School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 493: Chapter 547: The Call with the Old Man

”Hearing what Chen Nan said, not only did the Black Feathered Chicken roll its eyes, but everyone else was speechless too.

This super-smart chicken, in his mouth, somehow turned into a brain-dead that often played the fool.

\”Damn it, Chen, you dare insult my intelligence, I’ll fight you to the death!\” Black Feathered Chicken flapped its wings furiously, but since its beak was held by Chen Nan, its voice was muffled and unclear, which sounded quite funny.

\”It’s really something for an old chicken of more than ten years, almost smarter than humans,\” a classmate exclaimed.

The Black Feathered Chicken rolled its eyes repeatedly, yelling, \”I’m much smarter than you stupid humans.\”

But its beak wouldn’t open, so basically no one could understand what it was saying.

Li Li frowned and asked, \”You said this chicken was entrusted to you by your grandfather before he passed away, for you to take care of it?\”

\”Yeah, this chicken was my grandfather’s most beloved pet when he was alive.\”

Chen Nan nodded, his face the picture of sorrow, looking for all the world like he had truly lost a dear grandfather.

\”It’s really commendable, your filial piety. Sit down now. Since this chicken can understand human speech, just make it clear to it that it’s not allowed to disrupt the classroom from now on,\” Li Li waved her hand, signaling Chen Nan to sit down.

\”Thank you for your leniency, teacher.\”

Chen Nan said thank you, but he was thinking to himself, isn’t Li Li too easy to deceive? Much easier to fool than that sly girl Lan Yuqin.

Su Qingqing gave him a thumbs up, whispering, \”Dummy, you’re such a great actor, I almost believed your crap.\”

Chen Nan glared at her, \”What crap, I always speak the truth.\”

Su Qingqing scoffed and turned her head back to continue listening to the class.

...

Night.

After dinner, Chen Nan returned to his room.

Sitting on the bed, he couldn’t help thinking about what his junior sister had said here last night. She was now his deputy, the princess of the Sky Team.

\”Damn that old man to hell, dragging me into this was bad enough, why did he have to involve her too?\”

Chen Nan worried. His junior sister, such a kindhearted person, having joined the Sky Team, what if she encounters danger during a mission?

Taking out his phone, Chen Nan dialed Xuan Tianji’s number.

The call barely connected before Xuan Tianji’s curse came through, \”You little rascal, what do you want from me?\”

Chen Nan spoke seriously: \”Old man, what are you trying to do, making Yiyi the princess of the Sky Team?\”

\”If you’re calling about that, don’t bother me anymore, goodbye!\”

\”Wait!\”

Before the old man could hang up, Chen Nan quickly said, \”As the Crown Prince of the Sky Team, am I not the supreme commander?\”

\”Of course you are, what about it?\”

\”Good, since I am the boss of the Sky Team, I am now forbidding Ye Yiyi from joining the Sky Team. Send her back immediately,\” Chen Nan spoke firmly, \”or else, you can dismiss me from my position!\”

Xuan Tianji’s tone was equally resolute, leaving no room for negotiation, \”I declared her a princess, and so she is, and you, boy, have no say in it.\”

\”Since you insist on making her a princess, then from today on, I am no damn Crown Prince, and I have nothing to do with the Sky Team anymore.\” Chen Nan spoke resolutely. This was the first time he had truly confronted Xuan Tianji.

In the past, the master and disciple had often quarreled, but it was always in jest.

\”Damn it, you little scoundrel, how dare you threaten me!\”

\”I’m not threatening you; it’s up to you to figure it out!\” Chen Nan said, \”It’s impossible to remove this Crown Prince Ring, I’d rather chop off this finger if I have to, and you know I would do it.\”

Xuan Tianji fell silent for a long moment before saying, \”Are you worried she might be in danger at the Sky Team?\”

\”Exactly.\” Chen Nan admitted, \”I just don’t understand, with so many experts under your command, why must you drag her into it? Don’t you feel any guilt at all?\”

\”You will understand some things later.\”

\”Stop talking about later. If there’s really something going on, then explain it to me now,\” Chen Nan said with annoyance, \”When we were kids, you kept us apart, and now that I’ve finally found her again, you actually send her to the Sky Team. What are you trying to say?\”

\”What I’m doing is for your own good,\” Xuan Tianji contemplated for a while and then continued, \”Yiyi is not only your junior sister but also my disciple. I care about her no less than you do. Rest assured, in the Sky Team, I will not let her get hurt.\”

Chen Nan’s tone intensified: \”If you really care about her, let her come back to me now!\”

\”No!\” Xuan Tianji rejected, \”Just be a good Crown Prince, and I promise you she won’t get hurt. You’ll understand the reasons eventually. Don’t make things difficult for your master.\”

\”But I just can’t figure it out, why do you keep tearing us apart time and again!?\”

\”The days are long, and there will be time for you two to be together,\” Xuan Tianji said somewhat helplessly, \”You, my boy, are destined to encounter many romantic interests. If you like those girls around you, don’t leave them hanging, treat them well, it’s all predestined, Yiyi won’t blame you.\”

Chen Nan frowned deeply: \”What does that mean?\”

\”The machinations of Heaven cannot be revealed, that’s all I can tell you. Alright, it’s getting late, I’m off to sleep,\” Xuan Tianji said.

\”Finish what you were saying... hello? Hello?\”

Chen Nan wanted to press for answers, but the old man had already hung up the phone, and it was switched off when he called back.

The old man’s words seemed to suggest he should be more of a Casanova and pursue all the girls he liked? Damn, that was just too unreliable!

After putting down his phone, Chen Nan felt a lot better.”
