Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 565: Chapter 343: What Are Your Plans This Time

Nanyang Prefecture, a private residence in South City, a valiant young girl was riding a horse, slinging a bow and arrows over her shoulder, and hurriedly dismounted.

Another slightly older girl rushed forward: ”Xiaomi, you finally came back, the results are posted today, big brother and the others have all gone.”

It was exactly for the courtyard examination that two months ago, once again from Xiangmu Village, the Jiang family party came to Nanyang Prefecture.

This courtyard was purchased in advance by Steward Wang, and this time it became a temporary residence for the group.

However, just as Xiaomi arrived in Nanyang Prefecture, she was taken away by Yingying, whom she met last year, and only returned today.

More than ten days ago, Jiang Yu and Liu Ze participated in the courtyard examination again. Since they were already here, Wei Ziang and Liu Ze went along with them.

Of course, the two had already taken the Tongsheng examination earlier in the summer in Cheng County, gaining the qualification to participate in the courtyard examination.

Although their mentor said they were too young and lacked a bit of skill, both still wanted to go to seize the experience.

After all, the next time they come to Nanyang Prefecture would probably be when Jiang Yu and Liu Ze participate in the provincial examination.

This time it’s to accumulate some experience, to see firsthand what the exam is like, and what kind of questions are asked.

Although they had heard Jiang Yu and Liu Ze talk about it before, the documents of the courtyard examination aren’t accessible to everyone, just hearing about it isn’t quite the same.

Because the two persisted, their mentor did not obstruct much further, directly giving them the exam permit.

”I’m sorry, second sister, we went too far away yesterday, and only got back at midnight, packed up, and then rushed back overnight.”

Xiaoxue also noticed the fatigue on Xiaomi’s face, her eyes were bloodshot, indicating she hadn’t rested at all last night.

”No worries, we might as well not go, they’ll be back soon, you should go take a rest first, by the way, where did this horse come from, how did you learn to ride?”

Jiang Xiaoxue pulled Xiaomi, wanting to lead her into the courtyard.

Before they turned, another horse whinnied, followed by a ”whoa~”, as yet another fine horse stopped in front of the door.

”Xiaomi, you were going too fast, luckily there was no one on the street, what if you had run into pedestrians?”

It was none other than the Yingying Xiaomi mentioned.

Yingying dismounted gracefully, followed by a dozen or so guards, who seemed to be in the same state as Xiaomi.

It looked like everyone rushed back overnight.

”Second sister, the horse is a gift from Sister Yingying, I’ve been learning to ride all this time, Sister Yingying, my brother and the others went to the place where the results are posted, let’s go have a look too.”

Even though her second sister said they didn’t need to go, she had been away for over a month, how could she miss such an important moment?

After speaking, she grabbed Xiaoxue with one hand, and Yingying with the other, turned around and ran, only to see a lively group returning as soon as they left the alley.

Xiaomi immediately shouted, ”Mom, Dad, big brother, you’re back.”

Even though they knew Xiaomi would definitely return today, seeing her still came as a huge surprise and brought immense joy.

”Xiaomi, you finally came back, it’s been over a month, why did you come back only now?”

Second mom almost jogged over, hugged Xiaomi tightly and immediately released her, checking her over from head to toe.

”Let mom see how you’ve been, are you hurt anywhere? Why are your eyes all red and swollen, did you not sleep last night?”

Since Xiaomi was born, this was the first time they had been apart for so long, how could second mom not be worried.

Others hurried over too, though they didn’t show it as evidently as second mom, their faces were full of concern, inspecting Xiaomi’s condition with their eyes.

”Mom, I’m fine, over the past month, I learned to ride with Sister Yingying, went hunting in a farther forest, oh right mom, did you receive the things I had someone send back before?”

Xiaomi knew everyone was worried, so she explained as briefly as possible.

Although she had been away for quite a while this time, every few days, she would have Sister Yingying’s guards send some items or letters home, writing about interesting things she encountered.

Everyone knew Xiaomi didn’t like music, chess, calligraphy, or painting, she only enjoyed riding and archery. Knowing that she was safe, they allowed her to stay outside, only telling her the time the results would be posted.

”Let’s not talk about this, mom, how did big brother and Brother Ze do in the exams this time? You’re so happy, does that mean they passed, made it into the top three?”

Reassuring her parents, she eagerly asked about her big brothers’ results.

As soon as she finished speaking, she got a knock on the head.
