The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 555: Chapter 555- Plans For the Future

After catching her breath, Elina explained.

”I know I am not a High Elf, but I am of Elfenheim blood. I can feel the pull of the seed. In your quest to find the priestess, I can be of great help. I am a level 7 Marksman and have fought the demons. I will not hold you back.”

So that was the reason behind her sudden request.

Elina wanted to help him rescue her kin and revive the World Tree.

Reinhardt, who was about to step foot into the carriag,e halted his steps and turned around.

Indeed, just like she said, he was planning to go on an expedition to find the High Elf priestess. The sooner he finds her, the sooner he can put his plan of reviving the World Tree into action and use it as the bridge to call spirits to this world.

It needs to be said that spirits, even the low level one,s can comprehensively change the power of even a low level in this world.

If spirits from the Spirit World can descend, humans will have another way to fight the demons other than using skills.

Besides, given the current status of the elves in the world, having an elf beside him would greatly work in his favor.

For a moment, the only sound was the creak of the carriage and the distant wind brushing through leaves.

Reinhardt studied Elina, seeing the resolve in her eyes he nodded.

”This journey won’t be safe. It may take us far from known lands. And if the demons sense the Origin Seed...”

Since the demons have gone so far as to wipe out the entire bloodline of the Elfenheim royal family, they would not sit still after sensing an Origin Seed.

”I won’t slow you down,” Elina replied instantly. ”I swear it by the songs of the ancestors.”

”Good.”

Reinhardt wasn’t afraid that she would slow him down after all, she was a level 7 marksman and given her powers, she would be an excellent addition to his team.

Just as they were about to head out from the corner, Eldrin walked in.

Seeing this, Reinhardt boarded his carriage while his knights mounted their horses, leaving the couple to talk to each other.

”Have you really set your mind?” Eldrin asked.

Elina nodded her head.

”Lord Reinhardt plans to find her no matter what. As Elves who possess the Elfenheim’s blood, it is our duty to find the princess.”

”Very well.”

Eldrin did not say anything more.

”Take care of yourself.”

Although he wanted to go with her, as the new village chief, he had many responsibilities.

Besides, he had already put her in danger once by foolishly believing his father and choosing to sacrifice her for the village. He had no right to say that he would protect her.

.

Inside the carriage, once Elina got in, the coachman snapped the reins, and the convoy began moving.

When the door was closed, the noise from the outside was cut off.

Reinhardt glanced at Elina, who was sitting opposite him with her legs crossed and an upright posture. Her bow and quiver were set next to the seat.

”Will your husband be all right with this? Besides the mission being extremely dangerous, there is no way of knowing how long it will take.”

Hearing his question, Elina smiled beautifully. ”He approved.”

”Oh?”

”The reappearance of a pure-blood royal line from Elfenheim is not a small matter. If there is even a chance to restore the World Tree, personal concerns become secondary.”

”I see,” Reinhardt nodded.

After that, silence stretched between them.

Reinhardt leaned back against the seat slightly, his eyes glancing out the window, drifted somewhere else in thought.

He had reincarnated in this world for close to 3 years now. During this time, he had encountered numerous Demon Generals and the Lower Heavenly Kings.

Not long ago, he had even defeated the Eleventh and Twelfth Heavenly King along with Vaerion, a noticeable achievement for mankind.

During this expedition, he also noticed the presence of another Heavenly King quietly laying schemes. However, the other party was obviously cautious of him and continued to avoid him, using some fate distorting Ultimate Demonic Treasure.

Then recently, there was the attack on the capital that led to the Queen awakening her other soul and the fragment inside her.

What started out as an accident was later revealed to be a plot from a Heavenly King, whom he strongly believed was the Ninth Heavenly King.

Then, on a trip to Aetherion to indulge the willfulness of the Princess, he learned that one of the Five Heroes of Aetherion had died in one of the expeditions to the Tainted Lands, and the incident related to his death was filled with mysteries.

It needs to be stressed that a level 10 knight is the peak of humanity. Even if it’s the weakest, they had no doubt stepped into the realms of heroes with at least one of their stats reaching EX.

Such a combat strength was enough to even fight evenly with some lower Heavenly Kings.

But not only Sir Caelum Argentis, the Skybearer died, even the possessor of Holy Sword Durandal, Sir Gawain was seriously injured.

The sudden turn of events, the escalating appearances of the lower Heavenly Kings, and the tumultuous Tainted Lands made Reinhardt feel like there was a big change about to come.

And as if to prove this, there was no way of knowing what was going on deep inside the Tainted Lands.

Why was there no activity from the Middle Ranking Heavenly Kings, like the Seventh Heavenly King for so long?

As he thought, he would have to explore the Tainted Lands to know what the demons were scheming.

That said, exploring the Tainted Lands was not eas,y especially after the incident of the Bloody Rain, where a large coalition army of the seven kingdoms that also included knight orders from the smaller nations and was essentially the full force of humanity was wiped out.

After that, delving deep into the Tainted Lands had become forbidden. The upper echelons of the seven kingdoms who had become paranoid and even fearful, made a law not to dive inside Tainted Lands after a certain point.

As such, even if Reinhardt wanted to launch an expedition into the Tainted Lands, he would need the permission from the King and Queen of Solaris.

Thankfully, the Queen was now his woman, and getting the permission from her would be easy.

Reinhardt’s goal for this mission, aside from searching for the High Elf Priestess, was also to change the law forbidding the exploration of the Tainted Lands, after all, there was no way of knowing if the elf he was looking for was in the seven kingdoms, the smaller nations, the frontier lands, labyrinths/shelters, or captured by the demons.

As there was no lead, he had to think of the worst outcome possible and hasten this mission of his.

The bad feeling he got earlier further confirmed that she might be in a perilous situation.

Time was short, and the demons wouldn’t remain passive forever.

And so while gazing out the window, he made several plans in his head.

Across from him, Elina, staring at his handsome profile, was also dazed. Her gaze drifted, unfocused and complicated as memories surfaced in her mind unbidden.

The day when he had descended like a miracle, his light tearing through despair. On that day, when she was chosen to be one of the sacrifices and led inside the dungeon, she witnessed the demon and its malicious schemes.

She knew that she had died that day. However, when light sifted through her retinas again, she found the silhouette of the man in front of her sighing in relief after seeing them alive.

The ability to revive the dead back to life, it was a power that defies all sense and bordered at the level of Divine.

As the sole witness of the events of that day, she believed that Reinhardt was the light that was sent to protect them and strictly guarded this secret of his.

Additionally, after that day, after being saved by him, she realized that her heart was captured by him. After all, she was at her lowest point, and the man appeared in front of her like a knight in shining armor.

Scenes from that night flashed before her.

When she sneaked into the bathroom with the excuse of helping him clean his body while he was bathing. His divinely magnificent body, perfect features, golden eyes, she remembered those scenes as if they had happened yesterday.

Their shared times, the pleasure of connection when he entered her, the fulfillment, the melody of their moans as their wet bodies entangled, the scent, and the ushering of the hot white bliss that filled the emptiness within her.

Whether it be the emotions that surged within her that day or the act of copulation, the memory, as if it were engraved in her soul, refused to leave her side.
