Reborn : Space Intelligent Woman

”Yu Qi, what are you doing here?” Grandpa Long asked.

”Someone wants to see me, and it is already over.” Yu Qi smiled.

Grandpa Long did not ask more.

”I am going to return to FINN City tonight. So, I am hoping to have dinner together.” Yu Qi said.

”Of course, why not?” Grandpa Long agreed. ”But you should come to my house first. Get some sleep. I can tell that you are tired.”

”Hmm... I will do that.” Yu Qi nodded.

Grandpa Long immediately called the butler, telling him to expect Yu Qi to come. Yu Qi told her bodyguards to drive her to Long Mansion. The butler welcomed her. Yu Qi smiled and told the butler that she would be going to the room to get some rest.

...

”Shu Jin, how about we have a vacation together?” Yu Qi said.

”Sure, we can ask Meng Xuan to join us.” Bai Shu Jin nodded.

The excitement in Yu Qi slowly dissipated. She wanted them to go together, only two of them. They had been engaged to each other for about one year, but Bai Shu Jin was lukewarm toward her. She was trying to get closer to him, but she did not get much response from Bai Shu Jin.

”Okay...” Yu Qi could not help but agree.

So, the three of them went on vacation together. Yu Qi silently watched Bai Shu Jin and Fung Meng Xuan laugh together. If people saw this, they would automatically assume that Bai Shu Jin and Fung Meng Xuan were the real couple while Yu Qi was the third wheel.

Yu Qi did not feel hurt at all because she did not love Bai Shu Jin at all. She got engaged to Bai Shu Jin because her family wanted the engagement. Well, to be more precise, it was her uncle, Mu Li Zei, who arranged the engagement for her. He told Yu Qi it was for the family. Yu Qi wanted to make herself useful to the family. So, she agreed. She got engaged to Bai Shu Jin.

”Yu Qi... Yu Qi...” Fung Meng Xuan waved her hand in front of Yu Qi.

Yu Qi snapped back to reality. ”Oh, sorry... Sorry...”

”What are you thinking that you don’t hear I am calling you several times?” Fung Meng Xuan asked.

”Nothing. I am just thinking about my work.” Yu Qi smiled.

”Tsk... Why are you thinking about work when you are on vacation?” Fung Meng Xuan patted Yu Qi’s shoulder.

”Well, I can not help it.” Yu Qi laughed it off.

”Let’s go play that. I want to try it.” Fung Meng Xuan said.

”Hmm...” Yu Qi agreed.

She thought Fung Meng Xuan asked her to come with her to play together. Instead, she chose Bai Shu Jin as her partner.

”Yu Qi, can I borrow Shu Jin for this?” Fung Meng Xuan still smiled.

”Huh? Oh... Okay...” Yu Qi stuck there watching Bai Shu Jin and Fung Meng Xuan having fun together.

At the end, they had their fun together leaving Yu Qi watching them. After that, they returned to their hotel to have dinner together. At the dinner table, Bai Shu Jin ordered the finest wine in their collection. Fung Meng Xuan was happy that she could taste such a fine wine.

Yu Qi did not drink it because she could not handle even one sip. She did not want to make herself drunk and vulnerable. Fung Meng Xuan kept discussing about the taste of wine with Bai Shu Jin. Because of that, Yu Qi did not even have a chance to talk. She kept silent and ate in silence.

Yu Qi wanted to have a walk with Bai Shu Jin to digest the dinner earlier. However, Bai Shu Jin rejected her, stating that he and Fung Meng Xuan would go to the bar to drink. Since Yu Qi can not drink, she should not tag along.

Yu Qi nodded. She returned to her room alone. She did not notice that Fung Meng Xuan smiled.

...

Yu Qi opened her eyes looking at the unfamiliar ceiling. She then looked around. The memory became clear. She was in the room at Long Mansion.

”Why did I dream about that?” Yu Qi held her head. It is probably because I met with Fung Meng Xuan earlier.”

She invited Bai Shu Jin to go on a vacation together. But Fung Meng Xuan joined it. At that time, Yu Qi did not think much about Fung Meng Xuan and Bai Shu Jin being together. Their relationship probably began much earlier than Yu Qi expected.

”Hmm.... It is not important anymore. Let’s forget about that.” Yu Qi said to herself.

Then, she heard a knock on her door. She got out of bed and opened the door.

”Miss Yu Qi, Master wants me to inform you that he and you will be having dinner at home. Dinner will be ready at 7.” A maid told Yu Qi.

”I see. Thank you.” Yu Qi nodded.

Yu Qi looked at the time. It was 6 p.m. She went to the bathroom to take a bath. Feeling refreshed, she got out and got dressed. She dressed casually because she would leave later.

After that, she walked out of the room, heading to the dining room. She met the butler on the way.

”Miss Yu Qi.” The butler greeted Yu Qi.

”Hmm...” Yu Qi nodded at the butler.
