The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 279: Chapter 279- Greetings With Bullets (2)

With Melissa leading, the two of them arrived in front of a large mansion. Given its size, it could even match the one their Arcknight family has. Yes, in terms of size that is. However, in terms of visuals, the mansion in front of him appeared to be in a severely unmaintained state.

Wild plants and grass covering the entirety of the place. As he stood there, for a second, Reinhardt thought that he had arrived in a different block.

”Does that friend of yours live in here?” he cannot be blamed for asking that question after all, a person who would live here would make anyone doubt their mental state.

”Haha, she is a sad soul. The last time I came here, this place didn’t look that bad.”

Melissa smiled sadly before pushing the gate and heading in. As the place looked like it had been abandoned long ago, there was no point waiting outside for someone to come and open the gate for them.

Creak... having not been maintained, the iron gate made a rusty creaking noise. At the same moment, Reinhardt’s senses picked up some movement inside the mansion.

Just as Melissa opened the door and headed in, Reinhardt stepped in front of her, shielding her from the bullets that rained down on her.

Tick... Tick... Tick... the person, even after unloading all bullets on them, continued to pull the trigger of the flintlock in her hand.

”H-How can you still be fine even after taking all the bullets?” the assailant questioned.

At this moment, all the bullets that hit Reinhardt fell to the floor, unable to pierce him at all. Well, given that level and stats give you power well beyond that of guns and any modern weapons, it was useless on anyone above level 3.

Never mind Reinhardt, who was standing at the epitome of human strength. Far from penetrating him, the surface of the bullets got flattened as they hit him instead.

”Eh? B-Bullet?!! Eleanor, are you trying to kill us?”

At this moment, Melissa, who was shielded by him and narrowly escaped death, woke up from her momentary shock and questioned her friend.

That’s right, the woman standing in front with her gun pointed at them was none other than the woman they came here to look for.

Dirty robes, unkempt, messy hair, and a mask covering her face. From which angle did she look like an extremely famous person to her? He wanted to question Melissa. However, Reinhardt decided to observe the situation first before saying anything.

The woman in mask tilted her head for a second muttering, ”You know my name?”

Finally, after deliberating for a while, she seemed to have realised who Melissa was.

”Ah, Melissa, is that you? It’s good to see you again after so long”.

”What good? I was almost about to be killed by you”.

At those words, the masked woman hid the gun behind her back and scratched her hair. ”Ah, I am sorry. I thought you were those stalkers”.

Watching her actions, Reinhardt was forced to admit that she was quite expressive. Even the way this woman apologised was extremely graceful and enchanting.

”The last time I visited you, your condition didn’t seem this bad. What happened?”.

The woman did not answer. Instead, she looked behind them as if searching for another presence before putting her own questions.

”Did you close the gate behind you? Was there anyone following you?”

Melissa creased her brows, sighing in pity. She then walked towards her friend and hugged her.

”Tell me what happened?”

”It’s a long story and without any food and drink, are you sure you want to listen?” Her unique play of words suggested that she wouldn’t open her mouth without being served food and drink.

”Alright, I’ll look for what I can make. But given the condition of your mansion, don’t expect anything too good”.

At those words, the masked woman rejoiced loudly. ”Melissa, you are simply the best. It’s too bad that you are married, or else I would have married you myself”.

”Don’t speak nonsense and tell me where the kitchen is. This place is such a stable that it is impossible to find one’s way here”.

”Sure,” the friend who was just about to lead them to the kitchen suddenly turned around and asked a peculiar question.

”By the way, who is this man, and why are your tits and ass out? Well, it’s your body and hobby, so I have no right to complain. However, since when did you become such an exhibitionist?”

Melissa’s body froze in place. Earlier, she was so concerned about her friend that she completely forgot about the fact that she was wearing no underwear currently.

Additionally, the situation was also so fazing that keeping appearances was the last of her worries. Right after entering, she was about to die at the hands of her very own friend, who emptied all the bullets from her gun at her.

If not for the fact that Reinhardt was along with her and shielded her from the bullet, she might have actually died here today.

”T-That..” Melissa struggled to find appropriate words.

”She is currently in the middle of a punishment that bars her from wearing any underwear,” the one to answer was Reinhardt.

The masked woman nodded as if it were a perfectly plausible answer before placing her attention on him.

”You are?”

”I’m her employer and also the Governor of the Snowpoint City”.

He introduced himself, his words suave. Though the next second, the words that the woman spoke made him twitch his brows.

”Oh, you are the city lord that wants me to manage his brothel, right? I see, I get it now”.

Seeing Reinahrdt’s slowly darkening face, Melissa interjected.

”Eleanor, what did we say about calling it the House of Accord?”

”Eh? Ah, right, right. You guys are still in the stage of being embarrassed for no reason. Look, when I used to manage one of the biggest whore house in the capital for Her Majesty the Queen, we didn’t need to use these fancy names when talking amongst ourselves”.
