I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 394: Chapter 352: Boss, I’ll Get You a Kind of Fruit Tree

After finishing their leisurely meal, they were all quite satisfied.

After resting for a bit, Chu Yiwei said her goodbyes and headed back to school.

She had class in the afternoon.

Xia Xiaoyue and Mu Qingye also planned to head back to school.

”Boss, we’re heading back to school too. We’ll be back in a few days.”

”Alright. Drive safe.”

”Okay!”

After the two of them left, Ling Xiaoru headed back as well.

She had to get back to work.

A few customers were still eating in the restaurant, but all their dishes had been served. Li You wasn’t busy for the moment, so he sat on the rocking chair at the entrance, playing on his phone.

Just then, three cars pulled into the parking lot one after another.

One person got out of each car.

They were together. It was the three men in the fruit business whom Duan Canghong had treated with takeout from this very place: Liu Hong, Wang Zhongyu, and Cai Qingfeng.

Ever since leaving Duan Canghong’s house after that meal, they had been dying to come here and eat in person.

Today, all three of them finally had free time, so they’d arranged to come together.

’That must be the restaurant up ahead. It looks like a very ordinary place. It isn’t high-end or grand, nor is it lavishly decorated. But it blends in perfectly with its surroundings.’

’It’s as if it was born from the wilderness, yet also hidden within it, giving off a very pleasant feeling.’

’Let’s go take a look.’

The three men slowly approached. A young man was sitting on a rocking chair in front of the restaurant.

’Boss Duan did say that the owner, Boss Li You, was a young man. That must be him, the one on the rocking chair.’

’So relaxed and content. It’s strangely enviable.’

Li You also saw the three men walking over. ’They’re new faces. Must be their first time here.’

’This happens all the time.’

Li You stood up, took a few steps forward, and said, ”Welcome! It’s a pleasure to meet you three.”

All three men nodded in response.

Then, Liu Hong asked, ”Excuse me, are you Boss Li You?”

’They know my name, so someone must have referred them.’

With this thought, Li You smiled faintly and said, ”I am Li You. A warm welcome to you all!”

’It really is him. And he’s so young.’

Liu Hong, Wang Zhongyu, and Cai Qingfeng all thought the same thing.

Then, Liu Hong added, ”You’re too kind, Boss Li You. We came here specifically because we tried the dishes Boss Duan brought back from your restaurant.”

Hearing this, Li You quickly understood who the three men were.

So these were the guests Duan Canghong had bought the food for. He smiled and said, ”Ah, so you were the guests at Uncle Duan’s place. I hope you were satisfied with the food?”

Liu Hong laughed heartily. ”Satisfied? That’s an understatement! It was simply the most exquisite food we’ve ever had. You may be young, Boss Li You, but your culinary skills are already at an incredible level. Truly amazing!”

Li You offered a few modest words, then asked, ”And how should I address you three?”

Liu Hong, Wang Zhongyu, and Cai Qingfeng introduced themselves in turn.

Li You said, ”So it’s Boss Liu, Boss Wang, and Boss Cai. Please, come on in!”

”You’re too kind, Boss Li You,” all three men said.

They then walked into the restaurant. After finding a table and sitting down, they began to order.

’What kind of dish is Nine-Turned Pork Intestines? Never mind, let’s just order it. We’ll find out when it arrives.’

’We’ll also have the Steamed Mandarin Fish, Chopped Pepper Fish Head, Mapo Tofu, Longjing Shrimp, and a Tomato and Egg Soup.’

’That should be enough for now. And then... there’s the most important part: the wine.’

’Duan Canghong said the wine here is the best in the world, and that you can only drink it in the restaurant—no takeout.’

For the past few days, they had been wondering just how good the wine here could possibly be.

So today, they were definitely going to have some.

Even though they had all driven, it didn’t matter. They could just stay the night in Wenxian Town and leave tomorrow.

They’d each start with one bowl.

Soon, the wine was brought to their table. The rich, mellow aroma instantly excited the three men.

’This really is good wine!’

They hurriedly took a sip. With that one taste, the question that had been on their minds was finally answered.

The answer was more thrilling than they could have ever imagined.

’It’s so good you can’t even describe it. I can’t believe wine this delicious actually exists!’

’Calling it the best wine in the world is no exaggeration at all.’

Perhaps that was an absolute statement, but all three were more than willing to believe that this was, indeed, the finest wine in the world.

To have drunk such a vintage... when it came to wine, they could die with no regrets.

’Drink, drink, drink!’

Before a single dish had even been served, the three of them drank sip after sip, completely unable to stop.

In the end, before a single dish had arrived, all three of them had finished the wine in their bowls.

’The bowl looked pretty big, but it goes down way too fast!’

’Another bowl!’

Soon, another three bowls of wine were brought over.

At that moment, the first dish, the Nine-Turned Pork Intestines, finally arrived.

’Fine wine and fine food. This is perfect. It’ll make drinking the wine even more satisfying.’

’It’s just that this Nine-Turned Pork Intestines looks a bit strange. It’s not only reddish-brown, but it’s also cut into sections.’

’I’ve never seen anything like it before.’

’It looks pretty tasty, though.’

’Let’s try a piece.’

The three men all picked up their chopsticks, each taking a piece and putting it in his mouth. It was incredibly soft, tender, and smooth. All five flavors were present—sour, sweet, fragrant, spicy, and salty. It was indeed delicious.

”I’ve never seen pork intestines prepared like this before. The taste is also completely new to me. But it’s truly delicious, and the aftertaste is amazing,” said Cai Qingfeng.

Liu Hong and Wang Zhongyu both nodded, completely agreeing with him.
