The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 569: Chapter 569- [Skill Alchemy]- [Einherjar]

Dismissing the thought, the leader of Cerberus attacked again, this time with more ferocity and strength.

The two clashed in a blur of steel and killing intent, their figures vanishing and reappearing across the battlefield, leaving scars in stone and earth wherever they crossed.

CLANG... CLANG... CLANG.

Their duel became a storm. A hurricane of blades. Every strike carried lethal intent. Every parry skirted death by a hair’s breadth.

Sparks, blood, and fragments of shattered terrain filled the air. The sheer intensity of their battle was so great that even those engaged in fights had no choice but to turn their eyes towards the direction of the two.

What was going on? Wasn’t that their leader? Who is he fighting?

How can the other party stop him?

Doubts appeared in the minds of the members of Cerberus. A fatal mistake that slowed their movements and revealed an opening.

Opportunity!

Kevin, Gwen, and Rolan were not among the ones to let go of such an opening. Without a word, they unleashed all their strength.

Kevin brandished [Tiamat], unleashing [Crimson Field] that placed a set of debuffs on his opponent.

The bald man barely saw the strike that ended him. The other bandits were no different.

Thick fog covered the battlefield Gwen was in.

The sword in her hand flashed, freezing and killing her opponent before they even had the opportunity to scream.

Rolan charged forward, spamming his skills and unleashing hell after entering the state of [One with the Sword].

Within moments, the battlefield shifted.

The two remaining members of Cerberus who were after Eleanor saw their comrades dropping like flies, one after the other.

Realizing that things had gone south and that they had underestimated the brats, they fled without any shame, leaving behind their leader.

Kevin, Gwen, and Rolan did not pursue; their priority was Eleanor’s safety.

After seeing that she was unharmed and simply knocked unconscious, did they sigh a breath of relief and placed their eyes on Delicia’s fight.

”That person is strong,” Rolan gave his honest opinion. If he were in her shoes, he wouldn’t fare any better. Maybe he wouldn’t lose, but he couldn’t guarantee a win either.

”He must be the leader of the bandits,” Kevin commented.

”Idiot, they are no bandits. Their skills are far more advanced and powerful.” Gwen analyzed the situation.

The sudden appearance of this group of men, them slipping into the set without raising any caution, and their trained skills. All of it was far too meticulous to be called a coincidence.

Meanwhile, Delicia and the leader of Cerberus clashed fiercely.

The defeat of his teammates and the defection of the two did not go unnoticed by him. Knowing that the plan was compromised, he wanted to leave this place as soon as possible too.

However, his opponent was proving more difficult than he thought. If he was skeptical before, he was completely sure now. This woman, she had leveled up during their fight.

Although uncommon, there are cases when people leveled up under intense stimulus without the help of the Altar.

Tch... He silently cursed his luck and jumped back.

”Even if you have reached level 6, you cannot defeat me. You should have realized it by now. If we continue to fight like this, one of us is bound to die. As a young, talented knight of a great order, I believe you don’t want to throw your life against someone like me”...

”How about we call it even? I won’t target that woman anymore, and you let me go.”

At this moment, he wanted nothing more but to hightail it out of here as fast as possible. If he failed to escape before the local knight authorities arrived here, his situation would be far worse than it was now.

Though to his disappointment, even while exhausted and bleeding, Delicia held her sword with a composed aura.

Seeing that she wasn’t planning to let him go, the leader of Cerberus became irritated. Aside from her, he was also cautious of the other brats who managed to bring down the members of his band.

While under immense pressure, he wasn’t afraid of them. After all, the deadliest threat often came from the one with its back against the wall. If push comes to shove, he would not hesitate to use the trump card he had been saving this entire time.

Delicia surged forward, raining down attacks on the leader of Cerberus with ruthless precision.

White holy energy surged out of her body, and every time she swung her sword, it sang a hymn.

Step by step, she drove her opponent into a corner, unable to even attack and only focusing on defending one-sidedly.

For the first time since the battle began, the leader of Cerberus was losing.

Seeing the numerous bloody gashes opened on his body and his trembling arms and shoulders, he clenched his jaw so hard that it might have cracked.

You will regret cornering me like this.

Without wasting any time, he reached out to the pouch on his belt, and rummaged something out from it.

Then, in a swift motion, he swallowed the thing.

Just before it disappeared into his mouth, Delicia, Kevin, and the others were able to instinctively see what it was.

A pill.

Dark and veined with crimson lines.

What was it? The thought was squashed by what happened next.

BOOM...

The air detonated. A powerful shockwave surged outward, blowing away everything. The mansion, the set, and even the bodies, everything was blown away in the aftermath.

Delicia and the others endured the storm and kept their eyes fixed on the opponent.

At this moment, a monstrous aura erupted from the leader of Cerberus, distorting space like heat haze. His muscles bulged grotesquely, veins crawling across his skin like living serpents.

Within seconds, his body twisted, ballooning into a towering, disfigured figure, barely resembling a human anymore.

”KILL... BLOOD!” A deep, guttural roar came from his throat.

That aura!

Kevin, Gwen, and Rolan opened their eyes wide in shock. They realized the implications of possessing such an aura.

The three looked at each other.

This kind of pressure, they had felt it before. During training, during their near-death drills.

As a part of the next generation of knights of the Temple of Light, they had trained under Level 7 high-ranking knights.

At that time, they had been crushed by that overwhelming presence, forced to crawl through hell just to survive their training.

Thus, they understood what possessing this level of aura meant.

Level 7!

”How can that guy reach level 7 during the fight?” Kevin clenched his hands, his eyes grave.

”Big sister Delicia can’t handle that alone, we need to aid her.” Rolan spoke, already stepping forward.

But before they could, a hand shot out to stop them.

Kevin and Rolan were shocked as they both turned to face Gwen.

”What are you doing?!”

The latter ignored their protest and continued to observe Delicia, who remained steady as a rock against the storm-like aura.

Seeing no fear or hesitation in her eyes as she calmly faced the opponent with an unwavering sword, she realized that Delicia had yet to give up. Her will hadn’t broken, and her eyes were glued to victory.

Gwen spoke quietly. ”Big sister Delicia plans to face the enemy alone.”

What?!

Both Kevin and Rolan were shocked.

They were unaware of Delicia’s recent growth and thought that it was reckless.

”But she’s only...”

”Don’t underestimate her.”

Before Kevin could speak, Gwen cut him off mid-sentence. As a genius herself, she could see that the Delicia in front of them was different from before. She had reached heights that left them far behind.

It was just like the saying, a genius recognizes another genius.

”She will win.”

Where was her confidence coming from?

While clearly unconvinced, they could only stand in their place and protect Lady Eleanor.

”Kill... kill... kill!”

The leader of Cerberus charged. The ground beneath his feet cracked and cratered with every step that he took.

That was not all, even the air grew heavier around him, as if compressed to the extreme under his raw power.

That said, it was clear that such a power came at a cost, and the cost was none other than his sanity.

The disfigured figure of the leader of Cerberus blurred, crossing the battlefield in a blink.

An avalanche of killing intent crashed toward Delicia. The onrushing tide of violence seemed almost palpable.

Facing it, Delicia simply exhaled and closed her eyes.

At that moment, time came to a standstill, and her consciousness plunged inward. One by one, scenes of her past flashed through her mind.

Scenes of pain, betrayal, and camaraderie. She searched within her inner self, within the place where her conviction burned.

The next moment, her eyes snapped open.

Bright light exploded out of her eyes, and white glowing markings appeared on her body. Holy energy erupted out of her body and charged skywards, forming a small sun.

This sun, which was formed of compressed holy energy, constantly changed shape into different armaments.
