I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 362: Chapter 334: The Best Wine in the World? Isn’t That an Exaggeration?

Puzzled, Lin Dequan asked, ”So where is that restaurant?”

Li You said, ”It’s right at the entrance to Jiulong Gorge. It’s called the Mountain Restaurant. I wonder if you saw it when you came in?”

The Mountain Restaurant at the entrance to the gorge?

Lin Dequan, Tang Ning, and everyone else were utterly astonished.

So that restaurant was opened by this handsome young man.

They never expected the owner to be such a young, handsome man.

The group was once again surprised.

Then, Lin Dequan said, ”We saw it, and we even talked about it. To be honest, we were all wondering... not many people come here to visit. You could even say it’s very few. So why is there such a big restaurant open there? Could it be that there are usually a lot of visitors, and today just happens to be a slow day?”

Li You smiled. ”No, there really aren’t many people who visit. While the scenery here is beautiful, it’s ultimately a bit too far from the city.”

Lin Dequan asked doubtfully, ”Then why would you open such a big restaurant there? Can you even get any business?”

”Well...” Li You said, ”you could come by the restaurant around noon. You’ll find your answer then. And you can grab a bite to eat while you’re at it.”

’Is this young owner trying to drum up business for himself?’

Lin Dequan, Tang Ning, and the others couldn’t help but smile.

Still, having lunch there was certainly an option. Although they had brought their own dry rations, eating at a proper restaurant was definitely more comfortable.

So, Lin Dequan nodded. ”Alright, then. We’ll come for lunch.”

Li You smiled. ”You’re more than welcome!”

Lin Dequan said, ”You’re too kind, Boss. Well, we won’t disturb you three any longer. We’re going to go look around some other places.”

Li You nodded. ”Hope you have a good time.”

”Thanks!”

Lin Dequan, Tang Ning, and the others took their leave.

The gorge was long and wide. While watching people catch crabs was interesting, they also wanted to see what else the area had to offer.

Li You, Ling Xiaoru, and Chu Yiwei continued catching crabs.

By 11 AM, their crab harvest had exceeded 100.

That was more than enough.

It was time to head back.

The three of them walked to the edge of the shallows, sat on some rocks to wash their feet, and put their shoes and socks back on.

Seeing the bucket full of crabs, all three were overjoyed.

Even though Ling Xiaoru and Chu Yiwei had only contributed about ten crabs between the two of them, it didn’t diminish their cheerful mood in the slightest.

The only slight regret was that they hadn’t caught any particularly large crabs this time.

Just last night, the two of them had said they would try to catch another crab as big as the ”big guy.”

But that was clearly getting a little ahead of themselves.

Among the crabs they caught today, the largest one was only about a third of the big guy’s size.

The two of them felt a little disappointed.

Li You chuckled. ”That’s perfectly normal. Crabs as big as the big guy... there might only be a few in this entire gorge. A catch like that is a rare find. The chances of catching another one that big are extremely slim.”

Ling Xiaoru and Chu Yiwei both nodded. They knew that, of course, but they still felt it was a pity.

Of course, overall, they were very happy and excited. They both said that catching crabs was not only fun but also a great way to satisfy their appetites. They asked Li You if they could come back to catch more again after some time.

Li You said it was no problem.

This made Ling Xiaoru and Chu Yiwei even happier.

Now, it was time to return to the restaurant. Li You carried the bucket as the three of them chatted and laughed all the way back to the restaurant’s entrance.

”Boss, you’re back! How’d it go? How many did you catch?”

Several customers were waiting by the door. They all came over and called out their questions.

The customers had come for a meal, and through Da Bai and Xiaohai, they learned that Li You, Ling Xiaoru, and Chu Yiwei had gone to the gorge to catch crabs and hadn’t returned yet.

They weren’t back yet, but the customers figured they should be returning soon.

So, the customers waited out front, chatting among themselves.

And sure enough, they soon saw Li You, Ling Xiaoru, and Chu Yiwei returning.

All the customers rushed up to greet them, extremely curious to see what the trio’s haul was.

Soon, they saw it: an almost full bucket.

’What a great haul! There must be at least a hundred in there.’

’The crab population in the gorge really is rich.’

They looked at the size—all of them were quite decent. No small ones.

’He probably threw the small ones back.’

”What about the biggest one? Boss, how big is the biggest one?” a customer asked.

The other customers were very interested in this as well.

Everyone knew that Li You had caught an enormous mountain crab a few days ago.

So what about today? How big was the largest one?

Li You brought a large basin from the kitchen and poured all the crabs into it.

Now everyone could see them more clearly. The biggest one was estimated to be about one-third the size of that giant crab.

The difference was pretty significant.

It seemed a crab that large truly was a rare, once-in-a-lifetime catch!

The customers sighed with emotion. Then, someone asked, ”Boss, did you catch all these crabs to eat?”

Li You nodded. ”That’s right!”

The customers’ eyes all lit up. Although these kinds of crabs had little meat and weren’t much of a meal, if the boss was the one cooking them, it might be a wonderful surprise.

So, someone else asked eagerly, ”Then are you going to sell them, Boss? Will you be adding a crab dish to the menu?”

Li You said, ”These mountain crabs really don’t have much meat. So, I won’t be selling them. We’re just going to cook them for ourselves. However, if everyone wants to eat crab here, I can see about adding a dish or two later on, using river crabs as the main ingredient.”

River crabs?
