I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 378: Chapter 340: I’m Here to Get Some Dishes To Go

He hadn’t gone far before he ran into several more villagers.

Li Donghai stopped the three-wheeler again...

...

「Jiulong Gorge.」

「3:00 PM.」

By now, there were no more customers eating, and Li You could finally enjoy some downtime.

’Time to play some arcade games.’

Aside from Li You, two other customers were also playing.

Li You decided to play a game called *Electro-Spirit*. He had vivid memories of it.

Back then, he always liked to pick the robot.

That was because the robot had an invincibility move. After dashing, you could press the A and B buttons twice in quick succession to become invincible—or invisible, so to speak.

In this state, enemies couldn’t hit you, but you could still hit them.

With the robot, you could make a single coin last a very long time.

This time, however, he wasn’t going to use the robot. He’d pick the male character instead.

Playing as the robot was ultimately less fun, after all.

Speaking of *Electro-Spirit*, you had to mention *Electric God Demon*. The two games were related, yet distinct.

To put it simply, *Electro-Spirit* was the three-player version from the SFC platform, while *Electric Divine Demon Puppet* was the six-player version from the arcades.

The arcade game *Electric Divine Demon Puppet* came first. It was then ported to the SFC platform and renamed *Electro-Spirit*.

So, technically, *Electro-Spirit* wasn’t an arcade game. ℓ.

The reason you could play *Electro-Spirit* in arcades was because it was ported back to the arcade platform, but without authorization.

In other words, the arcade version of *Electro-Spirit* was actually an unlicensed bootleg.

Players didn’t care about any of that, though. Bootleg or not, all that mattered was that it was fun.

As Li You was playing, a voice reached his ears. ”Hey, Boss, when did you get all these game machines?”

Li You recognized the voice. It belonged to Duan Canghong, a relative of Lin Guodong’s.

Duan Canghong lived in Changhe Village of Qingshui Town. He was the one who had sold Li You the Fire Dragon Fruit Tree Seedlings for the Hundred Fruit Garden.

Li You turned and, sure enough, saw Duan Canghong standing behind him. He immediately said, ”Uncle Duan, you’re here. These game machines arrived a day or two after you delivered the Fire Dragon Fruit Tree Seedlings last time.”

Duan Canghong smiled. ”I see. With these game machines, the place feels even more lively.”

Li You nodded. ”It certainly does. By the way, Uncle Duan, was there something you needed from me?”

Duan Canghong replied, ”Oh, it’s not a big deal. I just came over to order some dishes for takeout. A few major clients came by this afternoon and bought out the entire stock of Dragon Fruit from my farm! For at least the next year, I won’t have to worry about sales at all. So, I came to get some of your food to treat them to dinner tonight. They initially refused, saying they were afraid it’d be dark by the time they finished, making the roads difficult to travel. But I told them if they stayed to eat, they would taste a delicacy the likes of which they’ve never experienced. They were half-convinced, but ultimately decided to stay for dinner before heading out.”

’So that’s what this is about.’

Li You smiled. He first congratulated Duan Canghong, ”Uncle Duan, congratulations! With a stable sales channel secured, you can start thinking about expanding with more confidence.”

Duan Canghong laughed. ”That’s exactly right.”

Li You then asked, ”So, what dishes would you like? I’ll go prepare them for you right away.”

Duan Canghong listed his order, ”Five pounds of spicy crayfish, an order of Mapo Tofu, one Chopped Pepper Fish Head, an order of Twice-cooked Pork with Garlic Sprouts, Stir-fried Shredded Potatoes, and Longjing Shrimp. Also, slice up one whole braised chicken and give me thirty braised chicken feet.”

Li You nodded. ”Alright, no problem.”
