The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 285: Chapter 285- Eleanor Makes Her Decision

She got a room and even maids to clean it for her. Eleanor did not have to live like a hobo anymore.

”As for your guards, members of my squad will protect you in rotation whenever you go out. In the mansion, I am there, so no one would even dare intrude inside. Anyone who does, well, I would like them to try”.

She did not need to live constantly on edge of her stalker. House, maids, protection, it was not the end.

”Here,” Reinhardt passed her a pouch that clinked when she caught it. ”There are exactly 3,000 gold coins here. Although this is not much for a former actress, it should be enough for you to buy anything with this amount in this city here for a month. After you start your job, I will increase the amount based on your results”.

She did not have to worry about not having money.

”As for the Theatre, it is still under construction. I cannot do anything on that front. Though if you insist, I can increase the number of workers...”

”No.” Before he could continue, Eleanor put a hand on his lips to stop him.

”You have already done a lot... thank you,” Her eyes became teary at the end of her sentence.

Ever since three years ago, she had been constantly living on edge because of that stalker. Not being able to eat or sleep well. Nightmares tormented her, and her mental state deteriorated by the day.

She burned through all of her savings like crazy, buying weird things and weapons. She got scammed and lost all of her wealth. She scarred her face to make herself look disgusting to others.

Every stare and glance became like a needle that she could not take. At some point, she even had the thought of killing herself. However, probably because she lacked the resolve, she could not kill herself in the end.

During that time, the one who appeared before her was her friend, and this man. He swept her off her feet and released her from all of her troubles. Like a knight in shining armor, he arrived before her when she was at her lowest of the low.

Eleanor who already had a soft spot for him, fell for him.

”Truly~ thank you.” As she hugged him, Reinhardt felt her body tremble. The woman was crying silent tears.

Seeing this, the knight slowly placed a hand on her shoulder.

”If you are crying, just cry, let it all out. There is no need to suppress it. Silent tears are for men, it a part of our trial that only makes us stronger. Do not try to imitate us” he spoke patting the back of the woman.

Finally, as if a dam had been released, all the frustration, suffering, fear, trauma... everything that she felt, she released it all out. By the time she stopped crying, Reinhardt’s suit and shirt were all wet with her tears.

”S-Sorry, I dirtied your clothes”. She knew how much of a clean freak the man was. Seeing her bawl all her tears on him, he must be disgusted.

However, when Eleanor saw Reinhardt’s face this time, there was no sign of disgust. Indeed, it was true that he had pushed her away in disgust the first time. However, that was because she was dirty at that time.

However, now that she was cleaned, he did not mind her hugging him or wetting his clothes with her tears for that matter.

”What good is a man’s chest if he cannot even support a woman who is going through a lot? Don’t worry about my clothes, it’s a stain of honor for any knight”. His words were cheesy, but that was just this body’s disposition.

A beautiful smile appeared on the beautiful Eleanor, whose body suddenly felt weak. Her vision blurred, and before she knew it, she passed out.

Reinhardt hurriedly caught her and carried her in his arms.

”The exhaustion from all these years must have hit her all at once now that she had relaxed her guard. Let her sleep here. I will assign a maid to keep watch over her and take care of all of her needs,” He assured Melissa, who was quite worried for her friend.

”Un, thank you, lord Reinhardt. Although this girl was always smiling and acting normal in front of us, I could tell that she was faking it. Even if she is an outstanding actress, she is still just a woman”.

.

”Ungh~” Eleanor slowly stretched her body, feeling all refreshed. How long had it been since she slept on nice cushiony bed like this? It was so long ago and so many things happened after that, that she could not even remember it.

All she knew was that she was at her happiest right now. As the morning rays of the sun fell on her eyelids, she woke up from her sleep.

”Eh? Who are you?”

Seeing that there was a maid slowly folding the curtains of the window in her room, she could not help but question.

”Um, I’m Misha, a maid in training. The headmaid assigned me as your personal maid from now on”.

So that was the case. Eleanor nodded her head. Seeing the maid named Misha, she could tell that the latter was quite young and inexperienced.

”Nice to meet you, Misha. Were you waiting for me to wake up?”.

”Yes, I wanted to ask what you want for the afternoon?”

Ah, how she missed this kind of lifestyle. A maid waiting on her was something she had missed quite dearly ever since dismissing all of her subordinates.

”Afternoon, huh? Ungh, what time is it?”

”It’s past 11:30”.

”What? How long did I sleep?”

Shocked at how long she had slept, she got up from the bed and stretched her body. As an actress, it was a must for them to maintain their hourglass like figure and sexy curves.

After stretching for a while, her stomach growled from hunger and she finally had her peaceful breakfast brought over to her in a long time in a while.
