School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 459: Chapter 513 Heart Affairs

Chen Nan opened his eyes, let out a breath, and stood up tall.

Feeling the explosive power throughout his body, he had the illusion that the whole world was within his grasp. At that moment, he even had the urge to challenge a Taoist Master to a duel.

”Big brother, you’ve broken through!” Ye Yiyi exclaimed excitedly.

Chen Nan nodded and said, ”Thanks to your Fire Lotus, otherwise, I don’t know how long I would’ve had to stay in the Ninth Layer of Heaven.”

With your talent, you wouldn’t have needed much time to breakthrough even without the Fire Lotus,” Ye Yiyi said excitedly, her confidence in Chen Nan even greater than his own in himself.

In her heart, big brother could do no wrong, although her own cultivation had already surpassed Chen Nan’s.

He held her snow-white, slender fingers and kissed the back of her delicate hand, laughing, ”Now you are at the Ten Layers Heaven Peak, you’ll have to protect your big brother in the future!”

”Silly brother, you’re making fun of me again,” Ye Yiyi said with feigned anger, ”If it weren’t for a month in this valley, I would be at most in the Ninth Layer of Heaven right now.”

Chen Nan said with a proud face, ”Anyway, my Yiyi is clever, unmatched by anyone, a unique and extraordinary girl in this world.”

”You’re also one of a kind.”

Ye Yiyi smiled happily, her beautiful eyebrows curving, every smile and frown reaching the pinnacle of beauty.

After chatting for a while, the master-disciple siblings took the Jade Lotus Platform and left the Protecting Valley Formation.

The Monk who abstained from sensual pleasure still followed the old rules, blindfolding them before leading them out of the Immortal Spirit Valley and back to the Fire Qilin Mountain.

”There are still two sisters who’ve lost their way waiting for this poor monk to rescue, benefactors, we shall meet again if fate allows,” the Monk laughed heartily, his figure flashing, already dozens of meters away.

Although the siblings were grateful to the great monk, they were rendered speechless by his behavior.

As a monk, he didn’t chant scriptures or worship Buddha, and even thought about chasing after girls every day. To Chen Nan, the only term that came to mind for such a monk was ”unreliable.”

”Maybe all high monks are like this!”

Watching the direction in which the Monk had disappeared, Chen Nan laughed, ”Just like the Monk Jigong on TV, although not lecherous, he never refrained from meat and wine.”

”Regardless, with the great master’s martial arts and compassionate heart, he is worthy of being called a high monk.”

Ye Yiyi, looking at the snow-covered Fire Qilin Mountain beneath her feet, said, ”When I was gravely injured and near death, if not for the great master’s pity, timely rescue, and taking me to heal in the Immortal Spirit Valley, I fear I would’ve long been separated from you, brother, by life and death.”

Chen Nan nodded, ”We must repay such kindness from the master someday when the opportunity arises.”

”Yeah, I hope the great master gets the good karma he deserves.” Ye Yiyi pointed in another direction and said, ”I want to visit the place where I used to live, big brother, will you come with me?”

”Of course.”

Chen Nan smiled, took her hand, and the two walked towards the Thatched House.

The arrangement inside the Thatched House remained the same as it was a month ago.

Since Ye Yiyi had lived there for two years, naturally there were stocks of rice and grains, but the vegetables had long since rotted. The siblings cooked some porridge for breakfast and then started a snowball fight on the mountain.

After having their fill of fun, they returned to the Thatched House once again.

”Senior brother, I like the tranquility. Let’s not go down the mountain, okay if we just stay here?”

Upon hearing his junior sister’s words, Chen Nan was immediately troubled.

He knew that his junior sister liked quietude, unlike his own fiery temperament. Two months ago, before going to Ningjiang City, he would have agreed to her without hesitation, promising to never leave her side and live like an immortal couple on this mountain.

But now, he had too many people in his heart that he couldn’t let go of, and he had also promised Su Qingqing that after finding Yiyi, he would settle in Ningjiang City.

That girl had lent him the Lotus Platform, and it would be somewhat excessive if he didn’t keep his promise.

Seemingly sensing Chen Nan’s reluctance, Ye Yiyi hastily said, ”It’s alright, senior brother, I was just saying it. Wherever you go, I will follow you, and I will never part with you again in this lifetime.”

Chen Nan hugged her tightly in his arms, ”Yiyi, I know you like tranquility, and I too want to spend an immortal-like life with you. But, I have already promised someone else that I would go back to Ningjiang City.”

Ye Yiyi looked at him with confusion, ”Who did you promise?”

”Her name is Su Qingqing, she’s the girl I told you about before, the one who looks exactly like the Holy Maiden.”

Chen Nan stroked her long hair, ”When I first arrived in Ningjiang City, I was so poor I didn’t even have food to eat. I then became her bodyguard. This Jade Lotus Platform belonged to her grandfather’s family as an ancestral item. It was because of her persuasion that I was able to borrow it. She has been kind to me, and I promised her that after finding you, I would continue to be her bodyguard. Now, I can’t betray her kindness. Do you understand?”

Chen Nan could only say that he was a bodyguard; he didn’t dare to mention his ambiguous relationship with Su Qingqing, otherwise, how heartbroken would his junior sister be?

Ye Yiyi nodded her head, ”Right or wrong, I support all your decisions.”

Chen Nan held her, and kissed her fair jade-like cheek, ”You are so good to me.”

”You’re my senior brother, if I’m not good to you, who else should I be good to?”

Seeing the happy smile on Ye Yiyi’s face, Chen Nan felt that he had wronged her deeply.

For him, his junior sister would disregard everything, even after not seeing him for eight years, her eyes only ever held him, her senior brother, yet he, behind her back, had feelings for another girl, and got close to other women.

Chen Nan felt like he was a scoundrel.

He even hated himself, why was he so fickle? Why did he have to fall for other women? Why was he always unable to resist the temptation of beautiful women?

”Senior brother, what’s wrong?”

”No... it’s nothing.”

Chen Nan suddenly came back to his senses, shook his head vigorously, and after hesitating for a while he said again, ”Yiyi, you shouldn’t be so good to me, I’m afraid I’ll let you down.”

”What are you talking about, senior brother? I like you in my heart, of course I should be good to you!” Ye Yiyi said with a face full of happiness, ”Besides, how could you let me down? Even if you really do something to wrong me, I won’t blame you.”

Chen Nan looked at her, fell silent for a while, and then said, ”But what if I did something unforgivable?”

Ye Yiyi smiled and shook her head, ”I don’t believe you would do something unforgivable. When we were children, you held my hand and told me that when we grew up, you would marry me and love only me for all our lives. So, I believe you would never fall in love with someone else. Other than that, everything else can be forgiven.”

Chen Nan’s heart shook.

Everything else could be forgiven, but this one thing could not!

And regrettably, it was precisely in this matter that he had wronged his junior sister.
