The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 290: Chapter 290- Vangeance Enter’s Zone

Uh-oh!!

As he was still not very used to this new ability of his sword, he could not activate it repeatedly, not to mention this swiftly.

The outcome.. At that very instant, Kevin’s eyes opened wide, and the tiger devoured him, sending him flying through the air like Team Rocket. With three out, only three remained.

”Gwen, I heard you can use a skill that shoots forth a big column of water? Can you aim that at me?”

Vangeance’s sudden request baffled Gwen. Nevertheless, she agreed and quickly used her skill.

BOOM... a vast column of water jutted out from the tip of her sword, crashing into the knight in front of her and launching him forward.

Vangeance’s face twisted a little from the force of Gwen’s attack. Nevertheless, he toughed it out and placed his attention on the incoming tiger in front of him.

Call it bad luck or whatever, but thanks to messing up the timing, he now had to face two air current tigers at once. That’s right, there was one more tiger hiding right behind the other.

Facing an attack that was powerful enough to even break the bones of a true knight, Vangeance smiled. As adrenaline rushed into his body, a wild beast like nature that was inborn in his blood, surfaced up, causing the knight to surprisingly power up.

”Your blade shall carry the weight of your vow. Your movements and your swing shall become one with your mind, breath, and blade. Finding unity in all three will remove all gaps... Come!!”

He repeated those words he learned from Reinhardt like a chant and executed the second light of the [Holy Blade Arts].

BOOM... a deafening explosion noise rang out from the air bursting, followed by a berserk to the extreme gale winds that left the confines and were now assaulting the other knights and teams.

All eyes focused on a single knight who was at this moment facing not one but two of those mind numbing air currents.

”Haaaahh!!” Vengeance gave a fierce warcry as he felt the weight of the air currents transfer into his arms than into his body through his sword. The pain was so great that he felt his body tearing from the inside.

Nevertheless, instead of backing down, he pressed forward with his momentum. It seemed like he had made some progress on his mastery over the Second Light as the fierce tiger seemed like it was losing out in the contest of might.

Yes, that is, until the second tiger joined in.

BOOM... the tiger swept its claw, and at that very instant, the air current picked up speed, pushing Vangeance behind. The latter had to struggle to keep himself from falling back.

ROARR... Planting a foot down, he roared like a beast and increased the power behind his swing.

CRACK... there was a solid, almost crisp sound of something breaking. Everybody knew that Vangeance had broken his bone. Yet the man continued going forward. His loud beast like warcry rang across the training ground, causing others to also feel the blood pumping, adrenaline rushing situation that he was going through right now.

BANG...

His sword was pushed back, breaking multiple more bones.
Splash... veins burst, causing him to spurt out blood from his nose, which then flowed into his grinning mouth, painting them crimson. At this moment, the man really looked like a demon who clawed out of the abyss.

The man named Vangeance, as if determined to cut these berserk air currents in half, continued to struggle. The extreme winds tore apart his training gears from his arms to his chest, revealing his squirming veins and stone like body.

Maybe it was his sheer determination or reckless death seeking nature, but he pushed his body so far to the limit that he actually physically caused the doors of enlightenment to open, allowing him to peek at the secrets of the sword art he was so desperate to master.

”Hoh?” Reinhardt, who was watching the knight, nodded his head in approval. As a knight himself, he knew what kind of state the former was in.

The realm where all useless thoughts disappear from your mind, your cognition, comprehension, and clarity reach a new level, allowing you to grasp all concepts, also known as the Zone.

That’s right, Vangeance had slipped into that state and was now fiercely improving his mastery over the second light of the [Holy Blade Arts].

”Hm?” At this moment, Reinhardt noticed some pecularity. As if it was incited by the attempts of the knight to stop it, the gale force creating the air currents vibrated with a unique fluctuation.

At the same time, the two tigers started merging together at a visibly fast rate.

If the two air currents merged together, the resulting power that they would create would be far greater than what a level 6 knight can handle. No matter how tenacious and steadfast the knight was, it would be a big problem if those two air currents merged together.

As could be seen from the merger of the two air currents, the resultant beast image that was formed had the faint appearance of a dragon.

From a mighty beast of the jungle to the sovereign of all beasts, just by the appearance the air current took was enough to tell everyone that the power it held now was vastly different than before.

It was not the simple addition of one plus one but a berserk multiplication of power. That being said, Reinhardt did not intervene. This was also a form of trial for the knight.

Would he be able to grasp the new power up he just received, or will he fail?

As fate would have it, Vangeance was a step faster. He grasped the concept of [Heart of the Sword] and executed the Second Light.

At that instant, the Divine testament of the Sword displayed its unparalleled power, cutting the dragon in half.

Huff... Huff.. Vangenace huffed, stumbling a little but still standing firm on his feet.
