The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 146: Chapter 146- A Single Knight: Vangeance (2)

”However, moving an entire order just for some weak foes is too much. We will only send one knight to our opponents to send a message; no, to drive into their skulls what an actual knight looks like.”

That made more sense. All the knights nodded their heads. Soon, they started looking at Reinhardt with heated eyes, asking to be picked.

”Vengeance, you will do it. Show me how much you have grown since I picked you all those years ago from the Magic Knight exam”.

The knight who was picked had the most rough looking appearance out of all the knights here. Not only did he have scars on his face, but he also had tattoos and edgy hair. He was the current youngest knight in their order and a former ruffian.

”Leave it to me, boss. I’ll rough them up. Nobody looks down on the Order of the Temple of Light while I’m still alive”.

His almost too feverish words caused his teacher, Marcus, who similarly possessed a similar background in the past, to twitch his eyes.

”Un, bring them down. Just leave the leaders of both organisations alive, I want to make an example of them in front of everyone...”

The knight was already gone before he completed his sentence.

”He did hear my orders, right?”

.

The time was in the afternoon, the sun was slowly setting down on the horizon, casting an orange glow over the city. The people of the central district returned from their work just like usual, thinking that it was like any other day.

However, they were soon woken up from their delusion when they saw a huge explosion go off in the distance where the tall iron factory was in an eye catching manner.

”W-What’s going on? The explosion came from the iron factory. Did some accident occur there?” The crowd was rattled when a couple more explosions rang out one after the other, all of which came from the iron factory.

By now, the citizens of the central district were alarmed that something was indeed happening inside the iron factory.

The place that was the source of the disturbance was soon crowded by the public. After a while, screams started coming out from the factory, and before long, people came out of there screaming and bloody.

A single man wearing a full body armor of exquisite quality and finish was slowly pacing behind them. The others were running; however, he appeared to be walking, and yet he was easily keeping up with their speed.

”Ah, this place was a bust. The leaders were not here. Well, at least the oppressed workers here are freed now”.

Just as he said that, one could see people coming out of the factory. Given their appearance and obvious poverty, the public quickly realised that they were citizen of the outer district.

”Oh no!! Those people are free. What are the guards in the iron factory doing running away from a single knight?”

”Wait, look at the emblem on the armor of that knight. It is the Temple of Light!”

”What? The Temple of Light is attacking the Iron factory”.

Everyone was shocked; however, their shock quickly turned into dread when they saw the power of that knight. In the blink of an eye, he disappeared from the vision and appeared before the running guards of the iron factory, bisecting them into numerous pieces.

His slashes were so fast that it was impossible for them to capture it with their eyes.

”Hm, since this place is a bust, they have to be in that place,” the knight who slaughtered the guards of the iron factory as easily as if they were mere ants, glanced in their direction.

It was just for a second, but that short instant was enough to make their bodies go soft and fear overwhelm them. The next second, the knight disappeared.

.

.

Labor union headquarters, the place was a tall and stately looking building at the heart of the market. Inside one of the office rooms of the building, the union leader, the boss of the mafia Coas Nostra, and the guild master of the merchant guild were having a meeting.

The three of them sat around a table while drinking and smoking inside the office room.

”It has been two days since then. I’m sure that upstart noble has realised his place by now,” the union leader laughed.

”Well, he is new to this city after all, so it is only obvious he does not know the rules of this place. This should teach him.” The boss of the mafia was in agreement and laughed out loud.

”Hmm, but isn’t he also the commander of a knight order? I heard many rumors of his feat in the other cities.”

The guild master of the merchant guild was more sceptical. He wanted to avoid any complication with the new Governor, who was also a commander of a knight order.

”You see, the thing about legends is that they tend to be exaggerated. I have also heard about the Governor’s legendary feat. However, think about it, is it even possible for a human to do such things? You have seen how the Tinker Knights were?”

”Ah, I remember, my gang member beating the shit out of a couple of knights quite a few times. Man, it was a good show. I have already told my people that there is no need to worry about the new knight order. If they dare try to get in your way, just beat them up. It will all be solved if I give some gifts to the governor the next day, just like I did with the Baron.”

The union leader and the boss of Coas Noastra spoke in tandem to disperse his worries. Added that to the narcotic effects of the alcohol and cigar, the guild master was starting to believe it.

BOOM... at this moment, the building shook intensely. Mafia members from the Caos Nostra entered the room to protect their boss.

”What’s going on?”

The latter asked smoking his cigar.
