I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 369: Chapter 336: New Guests from Shan Province

Afterward, Li You returned to the table where Ling Xiaoru and Chu Yiwei were sitting.

A little while later, Lin Dequan, Du Fei, and Tang Ning, along with Lu Xiangyun and the two guests from the neighboring table, all came over with their drinks.

They had come to propose a toast in return, to Li You, Ling Xiaoru, and Chu Yiwei.

Seeing this, Ling Xiaoru and Chu Yiwei each poured themselves a little bit of wine as well.

After a lively round of pleasantries, Lin Dequan, Du Fei, Tang Ning, Lu Xiangyun, and the others returned to their seats.

They continued to eat and drink.

”By the way, my friend,” Lin Dequan said to the guest from the next table, ”you mentioned earlier that when Master Guyi came here, he didn’t just say the wine was heavenly. Is there another story behind it? Could you tell us?”

”Of course!” The guest was more than happy to oblige. ”Then let me tell you all about Master Guyi’s visit. The story goes that on a very busy afternoon, a seemingly ordinary old man walked into the shop...”

Lin Dequan, Du Fei, Liu Yu, Tang Ning, and the others all listened with great interest.

The more they listened, the more they realized just how many stories this restaurant held.

This restaurant was destined to be one of a kind...

...

Time slowly passed. By three in the afternoon, the table with Lin Dequan, Du Fei, Tang Ning, and Lu Xiangyun had finally finished their meal.

They had ordered more dishes and drinks several times throughout their meal. The final bill came to 2,456 yuan, which was rounded down to 2,400 yuan.

Split evenly among the eight of them—Lin Dequan, Du Fei, Tang Ning, and the others—it came out to exactly 300 yuan per person.

It seemed a bit steep, but it was worth it. Absolutely worth it. They didn’t regret spending a single yuan.

Lu Xiangyun and the guests from the next table said their goodbyes and left.

Lin Dequan, Du Fei, and Tang Ning’s group went back to the gorge.

First a delicious meal and fine wine, then a beautiful view. This was the purest enjoyment life had to offer.

They stayed until six in the evening before returning to the restaurant. Then, each of them ordered a large bowl of beef noodle soup.

Lu Xiangyun had told them that the noodle dishes here were also top-tier delicacies. They absolutely had to try them.

It was the perfect time for another meal.

When the bowls were placed on the table and they took their first taste, they were once again astounded.

Lu Xiangyun was right. The noodle dishes here were indeed delicacies of the highest quality.

Boss Li You’s noodle-making skills were simply divine.

’Freaking incredible!’

After slowly finishing their meal, it was time to head back.

But they couldn’t go back empty-handed. Each person ordered half a braised chicken to go.

They wanted their families to taste the incredible food here, too. Next time, they would all come back together.

And for those who lived alone, they could pack it up and eat it tomorrow.

Soon, everyone had their packaged half-chicken.

After settling the bill, they left, completely satisfied, with their braised chickens in hand.

Their trip to Jiulong Gorge today had been full of too many surprises and too much excitement. When they got back, they would definitely have to brag to everyone about this magical journey.

...

Li You took about thirty of the mountain crabs he had caught that morning from his Spatial Fish Pond. He handed them to Da Bai and Xiaohai, telling them to kill and clean the crabs.

The shells, gills, and the tips of the legs all had to be removed and cleaned thoroughly.

He had caught over a hundred mountain crabs in total that day, but that was too many for one meal. Thirty or so would be more than enough.

After all, there would be other dishes.

Soon, Da Bai and Xiaohai had killed and cleaned the crabs.

All Li You had to do was start cooking them later.

Time passed slowly. At eight in the evening, Li You began to cook the mountain crabs.

He was making a spicy version.

He heated up a generous amount of oil in a wok. When the oil was about seventy percent hot, he dropped in the cleaned crabs to deep-fry them.

Once they were golden brown, he took them out and set them aside.

Leaving a small amount of oil in the wok, he added red chili oil, Sichuan peppercorn oil, scallion segments, minced garlic, and sliced millet-peppers, then stir-fried them.

Once the mixture was fragrant, he poured in the fried crabs and continued to stir-fry.

After stir-frying for a while, he seasoned them with an appropriate amount of salt, white sugar, and cooking wine.

He kept stir-frying. Finally, he added more scallion segments before taking everything out of the wok and plating it.

The spicy mountain crabs, perfect in color, aroma, and taste, were complete.

It looked incredibly appetizing and smelled fragrant. It was sure to taste even better.

Looking at the spicy mountain crabs on the plate, Li You was very satisfied.

Even without a relevant recipe from the system, he could still make them delicious.

Of course, if the system had dropped a recipe, they would have been even more delicious.

He just needed to make a few more dishes, and then, after all the customers had left, he could start dinner.

Tonight, he was treating Ling Xiaoru and Chu Yiwei.

Before long, all the customers had finished eating and left, and Li You had finished cooking all the dishes.

He closed up the shop. It was time to eat.

「On the second floor.」

When Ling Xiaoru and Chu Yiwei saw the spicy mountain crabs, their eyes lit up.

”Boss, that looks delicious!” they both said.

Li You smiled. ”It tastes delicious, too. Try some.”

”Okay!”

They both picked one up with their chopsticks.

Or to be precise, half of one.

They popped it into their mouths and chewed. It was crispy, savory, and fresh. The flavor was excellent.

Ling Xiaoru said joyfully, ”This is really, really good. I never knew mountain crabs could be so delicious.”

Chu Yiwei added, ”We always thought mountain crabs had hard shells and little meat, so they weren’t worth eating. Turns out we just didn’t know how to cook them. This is so fragrant. I think it’s even better than mitten crabs.”

Seeing them eating so happily made Li You very happy as well. He smiled and said, ”If you like it, have some more.”

”Okay!”

After eating a few more, they found the flavor growing on them. Ling Xiaoru asked again, ”Boss, when are we going to catch more?”

Li You nodded. ”Sure! Anytime. Besides, we haven’t even finished the ones we caught today. This is less than a third of them.”
