catch you, he’ll make sure you’re sentenced to death!”

”What do I have left to fear?” Ding San laughed bitterly. ”I came here prepared not to leave alive. Big Sister-in-law, tonight’s matter has nothing to do with you. Just pretend you didn’t see anything. Stay inside this room and don’t make things harder for me.”

”Ding San, are you really going to get revenge?” the woman urged. ”This is a death penalty crime!”

”I’ve already killed seven people. I’m doomed anyway. A few more won’t make a difference!” Ding San said in a low, determined voice. ”Big Sister-in-law, just don’t come out.”

”Fine… I… I won’t leave...” The woman was terrified by his words and didn’t dare to try persuading him any further.

”Now tell me, where’s that bastard Wu Tiande sleeping?” Ding San asked coldly.

”He... he’s likely not at home,” she replied. ”Wu Tiande has several mistresses outside. He rarely comes home at night. Brother, if you’re looking for him, maybe tonight isn’t the best time. What about coming back another day?”

”No need!” Ding San shook his head firmly. ”Since I came tonight, it doesn’t matter if he’s here or not—I’ll still make it count. He destroyed my family, and I’ll leave his in ruins! I want him to know the agony of losing his loved ones!”

When he said this, Ding San’s face twisted into a hideous grimace. His whole demeanor was like someone possessed. The woman beside him trembled all over, too scared to utter another word.

Ding San asked about the other residents’ rooms, then exited and began searching each one according to her directions.

The first place he found was Wu Tiande’s son’s room. This was a boy who had just started middle school. At school, he was a notorious bully who did all kinds of evil things. The room was filled with gym equipment, and even underneath the bed lay machetes and other weapons. But no matter how arrogant he had been at school, it meant nothing now.

Ding San covered the boy’s mouth and woke him up. He whispered into his ear, ”Wu Tiande killed my entire family. Now you’ll pay for what he’s done.”

The boy tried to struggle, but he was just a middle schooler. How could he overpower a grown man in his prime? Ding San’s knife slashed across his neck, and blood soaked the bed. The boy collapsed into a pool of blood and died instantly.

Afterward, Ding San went into several other rooms and killed Wu Tiande’s two daughters, his parents, and his wife, one after another. Only then did he stop. By now, Ding San’s entire body was drenched in blood. He looked like a murderous demon. His twisted expression made him seem even more terrifying.

As the saying goes, one’s appearance mirrors their heart. By now, Ding San’s heart was engulfed by a Heart Demon. The more he killed, the more consumed he was by bloodlust. The honest man he once was no longer existed—what remained was a vengeful killing machine living only for revenge!

Finishing off everyone in Wu Tiande’s house, Ding San didn’t linger. He asked the woman about the locations of Wu Tiande’s mistresses and immediately set out for their homes.

As he left Wu Tiande’s house, the wails of police sirens echoed across the town. The incident at the high school had already spread, and police were conducting a full investigation.

That Big Sister who had fallen from the building wasn’t killed instantly. She had struggled to utter Ding San’s name before dying. As news of Ding San spread, many people were deeply shocked. Especially those wealthy and powerful individuals who had been involved in the Ding Family case—they were now trembling with fear, worried that it might come back to haunt them.

Meanwhile, at one of Wu Tiande’s mistresses’ homes, Wu Tiande was lying in bed with her, completely unaware of the disaster that had already befallen his family. Suddenly, the phone by the bed rang, waking him up.

Wu Tiande picked up the phone, irritated. ”Who the hell is calling at this hour? Can’t I get some sleep?”

”It’s me, Old Lin,” a low voice came from the other end of the call. It was Lin Yong, the local police chief.

”Old Lin? What’s the matter?” Wu Tiande asked, confused. He and Lin Yong were on good terms. For Lin Yong to call now, something big must have happened.

Lin Yong spoke gravely, ”Ding San just attacked your house. Everyone in your family—except for the nanny—has been killed!”

”What?!” Wu Tiande leapt out of bed, shouting into the phone, ”What… what about my kids?”

”They’re all dead,” Lin Yong replied solemnly.

”That son of a ****!” Wu Tiande roared into the phone. ”Ding San, that bastard! How dare he? He actually touched my family! I’ll kill him—I’ll kill that bastard and his entire lineage!”

”Old Wu, calm down!” Lin Yong said in a serious tone. ”It’s clear Ding San is out for revenge. You need to be careful. He’s already killed seven people at the high school and your entire family tonight. That’s thirteen people in total. He’s become incredibly dangerous!”

”What?!” Wu Tiande was dumbfounded. His earlier rage turned into terror. When he didn’t know how many people Ding San had killed, he wasn’t scared. But now, hearing the number ”thirteen,” he was paralyzed with fear. Thirteen murders—it was like facing a demon. How could he dare provoke such a person?

”How… how could this happen?” Wu Tiande stammered, his voice trembling. ”Wasn’t Ding San just a farmer? How could he be this vicious? My kids were still so young. How could he bring himself to do this? My parents were so old. How could he kill them too?”

”Old Wu, don’t delude yourself. Have you forgotten how Ding San’s parents and daughter died?” Lin Yong said grimly. ”I’m telling you now, Ding San won’t stop until this is over. This matter must be resolved quickly, or none of us will have peace!”

”What… what should I do?” Wu Tiande asked, his voice trembling. He was completely shaken.

”Where are you right now?” Lin Yong asked. ”Ding San got your mistresses’ addresses from the nanny. I think he’s coming for you now!”

”What?” Wu Tiande shouted in panic. ”Then… then I’ll just run away!”

”Where could you run to? He might be right around the corner. If you run into him, you’re dead for sure!” Lin Yong warned. ”Don’t worry. Just tell me where you are, and I’ll send people to protect you. When Ding San gets there, we’ll deal with him once and for all to end this nightmare. Otherwise, you can’t keep running forever!”

”Yes, yes! Lure him in! Lure him in!” Wu Tiande exclaimed, thrilled. ”Kill him! Kill him, and everything will be fine! Just kill him!”

”So, where exactly are you?” Lin Yong asked impatiently. Wu Tiande had been so flustered that he hadn’t provided the crucial information.

Finally coming to his senses, Wu Tiande quickly gave Lin Yong his location. Lin Yong didn’t hesitate and immediately sent officers to the address.

At that moment, Ding San was still on his way. He had to avoid the police along the way, so he moved carefully and slowly. By the time he reached the house, it was already after 2 a.m.

Gripping his dagger tightly, Ding San climbed over the wall under the cover of darkness. As he took a few steps into the yard, a chilling voice suddenly rang out from the side: ”Don’t move! One more step, and I’ll shoot!”

Ding San froze for a moment and turned to look. In that instant, two figures lunged at him, knocking him to the ground.

Ding San struggled desperately, but he was no match for them. The two men pinned him down, and then several others rushed over to restrain him. Ding San fought with all his might, but he couldn’t break free. He was overpowered, completely immobilized on the ground with no strength left to resist.
