School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 460: Chapter 514: Sisters Reunite

”Senior Brother, what’s wrong with you?”

Noticing something off about Chen Nan’s expression, Ye Yiyi grabbed his arm and shook it, looking at him with confusion.

”I...”

Chen Nan hesitated, then shook his head after a moment and said, ”It’s nothing.”

Ye Yiyi wasn’t foolish, and seeing Chen Nan’s reaction, she immediately had an ominous feeling and asked, ”Did... did you fall for another girl?”

Though she trusted her senior brother, Chen Nan’s earlier reaction made her consider that possibility.

Chen Nan quickly shook his head, ”No, how could that be!”

He had never lied to his junior sister before, but this time, he had to lie, he had to hide the mess he had made, he simply couldn’t dare to tell his junior sister.

”Then why do you look so awful? You scared me to death, I thought you had fallen for another girl.”

Hearing this, Chen Nan felt even more guilty.

He took a deep breath in secret, trying his best to calm his mind, ”Silly girl, stop overthinking. I was just feeling guilty about how much you’ve sacrificed for me.”

”That’s nothing, no matter how much I have to sacrifice for you, I’m willing,” Ye Yiyi laughed.

”How else would I call you a silly girl?”

Chen Nan quickly reached out to hug her, not daring to meet his junior sister’s eyes, afraid she would see through his thoughts.

...

After staying a while at the Thatched House, the two descended the mountain.

Driving the Land Rover, they returned to Ningjiang City around nine in the evening.

”Haven’t been here for two years, the city has become more prosperous,” Ye Yiyi observed while looking out the car window.

Chen Nan laughed, ”Yes, the proverb says ’things remain, people change’, but in this day and age, it’s become more like ’people remain, things change’.”

Ye Yiyi burst into laughter, ”You’re still the same, always liking to change the sayings. By the way, where are we going?”

”Where do you want to go?”

”Let’s go to my place,” Ye Yiyi said. ”I haven’t seen Xinya for so long, I don’t know how she’s doing, I want to see her.”

Xinya!

Chen Nan’s heart skipped a beat.

Just yesterday at this time, he was hugging her on the sofa, whispering sweet nothings.

”She’s doing quite well,” Chen Nan said.

Ye Yiyi turned her head, ”Right, I haven’t talked much about her with you, how well do you get along with her? Are you familiar?”

More than familiar!

They had even shared a bed last night, although nothing happened...

To cover his nervousness, Chen Nan quickly said, ”Familiar, of course, familiar, she’s like my sister-in-law, I have to get along well with her, right?”

”We’re not even married yet, and you’re already calling her sister-in-law, aren’t you embarrassed?” Though Ye Yiyi said this, her heart was incredibly sweet.

”Isn’t it just a matter of time?”

Chen Nan smiled, turned the steering wheel, and drove towards Huo Xinya’s home.

The Land Rover sped under the streetlights, and ten minutes later, they arrived at the residential area where Huo Xinya lived.

Looking at the tightly closed door, Chen Nan laughed, ”Don’t make a sound yet, let’s give her a surprise.”

Ye Yiyi smiled sweetly, nodding in agreement.

Chen Nan knocked on the door several times, ”Xinya, are you there, open the door.”

At that moment, Huo Xinya was sitting on the sofa, lost in thought, reminiscing about the various moments with Chen Nan from the day before. Just then, she suddenly heard Chen Nan’s voice, which made her whole body jolt with excitement, and she quickly ran towards the door.

”Click...”

The sound of unlocking came, and Huo Xinya, somewhat excited, pulled open the door, ”Chen Nan...”

She hadn’t finished her sentence when she saw Ye Yiyi standing next to Chen Nan. She paused for half a second before rushing forward to embrace her tightly, ”Sister, you’re back!”

”My little sister has become even more beautiful.”

Ye Yiyi said happily, holding her cheeks in both hands.

The two sisters stood outside the door, asking each other how they had been over the past two years, chatting nonstop. Eventually, Chen Nan, feeling helpless, had to grab their hands and drag them into the house.

Once inside, the sisters sat on the couch and continued their endless conversation.

Chen Nan looked on gloomily from the side, feeling completely ignored.

In the end, having no choice, he went into the kitchen to cook. Although Huo Xinya had already eaten dinner, he and his junior sister hadn’t even had lunch!

”Senior brother, let me help you cook.”

Ye Yiyi stood up and walked towards the kitchen.

Chen Nan shook his head, ”You two keep talking. It’s been so long, you must have a lot to say.”

”We can chat later. Let me help you cook first.”

Ye Yiyi said, already walking into the kitchen and starting to help, while Chen Nan smiled and did not refuse.

Meanwhile, Huo Xinya stood at the kitchen door, watching the man she loved interact so affectionately with her sister, feeling a sharp pain in her heart. Although she had said she would forget Chen Nan after breaking up, in fact, such matters are not easily forgotten.

Compared to before the breakup, she now felt deeper emotions and knew even more how important Chen Nan was to her heart.

Last night, she had been the one cooking dinner with Chen Nan, but today, it was her sister. She could only stand by, watching silently and shedding silent tears.

Subconsciously, she murmured, ”If only you weren’t my brother-in-law, how good that would be.”

”Xinya, what did you say?”

Ye Yiyi, although not catching it clearly, heard something and quickly turned to ask.

Huo Xinya suddenly snapped back to reality, feeling her eyes moisten, and quickly turned around saying, ”It’s nothing, you guys continue cooking.” Then she quickly walked back to the living room to wipe her eyes.

She told herself secretly that now her sister was back, she must not harbor any thoughts about Chen Nan, not even a little bit.

”What’s with this girl, so strange.”

Ye Yiyi muttered, not thinking too much about it, unable to imagine that her dearest little sister could have an affair with the brother she loved the most...

Chen Nan also felt very uncomfortable; he knew Huo Xinya was jealous.

Both sisters were dear to his heart, and being with them, if he wasn’t careful, someone would get hurt, which was a very troubling issue.

During dinner, Huo Xinya felt quite heavy-hearted, sitting there without much conversation.

Chen Nan knew what was on her mind, so he tried to control the intimate gestures between him and his junior sister, but Ye Yiyi, unaware of these subtleties, kept sweet-talking and serving dishes to Chen Nan, leaving Huo Xinya feeling distraught.

Chen Nan also felt torn, unsure of what to do.

After barely eating anything, Huo Xinya stood up and said, ”I just ate dinner and am not very hungry; you two go ahead. Sister, you haven’t been home for so long, let me find you some clothes to change into.”

Having said that, she turned and headed back to her room.

Ye Yiyi didn’t notice anything unusual, but Chen Nan knew she was deliberately avoiding them.

Looking at his junior sister, he said, ”You eat first. My phone is out of battery; I’m going to borrow her charger to charge it.”

”Hmm!”

Ye Yiyi nodded.

Chen Nan stood up and went into Huo Xinya’s room, where he saw her standing by the window, silently watching the night scene and shedding tears.
